Megan's POV

BEEO BEEP BEEP! I slammed my head on the alarm to shut the darn thing off. What was I thinking waking myself up at 6:30 in the morning.... I was just about to drift off when I shot upright. Today was the first day of school! On crap I was going to be late. I threw on a pair of skinny dark wash jeans and a cute graphic tee. With phone and backpack in hand I rthundered down the stairs and grabbed a bagel on the way out. I quickly yelled a good bye to my mother and hurried to get into my black jeep wrangler. I had gotten the car as a early birthday present last year. You could call my family rich but me and my sister Haily work for what we've got. I started the car and pulled out of the drive way and cranked up the music. Stronger by Kelly clarkson was on and sang along. "what kills you makes you stronger!" I didnt care if those were the right lyrics or not but I had to turn it off as I pulled into the school parking lot. I saw a bunch of people I knew and waved. I had to circle a couple times to finally find a spot. I pulled in next to a bright red truck. It looked kinda of beat up but still a nice car. I got out and ran tword the school and just made it in as the bell rang. I rushed off to my first class of the day. And the first class of the year that I would be spending with Calum. The day rushed by with me trying to concentrate on my work but i always felt someone watching me and when ever I turned around to look no one was. By the end of the day I was officially creeped out. I was going to try out for the basketball team this year and we were going to do tryouts on the outside court since it was so nice out. We were right next to the football field too so I could check out all the players for this year. I changed quickly and headed outside. On my way over I saw a tall, tan figure emerge from the football guys. Calum was trying out. I shook my head. "Megan you can admire him later but now you got to focus" I told myself. Turns out later was sooner than I thought. All thourgh tryouts I kept glancing over at him and one time I cought him looking so intensely at me. Our gaze met and then there was nothing around me. Just him. I felt light and floaty. And totally smitten. He was the one to breack away first and I waited for coach to say something that would distract me. Turns out she distracted me more than I thought she would. "and the last person to make the team is.... Sophie!" I looked away so no one could see my face. I hadn't made the team. Coach dissmeseed us and I truged back to car, sweaty from running so much. I heard footsteps behind me and saw Calum walk out twords the pickup truck next to mine. "hey Megan!" he called out. I so wasn't in the mood to talk but when I was around him some how his presence made me feel better. I pulled out a small smile as he approached. "I heard you didn't make the team. I know how that feels. I didn't make the team etheir. Turns out I have distraction problems." when he said this he put air quotes around them. I giggled and he smiled. "oh yeah," I said," forgot to ask you this but why did you keep staring at me all thourgh tryouts? And the one time?...." he knew which time I was talking about. A look passed over his face and he said to me, " get in the car Megan I have to tell you something." I looked t him worriedly. "you aren't going to hurt me right?" I asked suspicisly. "no." was his short reply. I opened the door to the passenger side and got in. Calum looked at me, took a deep breath and said, "Megan, do you believe in werewolfs?"
