Shinku Namida (Crimson Tear) An Itachi Love Story Chapter Twenty-Seven

You walked forward, a lump caught in your throat. You heard your heels click against the marble flooring. You noticed the same sound behind you, getting farther and farther away. That's it. Itachi's gone.
"Sir?" you called out quietly, searching the room with your eyes.
"Gomen, Naomi-san," you heard a deep voice from behind you, "I sent for you, yet I haven't met with you."
"That's alright," you gave a nervous smile, " I'm sure you had plenty of things to do. Itachi-kun has been taking good care of me anyway," you trailed off in the end.
The leader gave a low chuckle, "-kun? Itachi-kun?"
You felt the blood rush to your cheeks. You faintly wondered if the chuckle meant he was in a good mood.
"You're friendly with Itachi-kun, ne?" he asked, a slight teasing tone in his voice.
"I suppose so," you answered. You weren't sure if 'Leader' would be pleased is he knew exactly how friendly the two of you were.
"You aren't still bitter about us... Picking you up?" he asked this cautiously.
You felt a little bad that you weren't upset. You should be right? If they hadn't you'd be sitting at home, safe. You wondered if that would have been a good thing.
"I was at first. But I've never been very good at staying mad," you hoped that this was an acceptable answer.
He gave a low chuckle, " What a forgiving girl. That works well for us."
"May I ask why?" you remembered Itachi telling you to watch your words. Keeping that in mind you kept your words polite.

You walked down the halls. Truthfully, you were worried about Naomi. You hoped the Leader's mood was at least somewhat pleasurable. Naomi was a sensitive girl. She wouldn't be able to handle Leader in a bad mood.
You hated having to leave her, but you didn't want the leader to realize how attached she was to you. he'd use that to influence her and you didn't want that strain on your 'relationship' or whatever you could call it.
Leader definately wouldn't think twice about doing that. You hoped that Naomi wouldn't tell him about it. Not only would he use it against Naomi but he'd probably punish you.
You weren't sure whether Naomi's powers came from Heaven or from Earth. In the case that she was some sort of angel, leader definately wouldn't want you to 'spoil' her. (A/N: Yes. Itachi was planning on telling Deidara and the others, only because he trusts them enough not to tell 'Leader'.)

"Why do you think I had Itachi and Kisame bring you here?"
You looked down, " Because of my powers."
"Yes. The powers you were blessed with could prove very useful to us," he said this in a firm voice.
You weren't sure what to say. You knew that the Akatsuki wanted to use you for your powers, but you had become somewhat attached to them. Itachi, Deidara, Kisame and Sasori.
"Naomi-san. I want you to consider joining us. The Akatsuki. Think it over, ne?"
You nodded your head slowly. You were almost dazed. You weren't sure what to tell him. Could you join the people that kidnapped you? What would your mother think?
'Mother. Forgive me for this,' was all you could think.
"I'll do it," you muttered, looking down at the floor.
The Leader chuckled, " That took long."
You gave a slight blush. Your mother always spoke of love. Now you were in it, and deep. She'd just have to understand. Maybe you'd be able to visit her.
"What would I have to do?" you asked, your voice getting to a murmured speaking tone.
"First of all, you'd have to swear allegance to me. You'd have to go on missions, which you could choose to reject. You see, I don't want you to feel trapped."
You nodded your head, " Alright. I'll join."
A smug smile crossed his lips, " Okay, Naomi-san. It looks like the Akatsuki has a new member."
