So here is one of my new stories. I've been planning this one for a while now, and the original idea was to wait till I finished my other one but I'm impatient. Hope you all enjoy. Please rate/message.
Yay!
"Oh, crap! I'm so sorry." Jumping up she grabbed her bags and headed for the exit. Stepping off the platform, she felt like a complete idiot. "Well so much for enjoying the train ride." Sighing she looked around. Everything seemed to calm and still. She knew though it was only because it was so late at night. She figured as soon as the sun rose things would be a nightmare. "Whatever, I should find a cab or something." Fixing her grip on her bags, she starting walking down the platform towards the front of the train station. She could hear some voices coming from the direction she was headed. Ignoring it, she continued heading for the door. Sage turned to see a tall, dark haired man running his fingers through his hair in frustration. Perhaps I should help him? No, no mind your own business. Turning to leave once again the man spotted her and grinned. The French woman looked at her then at the dark-haired man and nodded in understanding. "Je vois, de sorte que ce qu'il babillait sur environ. Il y avait un sac encore ici. Je le rechercherai pour vous." Nodding, the French woman left. "What she say? What d'you say?" The man said worriedly. "I told her what you told me, and she's going to get your bag for you." The man's eyes brightened as he grinned. "Thank you, thank you!" He said happily hugging her once again. The French woman came back with a medium sized black bag. The man let Sage go and ran to the French woman thanking her as he took his bag. Sage figured she was done so turned and left. Staring at the empty street, she sighed figuring she'd have to walk a bit before shed find a cab. Heading down the road, she thought back to the man. He had the bluest eyes she had ever seen. Shaking her head, she scolded herself for thinking about some stranger she just met. After all, she had promised herself, she was done with it all. He was sort of strange though. She thought to herself remembering how he had hugged her without even knowing her. Shaking her head again, she stopped when she thought she heard someone running. Beginning to panic she quickened her pace. "But you already thanked me." "Yeah well, but I didn't get to properly thank you. You have no idea how much you helped me back there. Really, I'm grateful." He said standing up as he looked down at her. "Alright then, you're welcome." Sage said quickly and turned to walk away again. Standing there dumbfounded, he realized he was being left behind and ran after her. "Hey wait up!" Sage looked over at him. "Is there something else you need?" He shook his head. "Uh, no not really" "Well then there's no reason for me to stay." "True, but I figure you're walking into town, and I'm walking into town, we might as well stick together. Safety in numbers you know." He said grinning. Sage just stared at him before turning and continuing to walk. "I'll take that as a yes?" She said nothing but kept walking. Shrugging he walked with her whether she wanted him to or not. As they walked, he snuck glances at her. She was about average height, and she dressed nice. A pair of faded jeans, black converse, and a tee that had something written on it, but he couldnt tell what. Her hair blew slightly in the wind, and he swore he could smell lavender. "So...what's your name?" He said trying to break the silence. ,"I'd rather not say." "Why not? I'm not some rapist or a stalker or something." "I still don't know who you are." "Sure you do. I'm the guy whose day you just made." She looked up at him but then looked away. "Fine then, I'll just tell you mine first. The name's Mike. So now will you tell me your name?" He asked hopefully. Sage looked over at him and sighed. "Sage, my name's Sage." "Sage huh. That's a nice name. I don't think I've ever met a Sage before. What's your last name?" She gave him a disbelieving look. "What? I'll tell you mine, it's not like I'm not giving you my information either." "You could be lying though." "So could you." "But I'm not." "Neither am I." She looked over at him again as he smirked at her. He had won that battle and he knew it. "Fine then you tell me your's first." "Alright, fair enough. Mine's Dirnt. Well actually it's Pritchard but yeah I go by Dirnt." She nodded. "Ok, that's sort of strange. Well mine' Wood." Mike looked over at her as if she was joking. "Wait so you mean to tell me your name is Sage Wood?" She nodded realizing what he was getting up. "nteresting." "My parents really like plants." Mike nodded in understanding. "I can see that. It's still a nice name. So how old are you?" "23." "That was easy." "What?" "You just answered." "Oh, well you would have kept asking me till I told you." "Good point. You catch on fast." "So how about you?" "26." They kept walking in silence, listening to their footsteps. Mike was about to ask her something else when they entered town. " Oh were here." Looking up he was disappointed. "Well it was nice meeting you Mike." "Huh, uh yeah. You too." She nodded and walked away. It finally hitting him, that she was leaving, he was going to call out to her, but she was already gone and he had no idea where she had disappeared too. "Smart man, smart." He muttered to himself as he sighed and headed for a nearby hotel.
The trees zoomed past the window as the wheels rattled slightly. The sky was clear and the sun shined brightly. A few people spoke happily to each other as they enjoyed the ride. Sighing, a girl with medium length dark brown hair glanced out the window again. She had hoped the train ride would cheer her up some, but it just reminded her of how lonely she was. Lonely and miserable. "I guess this wasn't such a great idea after all." She mumbled to herself as she let her head droop onto the cold glass window. Staring outside, she just hoped time would pass quickly so she could just get this whole trip over with. Closing her eyes, she slowly drifted off to sleep, her mind spinning with thoughts of home.
"Miss, miss, you need to get off now." Sage slowly opened her eyes to see one of the train's attendants peering down at her. Sitting up, she looked around slowly as the woman's words sunk in.
"What? I have no idea what you just said. I just need to find my bag. They told me to go to the front desk. So I'm at the front desk."
"Je suis monsieur dsol,Je ne sais pas de ce que vous parlez."
"This is hopeless. I don't know what you're saying, you probably have no idea in hell what I'm saying."
"Hey you, uh girly? Uh Bonjour or what not." Sage cursed herself for stalling. She turned only to jump back a bit as a pair of blue eyes gazed down at her. "Please say you speak English?" He said sounding desperate. Feeling bad for him, she nodded. "Oh thank god!" He exclaimed hugging her tightly. Tensing up, Sage's eyes grew wide as he let go of her. "Oh sorry about that, I'm just...whatever. I'm just glad you speak English." Sage just stared at him oddly. "Oh sorry, I'm scaring you aren't I?" She nodded and he laughed. "Foreign countries do that to me, but whatever I was wondering if you could help me? You see my bag was misplaced and I was told to go the front desk but no one there speaks English, well at least no one there now and I really need that bag, so yeah." He paused as he heard heels clicking behind him. Looking back, he noticed the girl he was speaking to earlier closing up. Panicking he ran to her. "No, no, no! You can't lock up yet. I need my stuff!" Sage closed her eyes hating herself for doing what she was going to do. Running after him, she called out to the woman.
"Excusez-moi, Mlle. Si vous pourriez vous tenir sur un peu. Ce monsieur ici a perdu son sac. Il a t dit pour venir ici afin de le rechercher."
"Hey, you wait up! Uh yeah you girl trying to run away there. Hold up!" Sage thought she recognized the voice and turned to see the man she had just been thinking about running behind her. Catching up to her, he leaned forward panting. She watched him, warily. "You, sure move fast." He said catching his breath. "You left before I could thank you."
