The Love That Let's Go(Peter Pevensie) Chapte 4

Peter and I followed Lucy out of the house to see who was here but I didn't go and the group instead I went my own way I needed to be alone I had to think over what just happened it was all too much it I promised myself I wouldn't fall for him I would focus on protecting them and getting them safely to the stone table but the more I got to know Peter the more I fell for him and the more I couldn't be away from him too long it was driving insane and it was starting to get hard for me to keep my promise that I would do anything to save Edmund and bring him back to his family. I just wish I had some way to make it easy so I finally came to a solution that I would take them to the stone table then find a way to rescue Edmund and I wouldn't fail this time. I headed back to my parents house and in the woods there was a man in a red coat and had a long white beard and I knew right a way that it was Father Christmas and I knew I had to get them across the river fast we didn't have time to rest. Father Christmas just finished handing out gifts and I saw Susan got a bow and Arrow and that I would have to teach her a bit more and I saw that Peter got a Sword and shield which is a good thing and I would have to teach him I also noticed that he was playing with a little box in his hand I wondered what that was but I soon remembered that we had to cross the river and it was almost gone.

"Alright everyone we have to get a move on we don't have time to rest and have a little party winter is almost over and we still have another river to cross it is the river Rush it's a lot smaller so it won't take as long then we have to go up throw some more woods and at the bottom of the hill is where the camp is and where Aslan is waiting for us." I ordered.

"Alicia James before you go I have a couple of gifts for you it will only take a few minutes." Father Christmas.

"I guess I can spare a few minutes but then we will have to hurry." I said.

"Alicia James I have been watching you grow and turn into a beautiful young lady as brave as your father and with the kindness of your mother I have a couple of things that were you parents precious belongings this first thing was your Father's dagger he was hoping that someday you would have this the second thing is your mother's favorite necklace your father gave it to her a couple of days before their wedding night and it has been her dream to see you where it on your wedding night like she did and there is one more thing that belonged to your mother but Aslan has it safely with him and when the time is right you will receive it. Now I must go and so you do if you want to get to Aslan before dusk. Long Live Aslan." He said and then he was off I quickly put the necklace and my father's dagger in my bag and kept my old one by my side.

"Alright let's move it pack up the tea and we will be off." I said.

When we got to the river i saw that there was just enough of ice beneath the frozen water fall we had to cross now.

"We have to cross now." Peter said.

"Wait we should think about this for a minute." Susan said.

"We don't have a minute." He retorted.

"I'm just trying to be realistic." She countered.

"No your trying to be smart as usual." He said.

"Would you too please stop fighting we don't have time to argue. Susan I know you are scared but sometimes you have to face your fears if you want to survive take it from someone who knows. Just hold onto me and I will lead you to safety trust me I have gotten you this far I will get you to the stone table before dusk." I said and she took my hand and I went ahead of everyone carefully but quickly soon I heard a howl in the distance.

"Great not him again he is really getting on my nerves. I'm sorry Susan I have to let go I have to fight him but the good thing is we are halfway there." I said.

Soon enough the wolves ambushed us and was blocking us Mr. Beaver went charging at one of the wolves and stopped him by biting his neck and Maugrim decided to go after Peter instead of me what was he thinking it was really stupid because I killed one of the wolves who was after me right away he was very weak then pretty much the whole pack except for Maugrim was up against me I could of killed them all at once but I had to help Peter, Susan, and Lucy.

"Peter kill him Narnia needs you." Mr. Beaver shouted soon the waterfall broke.

"Peter do something." I shouted then all a sudden he stabbed his sword into the ice and the block that they stood broke away and floated away. It was a good idea and it worked the beavers dove into the water and helped pulled the block of ice toward shore I was going to help them I was already on the other side but I noticed that Lucy wasn't with them I looked around and I saw her struggling with the current so I threw off my coat and armor and dove into the river.

"Alicia what are you doing?" Peter shouted.

"My Job I have to help Lucy." I shouted and they turned around and saw where I was going Lucy was holding on to a vine trying to swim to shore but the current was to strong I used all my strength and swam toward Lucy I grabbed her hold of her waist.

"Lucy let go I got you." I shouted over the roar of the river she let go and wrapped her arms around my neck I was starting to lose my strength but I had enough to get us both to shore as soon as Peter pulled me onto the shore I collapsed in his arms and here carried me to where we were going to stop for the night it was almost dusk and we weren't going to make it to the stone table we would have to leave first thing in the morning. I was going to take first watch but Peter insisted he would when everyone else was fast asleep it was just me and Peter left alone.

*Peter's POV*

"Alicia I want to thank you so much for everything you did today the way you held off the White Witch while the rest of us got to safety and what you did a couple of hours ago when you fought of all those wolves and most of all you fighting the current to rescue Lucy. You are amazing and not to mention you are the greatest cook of all and when I look at you I feel something I've never felt before and never thought it would ever happen to me. Alicia I love you and I feel that we are meant to be together." I explained playing with the little box that has a ring in it that Father Christmas gave to me telling me that the time to give it away to that special person was near. Could he mean that I was to give it to Alicia someday soon I really want to give it to her but when is the right time to ask her to marry me right now would be a good time we are alone and the sunset is very pretty but I'm afraid maybe it would be better if I wait until after the battle or until we get to the stone table.

"You are welcome and it is my job to protect your family and to be honest I'm in love with you too I tried to ignore it because I didn't want it to interfere with my job I thought it might slow me down but I can't hold it back anymore." Alicia said and then we looked each other in the eyes and soon enough I kissed her and she kissed back I deepened the kiss and she deepened it even more and soon we started snogging it lasted for a whole minute. Soon we pulled away and I held her close to me and we took first watch together soon we were both getting sleepy and we woke up Mr. Beaver for his watch and then we both went to sleep next to each other it was the best night ever.

*Alicia's POV*

I woke up just as the sun was starting to rise I was all refreshed and in a great mood and it was even better because all the snow had melted and flowers were in bloom and what made it better was that I saw my best friend Flora who was an Apple tree was up and moving.

"Alicia OMG! Is that really you I haven't seen you in like forever my you have turned into a very beautiful lady what have you been doing lately the last time I saw you was when we were 7 and staying with Tumnus." Flora said.

"I've been training with the centaurs and Dwarfs and being a spy for Aslan and as soon as the others wake up we are heading to the Stone table to see Aslan." I replied.

"Who are the others? Is one happen to be a boy? I saw you Snogging one last night." She said great she saw that how embarrassing.

"You saw that? How embarrassing." I replied.

"Who is he and he looked rather handsome. Is he a son of Adam?" She said.

"Yes he is and he happens to be my future husband and the Future High King. Aslan himself gave me the mission to protect them and lead them safely to him and it hasn't been easy I have been fighting the secret police and the white witch the whole way it is exhausting. Anyways I better wake them up we still have a little ways would you like come with us?" I replied.

"I would but I'm technically there already there but I will see you there I'll Aslan know you are on your way." She said.

"Ok thank you Flora see you in about 4 hours." I said and then she floated away.

As I returned to the camp with some fresh Apples that she gave me it would be nice to have some fresh fruit for breakfast after having smoked fish for pretty much every meal as I walked by so many Dryads and Hammer-dryads kept on giving me fresh fruit. As I got to the Camp Peter was the first one up he was putting more wood on the fire.

"Morning beautiful sleep well?" Peter asked giving me a kiss he was going to take out some fish.

"Yes I did and you can put the fish away we are having a fruit salad for breakfast with fresh fruit." I said kissing him back. Soon everyone was awake.

"Good morning Peter and Alicia you two seem very cheery today. Did something happen last night that I don't know about?" Susan said winking at Peter I just blushed.

"Breakfast is ready today we are having a treat we are having Fruit Salad a gift from my friends." I said. Everyone dug into the fruit they were all really happy and once everyone was finished we packed up and was on the 4 hour trek to the stone table.
