~| Philosopher's Secret |~ [Book One] ||Chapter One||

It was nearly midnight as Saya was walking down the dark street of Central, alone. She was walking by the place where her friend spent her last few moments. The shadows where telling her the story....
Kitty was getting tired of all the fighting going on inside the house that the military had giving Edward and Bree so that they may house themselves and their friends. She was annoyed and needed a little fresh air. Well she wasn't really getting any because it was raining but she didn't mind.
As Kitty walked past Central Park, she noticed four people who seemed to be holding a meeting. She went to hide behind a tree so that she can over hear their conversation. After all, who would hold a meeting in the park, at nightfall, in the pouring rain?
She listened closly and heard a few things that shocked her.
"So Sloth, when do you think you'll get out and do some work for a change to get rid of the Elric brothers?" Kitty heard a vioce say. It sounded familier. To familier. Kitty took a closer look at the people in the conversation and noticed three of them as Sins. Lust, Gluttany, and the person who spoke, Envy. She recognised the fourth person as the Fuhrer's secratary, Juliet Douglas. Kitty asked herself why in the world would Ms. Douglas be talking to these three? Then, Kitty thought about what Envy called her.
Sloth. That could only mean one thing! Ms. Douglas looked like Ed and Al's mother,she sounded like Trisha, and a humunculus is borne from a failed human transmutation! So that means... {DA: SHE'S AN ALIEN! You: -_-' DA: It's from that one episode! Remember when Sheska claimed Sloth to be an alien? You: Yeeesss.... DA: Okay, I'll shut up now.} that Juliet Douglas was a humunculus! Not a coinsciendece that she looked like Trisha Elric, but that she is Trisha Elric!
Kitty then snapped back to reality and listened closly to their conversation.
"Don't worry about it Envy. Anyway, we can't kill the Elric's, we still need them. Remember? The Philosopher's Stone?" Sloth said nonchalantly. "Also, we cant kill that one girl either. What was her name again?" she asked herself, then aswered herself, "Oh, yes! Saya."
"You really are slipping Sloth." said Lust. "Are you sure we cant kill her?"
"No, we can't. She's the Key to the Stone. She's the sister to the Sky. It was written in that book. And is also written on many transmutation circles." Sloth explained.
Kitty thouht about what Sloth ment but she was really confused. 'Sister to the Sky'? What was that supposed to mean? What did Saya have to do with the Philosopher's Stone?
"I'm hungery." said Gluttany right out of the blue.
"Well, I think you might have your fill if you eat that girl behind the tree." said Envy. That's when Kitty relised that she had been found out and started to run.
She ran about three blocks as Envy followed her. Once she reached the stop sign, Envy cought up to her. He slashed her across the back with his makeshift arm/dagger and Kitty fell to the ground. She rolled away from Envy and got up and started running again. She was making blockades with her Alchemic bracelet that she made to do any alchemys he wants. It wasn't slowing envy down one bit. Kitty decided she had to loose him somehow. The bleeding was getting faster and her running and the rain weren't helping. Kitty ran down an allyway that wasn't far from the house. In fact, it was a short cut to the crash pad (house). Kitty wanted to go on but she couldn't. Her body wouldn't let her! She felt herself drop. As she fell to the ground, she felt someone catch her. She looked up to find Edward's caring face. Kitty smiled.
"Thank you Edward." she said softly.
"Kitty Cat, why are you bleeding?" Ed asked using Kitty's childhood nickname.
"It was Envy. he's chasing me. Ed, we have to get out of here! We have to go get help! We have to--" Kitty couldn't complete her sentance. She felt a sharp pain going through her back. She looked up to find Edward smiling gleefully.
With Kitty's last few moments of life, she dropped to the ground and saw Edward's automail arm turned into a dagger.
"H-how could you E-Edward...?" Kitty asked with her last breath.
Saya felt tears fall from her eyes as the shadows finished their story. Her friend had been tricked into thinking that Edward had killed her.
"What are you doing out here Saya?" Saya heard her friend Bree say.
"Oh, I was just- listening to the shadow's story." Saya explained as the shadows danced aound the area.
Bree put her hands on her hips. "Again?"
Saya nodded and Bree placed her hand on Saya's shoulder.
"We tried to bring her back, but nothing we do would work. You of all people should know that!" Bree said gentely.
"Yes, and I saw the Gate a second time as well as Edward. You saw it for your first time and we lost nothing. The Gate must really be annoyed with us." Saya said.
Bree chuckled. "C'mon, let's go home. Al's making a delicous supper!"
Now, it was Saya's turn to chuckle. "Why does Al insist on making food when he can't eat it?" Saya asked herself as the girls started walking back.
"I dunno, but his cooking is fabulous!"
As the girls turned the corner, Saya stopped laughing. She looked at the rooftop a a particular building and noticed a figure on it.
Bree stopped laughing when she noticed Saya stopped. "What's the matter?" Bree asked.
Saya thought for a moment then answered, "It's that person, up there." Saya indicatioed the rooftop using her eyes, not her hand.
"So, what about it? Someone just has nothing to do in their spare time but look at the stars. It's no big deal." Bree explained.
Saya ignored what Bree had said. She knew that that wasn't any ordinary person. Saya ran toward the building, clapping her hands together.
Fight scene!
Saya made it to the building and slammed her hands into the wall. As she did, giant steps formed and she jumped up to each one.
"What the hell do you think you're doing Saya!?" Bree screamed from below. "Do you wanna wake up everyone in the city?!"
All Saya had to shout back was, "Be prepared Bree! The enemy is here!"
Saya made it to the top of the building without effort. she looked for the person and saw her jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Saya followed. Saya tried her best to get a good look at the person. She made mental notes of what she looked like.
Long hair, female, young looking (like around Saya's age), and that she was wairing a black dress. Saya couldn't get a good look at the girl's face.
"Hey! Wait up! I just want to talk!" Saya yelled to the girl.
As Saya was trying to get the girl, Bree just sighed. "Another one of Saya's geusses that will evenually be right. Heck, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that Saya was psychic." Bree took a deep breath and let it out. "Alright enemy, show your face." Bree said quietly to herself.
"Okay, then. I will." said a voice behind her. Bree turned around to see her boss. Actually, the boss of the military! Bree knew that he was a fake. The man wasn't human. Fuhrer Bradley was the humunculus, Pride.
Bree saluted even though she knew who he was.
"At ease." he told her. Bree let her hand drop.
"Excuse me sir, but may I ask what you are doing here?" Bree asked professionally.
"Well, I'm the enemy, aren't I?" he asked her.
Bree's eyes widened as she realised that he knew that she knew that he was a humunculus! {DA: wow that's confusing! You: sure is... but you're the one who made it! DA: Kinda got a point there...}
Bree readied herself for the fight. She got into her fighting stance as Pride attacked. He was incredibly fast! Pride appeared above her in the blink of an eye, sword drawn, diving toward Bree. She managed to dodge it and roll out of the way.
Hoho! Cliff hanger! {Bree: hahah you will have to suffer..wait till you see what i am put through..and you thought this cliffhanger was bad. THINK AGAIN!!!}
