A Soldier's Heart-Shape Up
WARNING: There is some violence in this chapter, and abuse. If you don't like it than just skip past that part. This chapter is from Lily's p.o.v., I own all :3I want to fall for Emmett? Do I? I wasn't really sure. "Are you all right Lily?" I nod, before remembering that he can't see me. "Yeah..I've just got a little bit of the stomach flu. I'm doing all right though. My mom has to work late and I don't know when my dad will be getting home. So I'm just waiting. Braiden went to our Grandma's. I made the football team..And I, hold on." I set the phone down, running for the bathroom. I fall to my knees, emptying the contents of my stomach. I sigh, leaning back. I've got to lay down again. Walking back to my room takes a lot of strength. I feel so weak when I'm sick. "Sorry about that Emmett..My stomach was acting up again." He's still calm, his voice smooth. "Your fine Lily. I get to come home for awhile in about two months. I'd love to come and see your game. I'd love to see you." I blush, thankful that he can't see me blushing. "You have no idea how much I would love to see you." DidI really just say that?Once again, I'm thankful that he can't see me. "I'll let you know whenever I get to come home. I have to go now Lily. I'll text you or call you whenever I can. I miss you.." He whispers that last part. I'm not sure if he meant to say that. "I miss you too, bye." I blush bright red, hanging up.I don't feel like eating, ordoing anything else. I turn a movie on and lay under the covers. I watch the movie for about fifteen minutes before I start drifting in and out. Finally,I allow myself to sleep. I don't dream this time, and I'm glad. I never liked having dreams, made me realize what reality was missing. When I do wake up it's dark outside. My movie is over, and I glance at the clock. It's almost six thirty..Guess that I had better get out of bed. I feel a little bit better but still don't feel like eating. Mom still won't be home but I'm not sure about dad. Getting out of bed I stretch slowly, not ready to push boundries. I muster up some strength to walk to the living room. I stop walking by the living room. Blood is on the wood floor. I take a deep breath, walking towards the kitchen. Dad stands in the kitchen, a washcloth in his hand. "Hi dad..Did you get hurt?" He doesn't say anything, wiping his hands. "Just a small cut. Who were you talking to?" He throws the washcloth in my face. I let it fall to the floor. I freeze, unsure of what I'm supposed to tell him. That I was talking to my crush. Warning: Violence Begins. I look at my dad and see his eyes are bloodshot. A bottle of wine sits opened on the counter. It's half empty. "Dad-" I don't finish my sentence. He slaps me across my face. I struggle to catch my breath, feeling my cheek. He grabs me, pushing me onto the floor. Istruggle to get up, gasping as he kicks me in the stomach. I can feel each kick to the ribs. He grabs me by the hair, yanking me up. I gasp, feeling like my hair is being ripped out. "Dad.." He looks me in the eyes. His breath reeks of alcohol. "You better shape up Lily..Don't tell your mom about this. Or Braiden. Don't breathe a word of it. You understand?" I nod, looking at him with fear. He drops me, walking into the living room. Violence Ends. What does he mean by shape up?
