My Battle's with Miss. Popularity and Mr. England Part 47 The Final Chapter of my Life

hi all. i am so sorry this took me so long to come out w/. a lot of stuff has been going on here lately. school, work, family visits, my birthday was thursday of last week, and my highspeed internet box was blown b/c of a storm we had, and then my dog got sick and i was all stressed over that. so its late now but i finally got some time off and i finished the story! yay! so here it is the final chapter!
on to the story!
You were kicking a can around as you walked in thought about everything that had happened. It had been a week since that day where you told Rupert and Travis that you didnt want to see them anymore. You had gone back to the hotel only to get your things and Will and then took a bus to York. You figured you should get to know York anyways if you were going to be living there. You missed both guys and that annoyed the hell out of you. You wanted to have Rupert around your shoulders and at the same time strangle him, and you wanted to go cause trouble with Travis and at the same time you wanted to hang him on a pole like a flag. You had spoken with Kay and Katy on the phone about what was going on, they both understood how stupid the two guys had been but said you should just get use to it and forgive the guys, men will be men.

You stopped in your tracks when you passed a trash bin and picked up the can you had been kicking and through it away with a sigh. You started to walk again. The day was growing dark and after some time you decided to head back to your room. As the sun went down and the moon came up you started to hear an echo. It sounded like there was someone walking behind you. You turned around but saw nobody so you went back to walking. Some time passed and the sound started up again and this time you thought you heard a whisper, so again you turned around real fast and saw no one. So you kept on walking only quickening your pace. You looked down and saw not only your shadow but what looked like shadows behind you. Again you turned around to see no one behind you.

"I know your there! I'm not afraid of you.." You looked around but saw no one nor heard anything. You were all alone, cars weren't even out. Your mind started going through all the worst case scenarios. What if it was a burglar? A pick pocket? A rapist? Lord Voldamort? The Grim? A reaper? A vampire? A witch? Aunt Martha? George W. Bush? That last one really scared you. "Who's there? Who is it? You better be careful, I have pepper spray, a string of garlic, a voting ballot for a democrat in office and a vote to impeach..I know Expecto Patronum!" You heard a chuckle. A familiar chuckle. "Travis?"

Travis popped out from behind a light pole, you wondered how you missed him hiding behind a pole. "Hailey, you are the weirdest person I have ever met. You do realize that Harry Potter is only a story right?"

You waved a hand, "Pshya duh, of course I knew that." You looked away from him as you said it. "Anyways the point is, what do you want?" You crossed your arms and glared at him.

"Well me and Rup.." Travis stopped and looked to his side and realized he was all alone. "Where the bloody hell did he go?" Travis rolled his eyes and pulled out Rupert from behind some bushes. "As I was saying, me and Rupert have been doing a lot of talking and decided that..well he isn't such a bad bloke and I think he goes good with you, and we have become good mates now and well.."

"We want you back, Hailey." Rupert finished.

You looked at them both going back and forth inspecting them. You kept a hard glare on them. "And why should I take you both back? How can I know that the two of you wont go at it again? And its not just with the two of you, will there be any more jealousy flying about with other guys?"

"Well I should say so if you plan of shagging up with every blo-" Travis started but Rupert smacked him over the head. You held back a laugh, this was serious Hailey, grrr.

"What Travis meant to say was, we promise no more fighting with each other or other men. I trust you Hailey, I know you wouldnt be the type to snog every man in sight."

"And I trust that just because you have a boyfriend of er.."Travis looked Rupert up and down, "Well what I mean to say is that I trust your taste in men and I trust that we can still be friends and have fun and not have to worry about your bloke to be keeping you from having any real fun."

You smiled. "Good, now hug and make up."

"Wha?" Travis asked looking terrified.

"Go on, hug."

Travis and Rupert looked at each other and gave each other a quick but very tensed hug with a pat on the back. Before they had a chance to split up you jumped on them both hugging them both with a squeal. "Oh, I am so glad to have you both back again! I missed you guys so much!"

The three of you separated and you beamed at them both. The Rupert coughed and gave Travis a look. Travis looked at Rupert funny. "Hey mate if your getting sick get the bloody hell away from me!" Rupert rolled his eyes and coughed again more irritated and motioned with his eyes at you. Travis gave Rupert a funny look and then his eyes went wide with understanding, "Oooh, heh heh, sorry mate. You want shag privacy." Rupert smacked his forehead, you laughed, so much for being discreet. "Well, I know of a nice little inn just round the corner where you.."

"You idiot! Just give us some privacy would you!" Rupert said suddenly. "God, now I know why Hailey likes you so much, you like her twin brother or something."

"Oh right sorry again mate." Travis faked a yawn and stretched. "Boy it sure is late and I sure am tired. I think I will retire for the day. I'll see you two love birds in the morning eh?" Travis winked and nudged Rupert on the shoulder with his elbow. Rupert had his thumb and index finger grabbing the bridge of his nose looking like he was about to get a migraine. Travis finally left making his best attempt at what sounded like a porn theme song. You of course were now laughing hysterically, Rupert meanwhile picked up a rock from the ground and made to throw it at Travis but then just threw it aside instead.

"Never mind me Hays, I think Travis is your soul mate." Rupert said. You laughed.

"Nah, I have a thing for guys with poles up their arse's." Rupert smiled at the comment.

"Yeah and I have a thing for garbage disposals. I guess its true what they say, opposites attract."

"Yeah bummer eh?"

Rupert looked at you for a while and then took a step closer to you and put an arm around you and the two of you started to walk to where you were staying. The two of you were quiet for a long time not knowing what to say or do next. Then finally Rupert stopped and pulled you close to him and kissed you. Ok so the kiss which started out tensed and short ended out to be a pretty long more relaxed make out section where neither one of you wanted to let go of the other. It was like, you waited for so long it finally kiss and hold on to one another that once you did, you were afraid to let go. Finally the two of you were out of breath and pulled apart. You looked up at Rupert with a big smile on your lips and your eyes glowing up into his. Then the two of you continued on walking to your place, Rupert with his arm around you and you resting your head on him.

"I wonder how long it will last?" You asked.

"What?"

"You and I, I wonder how long we will last. I mean we are so different and all."

"I don't know. I guess nobody ever really knows at first. Even if the two people have a lot in common, nobody every really knows. Just depends on whether or not its meant to be."

"I wonder if you and I are meant to be?"

"I don't know Hailey. Its like they always say: only time will tell."

THE END!!!! on to the epilog!
"Hailey!" You heard your name being yelled before you even walked all the way through the door. You looked up to see who had called your name but before you got a good look at the person you were on the floor. "Hailey! Long time no see!"

You got up and looked at the person that had knocked you to the floor. It was Kay. "Kay, I saw you a couple of weeks ago at the Chanukah party and then again at the Christmas party. Then again you had been a little drunk on egg nog at Christmas time."

"Hailey!" More voices cried out. You looked up, it was all of the Nerd Avengers reunited again. All of them looked older of course, it had been years since you all graduated. And now here you all were at the first High school reunion of 2006. You hugged all of your old friends. All of you had kept in touch over the years of course. You had even gone to Fred and Katy's wedding and you were there when Katy gave birth to her baby girl. You were even the girls God Mother.
Rupert finally came in behind you pushing a baby carriage. "Can you believe I couldnt find a sitter to take care of Matt?"

You put your arm around Rupert and gave him a kiss on his cheek. "Didn't you ask Travis to? Wasnt the whole point of having Travis come back to America with us was to have him baby sit while we came here?" You asked.

"Yes but Travis said he had better things to do today." Rupert said.

"Like what?"

"Oh God," Kay said worried. "I hope he doesnt pull a stunt like he did at my wedding." Kay had gotten married not long ago to some famous guitarist, the two of them went on tour together when they had the chance. At their wedding Travis decided that his wedding gift would be a romantic song sang of course by himself. It would have been romantic yes, if Travis could sing, and he hadn't been drunk, and the song he had picked out wasnt 'We are the Champions', and if he hadn't passed out after he finished the song and said "Thank you London", which indecently Kay didnt get married in London, she got married in Vermont which is were her husband was born. Still it could have been worse, in your wedding Travis forgot that there was going to be a wedding that day and walked into the backyard of Rupert's Aunt's castle in Scotland where the wedding was being held wearing nothing but his boxer shorts. Billy meanwhile, whom had become best of friends with Travis, decided the distraction was the perfect opportunity to take off Rupert's Uncle's fake hair off his head and put it on the head of a crying baby sitting in front of him. Speaking of..

"Where's Billy?" You asked noticing that he was nowhere in sight.

"Um, If Billy is missing, and you guys don't know where Travis went off to, then I get the feeling we are in for something not so good." Fred said looking around.

"He was here not that long ago." Hansel said. "But he left saying he had to pee."

"How long ago?" Katy asked getting worried.

Hansel checked his watch. "Oh not long ago, about and hour or so."

"Oho." Everyone said at the same time.

It was about that time that two guys went running around naked screaming "We will be heard!" And of course you knew right away who's asses those were you were seeing (having seen them before), Travis and Billy.

"Sigh, something's never change." Kay said.

You looked over and saw the former Miss Popularity being snobby with one of the volunteers. "Excuse me," you said and left. The group watched you. You picked up the punch bowl and poured it on Candy's head. "Oops, I'm sorry, it spilt." You said, everyone all around laughed.

"Yup, something's never change," Katy agreed.

ok thats it! im gonna miss u guys!

well hoped u enjoyed the story. its had its ups and downs, there was times i feared it would never end, its the longest story i ever typed. i had fun typing it though and hope ya'll liked reading it!
in case ur wondering i do have other ideas for stories, lots of them, but im trying to decide whether i want to commit to another story or just finsish the cousin story and end quizilla. dont know, so keep an eye out and see what happens.
