Daddy was a mean old Mister, Momma was an Angle in the Ground
There were things that Shinji Hirako were such as comical, having a flippant attitude, and rather childish when it comes to certain events. He is however, not stupid when it comes to seeing the truth behind such things, like the one thing before him. He watched from the neighboring rooftop as the same [h/c] girl stood in the middle of a graveyard. She was showing a side that he hadn’t ever seen of her before, least not when she was around her friends.
He saw the pain in her face as she sat in front of the stone that stood from the ground. She lingered there for the longest time before finally standing and turning to allow him to see the rather large black and blue bruise that stood out on her cheek. His eyes narrowed, wondering where she had gotten such an ugly looking mark on her small and beautiful face. As she slowly made her way from the grave he flash stepped down in front of the stone when she was far away enough from it.
Glancing over, he took note of the name that was scribbled on the stone. He wondered who the woman was that was buried here, but then his question seemed to be answered when his eyes landed on the small picture frame that rested at the foot of the tomb.
“This woman was her mother?” he thought, looking at the picture for a moment longer. In the image was a much younger looking girl, who looked much like the same now older girl who was kneeling before this grave. She was smiling as she was being held by the much older looking woman, who held the same resemblance as the child. Shinji closed his eyes, he started to piece together the puzzle in his mind one by one, bit by bit, until he finally came to a solution that linked two and two together.
But, how could such a wonderful young woman just like her, put up with such a hardship like this, and still live with a smile on her face?
