A Tattered Promise ♦Anime Cross over♦♀Uchiha Itachi♂ ♥Chapter Nine: The 'Bond' we share

I run down a hall, i look in each room as as pass them, "shit.." i groan and fall forward, i look at my legs and see i lose more blood from the burns, i sign and crawl to the wall and sit against it. I do some shaky hand signs, i hoover my hand over a shadow created by the candles, i drag it to my legs and they form thin threads and sew my cuts on them up, i sign and lean back further, i then clear my throat "SASUKE KUN!" i yell out, no answer, "well i tried..." i close my eyes then open them, i take a picture from my pouch. The picture was of team 7, Kakashi had his hands on Naruto's and Sasuke's heads as they glare at each other, Sakura pulls a cute pose while Kakashi forces himself to smile, i kneel in front of Kakashi with my hands on Sakura's shoulders. I smile at the picture "if only things could go back to the way they were?" i wipe my tears away and stand back up and return the picture to my pouch then start running again.

After about half an hour of running i take a break, i take my water bottle out my pouch, i groan as there is only a small drop left, "where's the kitchen in this place?" i moan, i then take the last drop and stand, "geez where's someone when you need 'em" i flick some hair back, i yelp and jump back as a beam of wood almost hits me, i slowly walk towards the hole, i glare as i see Orochimaru "still alive i see your wounds haven't killed you yet" he smirks i stick my tongue out at him, i blink as he now stands infront of me gripping my tongue inbetween his fingers. "Your tongue looks dry" he mocks and runs his tongue over it, stopping me from escaping his free arm holds me in place. He lets my tongue go and i shiver wildly in fear, he pulls me closer and rests his hand under my chin "don't worry that wasn't posion" i stare in fear at him "ill let you live for the time being Naruto kun, just try and kill at least one more Akatsuki member" Orochimaru smirks and turns his head back to me, he pushes me against the wall, Yamato, Naruto and Sakura jump through the hole, "bye for now Ume chan, i leave you with a parting gift" he jumps back and does some hand signs, Sakura pulls a kunai out and stands to guard me, i shiver and weep "Sakura chan stop-" "Shut it and go look for Sasuke kun!" i try and nod but glare and push Sakura out the way and take the attack from Orchimaru, i whimper in pain, i watch as he bites my hip and doesn't releash it till i scream in pain and fall to the ground. "Ume Sensei!" Sakura screams and runs to my side, i scream more in pain from my hip, "you bastard..." Naruto curses "i have business now with that Sai kid, "Ume sensei!" Naruto kneels down, i keep screaming and grip his hand, "Naruto kun gomensai, if i...i wasn't in this state and tried to stop S-Sasuke kun back then we wouldn't be in this mess....gomensai for being a burden" his eyes widen, he grips my hand back "you are not a burden, you are one of the great kunoichis of Konoha, you're amazing you had your own reasons for letting Sasuke go i know, you know him better then anyone so maybe he did go on his own will but we'll still bring him back to Konoha even if he's kicking and screaming" i smile and nod, i not pull a face of pain and whimper. "Let me see" Yamato steps forward, i pull my dress up slightly and my hot pants down, "it's different this time only two claws now!" Sakura says in shock, i huff and look down at it, "the pain's worse then last time" i moan as Naruto pulls me to my feet with my arm round his neck, "don't worry once we get Sasuke back we'll head straight for the village and get you seen to" i nod and walk through the hole. "Gomensai im slowling you down" "will you stop it you're not-" Naruto's cut off but Yoshi scooping me up so i sit on his back, he barks "Yoshi kun i thought you were.." he barks as if talking to me, i nod "hai okay he said he was guarding Kabuto with Your wood senpai but the clone told him to leave" "YOU UNDERSTAND HIM!" Naruto and Sakura yell, i look at the ground "Sai's bag" Yoshi walks towards it and sticks his head in and inhales Sai's scent, he jumps slightly and spreads his legs slightly "he's caught on to his scent" "This is?" i look at Yamato, "what is it?" i stroke Yoshi's ear slightly making him turn round, "a bingo book..." m y eyes widen "what is it?" Sakura and Naruto join, i gulp as each ninja in the book had a big black X over them, Yamato then turns the page, "Sasuke kun..." my eyes shake in shock "that bastard" Sakura clenches her fists, "so Sai's mission is to..." Naruto stares shocked, "to kill Sasuke kun, Danzo must see him as a threat to him" i drop my head, "what do mean?" "well what ever Orochimaru's doing he needs Sasuke and if Sasuke is gone then he's plans can't be carried out right?" "Hai Sai's mission was to deliever a message from Danzo to Orochimaru" i nod at Sakura "it was inofrmation of the Hokages ANBU" Yamato's eyes widen, "Orochiaru asked Kabuto to make it into a Bingo book", "Ume chan, Yoshi lead the way to Sai!" I nod and tap Yoshi's thighs lightly with my feet making him turn round and run ahead but at a lowish speed so the others can keep up. As we turn the many corners we stop from an explosive making Yoshi fall to the ground knocking me off, "Ume sensei" Sakura helps me up, "that must be where Sai and Sasuke are?" i say, Sakura nods "Y-Yoshi" he gets up and shakes his heads then barks at me, i nod and climb back on his back, I tap his thighs and he starts running again.

We turn another corner and Naruto starts catching up to Yoshi, "Sasuke..." he says gritting his teeth, Yoshi then stops as we see Sai, Sakura then charges ahead "Sakura chan!" i yell and get off Yoshi and run after her. AS she exists the coridor she grabs Sai's shirt "I knew it you!-" "Huh? Sakura" i stop "Naruto then runs past me, "Sasuke kun" Sakura says, Naruto trips then gets back up, he then exists the coridor "so it's you too Naruto, does that mean Kakashi is here too" Yamato walks past me, "sorry but Kakashi is unable to be here so im here in his place, we team Kakashi are going to take you back to Konoha" i walk out the coridor with my head, "Ume so your with them as well that must mean the second Curse mark of that set has been placed" i nod "Sai I knew it!" i glare at Sai as he holds his katana out, "so he's my replacement is he?" Sasuke looks at Sai, "he was saying some nonsense about protecting a bond between me and Naruto, one more pansy for group quite the fit im sure" Sasuke stares at me for a moment, my legs then give way, Yoshi zoos in catching me on his back, he barks and flaps his tongue as he huffs and stares at Sasuke, "It's true my top serect mission was to assassinate Uchiha Sasuke, but i no longer care for those orders i want to think and act for my self, because of Naruto kun i feel i like be bale to remember something, remember how i use to be, something which i can't help but feeling was very important to me" i look at Sai then smile, "i may not know you well but i know there's a reason why Sakura chan, Naruto kun and Ume sensei chase after you with so much passion, in order to prevent their bonds with you from breaking, to keep them in tact they are doing everything they can, i still dont have a very good understanding of it myself, but you Sasuke kun should know-" "Sure i know thats why i severed all but one, It's true i have a bond with Umebecause she was the only one in that pitiful village that took me in, after the masscre my clan name was tainted and i was alone but she took me in and raised me, the only one that didn't talk dirt about my clan,it's because of my Brother who i hold another bond to, a fraternal bonds forged through hate, having too many bonds causes you to lose focus, weakening their strongest wish and desires" i look down "if thats true...." i look at Naruto as i steady myself on to a rock, "if thats true then why....?" i frown "WHY DIDN'T YOU KILL ME THAT DAY?! IS THAT WHAT YOU CALL SEVERING BONDS SASUKE?!" "Naruto kun...." i hold my hand close to my chest "the reason is simple and it wasn't that i wasn't able to sever my bonds with you" Sasuke closes his eyes as he talks, he snaps his eyes open "i simply didn't want to give him the pleasure of seeing me submit to his plans" "what do you mean?" Naruto asks stepping forward, "there's need to tell you" "Naruto i'll tell you later" Naruto nods "Still the one thing i can say to you, back then on that day i chose to spare your life simply for the whim of mine" i my eyes widen, i see Sasuke had disappeared, i look at Narutp and see he's stands infront of him with his arm round his front, "Naruto isn't it your dream to become Hokage someday?" I use Yoshi to balance as i get ready to move, "you would have been better off training all this time then chase after me, don't you think Naruto?" i stare at Sasuke then glare "and thats why this time you're going to end up losing your life all at the whim of mine" my eyes widen as Sasuke begins to pull out his katana, i go to grab his wrist before he pulls it out fully but i fall as my legs are weak. "Like there is any chance for someone to become hokage who couldn't even save a friend, don't you think Sasuke?" "SAI!" i scream, he nods "SASUKE KUN!" Sakura screams, Sai runs and blocks Sasuke's attack, "that was the correct way to defend my attack" i shiver from the strange feel coming from Sasuke, Naruto grips his arm and fips himself up. Sasuke closes his eyes then reopens them, 'sharingan' i say to myself, Yamato the performs some hand signs and aims some wood at Sasuke, i have to cover my eyes as a chidori is emitted from Sasuke's body, Sai, Naruto and Yamato are all kncoked back. I remove my hand and see Sakura charge at Sasuke, "Sakura stop!" i get up and run at her, Sasuke glares and makes a chidori round his katana and aims it Sakura, im almost in front of her but Yamato jumps in first and takes the attack, Sasuke runs the katana into Yamato's shoulder and pushes it in deeper knocking him into a rock and floor. "Your choice of defense quite the mistake" i manage to stay standing "Yamato senpai" "you see this sword of Kusanagi im holding is a little special it can't be blocked" i look at Naruto, i see the Kyuubi's chakra starting to come through again, i quickly activate my Akkigan and stare into his eyes. I step back as i stand in front of The kyuubi, Naruto and Sasuke stand there too, "Nakagawa...you were the vessle of the Juubu" i nodded "That bitch used me to escape!" he roars and i fall and stare in fear, "Ume sensei how are you-" "those eyes of yours girl, get them away from me, they disgust me!" "you will do well to treat her with respect!" Sasuke snaps, "now im able to see this is your source of power, it's hard to believe something like this exists inside you, but then again Ume you also had one too" i nod, "im impressed that you've become able to see me inside Naruto such would be the accursed Sharingan and filthy Akkigan, your two foresake ancestries!" the fox growls i shiver, "it appears this isn't your first time that you gazed upon the Sharingan nor the Akkigan, which would make you...The Kyuubi no doubt", "one eye stolen while the other with more power and chakra more sinister than mine, not at all what i once saw in a certain Uchiha Madara!" i shiver insanely as Sasuke grips the nose of the fox making it explode, i quickly deactivate my Akkigan and return to the fight outside Naruto. I see Sasuke and Naruto return also, Yamato then does some hand signs and some woods comes from his wood pushing the sword back, as Sasuke is pushed back Yamato takes the chance to make a wood dome round him. As it closes off Sasuke breaks through the top and returns to his orginal spot above us on the cliff made, "Sasuke.." Naruto groans as he looks up at him, "Don't you get it your body is going to be stolen by Orochimaru anytime now!" Naruto warns, i freeze and let some tears go i look at Sasuke, his expression doesn't change then he lowers his lids, "if it happens it happens, you're still quite the kid Naruto" i shake my head "Sasuke" i whisper Yoshi rubs his head against my thigh, i ignore him, "revenge means everything to me, as long as i can have my revenge i could not care less what happens to me or the whole world for that matter" i bite my lip and more tears pour out, "let me make it clear for both you and Orochimaru" i clench my hands to together and hold them under my chin shaking, "for both me and Orochimaru killing Itachi is impossible, but if im able to accomplish my goals through nothing more then offering Orochimari this body of mine then he can have my life-" "STOP IT!" i scream throwing my fists down, "Listen to yourself Sasuke kun, stop it! You Baka! If he takes your body then it will be him killing Itachi not you! Your Goal would ahve died like you baka, Baka, BAKA!" i scream and sob heavily, "thats enough talk, Naruto and Sakura i had hoped not to have to resort to any of my cruder methods while you were here, but unfortantly it's time to get serious!" "Yamat-" im cut off by Sasuke grabbing me and throwing me down an open corridor then return to his spot "Konoha indeed im through with you, now things end!" i here Sasuke yell, i feel alarge amount of chakra start to build up, i start running back, "now now there's no need to use that Jutsu" i stop and shake, "remove you hand" Sasuke snaps, "again you forget who you're talking to" Kabuto's voice appears "i have no reason to stop-" "Ume chan, if you use that Jutsu she will definetly get hit even if she's hiding in the corridor there" i sign as he's noticed me again, i slowly step out "now Sasuke kun you know full well what Akatsuki is up to, we want Konoha to take care of many members as possible and even just one would be fine, if the other members of Akatsuki get in your way your plans for revenge is a snag right?" "thats quite the pathetic excuse" "but surely you'd allow it if it meant increasing your chances of your revenge succeeding by 1% right?" Sasuke stays silent then snatches his hand from Orochimaru's grip, "lets go" Orochimaru demands, the three then disappear in flames. I huff out then fall to my knees, hear Naruto crying, "crying...can't bring Sasuke kun back!" Sakura shouts, "im still with you we'll get stronger together" i lower my head, "we still have about 6 months since three's better then two, and im pretty strong myself" i smile at Sai "hey you mean four right Sai" i giggle "hai gomen Ume sensei" i stare at Sakura and give her a warming smile, "heehee thanks" i grin at her "lets go" Yamato says and i climb on Yoshi's back.

Konoha:

"I see" Tsuande obaa chan says as we inform her on the mission, i huff and wobble slightly, i feel all the shadow jutsu i had done on my self keeping the wounds closed slowly begin to weaken, i groan slightly and grip the curse mark on my hip 'shit....' i lower my head in pain "Ume chan is everything alright?" Tsuande obaachan asks, i nod slightly as my knees slowly weaken and i lower. I then fall completely and black out, i hear a few screams "Ume Sensei!" Naruto and Sakura scream, "Ume chan!" Yamato, Shizune and Tusande obaa chan scream.

My eyes twitcha and i slowly open them, i quickly close them and grip my hip as i sit up, "Ume sensei" i blink and stare at the door, i see Team Gai standing there with a fruit basket and smiling, i smile back and sit up straight "ohayou" they walk in, they come and stand by my bed, "wow you're pretty beaten up" i nod "i fell over hee hee" i rub the back of my head, Tenten then pokes my forehead "nice try but Sakura chan told us everything what happened, inculding the curse mark" i nod and hold her hand and sqeeze it "don't poke Tenten im like a bear poke me and i'l bite" i bite my teeth together making her shiver, i notice Guy was here "hey where's Guy?" "eh hes" "im right here I knew you call for me one day Ume chan, Kakashi not pleasing you enough i see" "security" i say pressing the help button.

After about an Hour of Guy's one sided love i sign and lean back, i yawn "the suns going down" "what time is it?" i look at the clock above my door, "6:45 pm" i read, i sign once more "really i've been asleep for most of the day" i rub the back of my neck then start getting out of bed, i look at my legs in shock. Their both covered in banages with seals the same Sasuke had to have on him when the curse mark was sealed on him, i run my hand over them flinch, "fuck..." i stare at my arm that was broken, it was also bandaged but instead of seals there was some wires running through the bandages to guess it keep my bone in place while it heals. I then slid out of bed, my legs wobble as first but slowly begin to walk out the door, i look for the room, i smile amd wobbly walk over to it, i tap it lightly then wait, "come in" i smile and slide the door open "konnichiwa senpai" Kakashi looks up from his book, "Ume chan..." i walk in and sit on his bed, "so where's this curse mark Yamato told me about?" i look at the ground then pull my gown up and my hot pants down showing my the curse mark, "two claws..." "there were three but that was on my thigh" "so it seems he's created a new curse mark and testing it out of you" i nod "Kabuto said i was the first person to survive this long" Kakashi then spreads his hand out and touches the mark, i twitch slightly but make sure he doesn't notice, "if you want once i get out i can seal it?" i shake my head "no point Orochimaru said this is 2 of 3 curse marks, all 3 make the final one so then i guess will be the best time to seal it when the final one is made" he pulls his hand away and i pull my gown down, "you right just promise me something" what i say laying next to him, "don't go running off to Orochmaru for power" i smile "i won't pulse Sasuke left because he wants revenge i would have no reason to leave" i say and cuddle into his hip and close my eyes, i start to get sleep and drift off.
