Wibbly-Wobbly, Timey-Wimey (First Doctor, Chapter Three)Yay for creativity/rewatching all of the episodes of the First Doctor! (a.k.a. yay for winter break!) I really hope at least one person enjoys this... as always, I don't own Doctor Who, my character is of my own creation, and if you have any suggestions, feel free to message! This one is kind of short, but ever since my little "too long" mishap (which has NEVER happened to me before) I'm just trying to make sure I don't get stuck in that sort of predicament. Plus it's sort of a mini cliffhanger...
I made my way cautiously through the city, which appeared to be just as empty as the forest.
Well, the forest apparently wasn't as empty as it appeared, as I had found Alydon. He also mentioned his 'people,' the Thals. Enemies of the Daleks who were supposed to be inhabiting the city, which posed a nagging question:
Just where were these so-called 'evil' Daleks Alydon had spoken of?
I began doubting him, and wondered if this was a trap I was stupidly walking right into.
That was probably it.
Even the very name 'Dalek' sounded ridiculous; he probably made it up, just like the people I was supposed to be saving. I considered turning back and trying to find a way home (if I ever remembered where 'home' was), but I didn't.
Say that Alydon wasn't lying.
Then there was a group of people who were possibly being held captive by evil beings. I couldn't just walk away with that knowledge. Brotherhood of man sort of thing. I had to save them.
I had to.
So, I continued on until I found a door. After taking a moment to figure out how to open it, I hesitantly walked inside, fearing the worst.
On the other side of the door was just an eerie, empty corridor.
Well, no Daleks here.
Heck, I didn't even know what a Dalek looked like. If it looked like a normal person, I might mistake it for a member of the group I was supposed to be rescuing.
I pushed all thoughts out of my mind, and continued on my way down countless hallways, each as empty as the last. I thought about where more doors were likely to be, and whether I should turn back.
"Stay where you are," a menacing, vaguely electronic-sounding voice suddenly stated. I instantly stopped, and slowly turned around, only to come face-to-face with what was unmistakingly a Dalek.
