Hey all! Yes I'm here with a new story XD. Well actually I was asked by Peacebomb425 if I could revamp her story into a Green Day Fic sooooo I'm in the process of doing that. It's really a great story so I hope you all enjoy it. ^^

| Ana looked in the mirror that was perched on her bedroom door. It was an ordinary mirror, a slight crack seeping through the bottom left corner where she had accidentally thrown her shoe at, having been originally aiming for her bedroom door. To say the least, she had missed it by a long shot. Blinking back at her reflection she frowned to herself, "Another day lived, another day wasted." Sighing, she trudged towards the door and opened it revealing the slightly darkened hall. The lighting there was always poor but no one really cared much about it. Heading down the stairs she skipped every few steps to avoid the obnoxious creeks from the old boards. The apartment her parent's rented was far from being exotic. Perhaps far was too nicely put. Not even in a dream could it become anything more than a dump. She smirked to herself at the thought. Entering the living room she passed her dad, Ben who was sitting comfortably on the couch watching TV as usual, and went straight into the kitchen where her mom, Lydia, was. "Good morning, Ana." Her mom said happily as she spotted her daughter, flashing her a huge smile. Ana just looked at her mom, thinking to herself. Nice, Mom. Just last night you were yelling at me for breaking curfew. Forgive easily, huh? Ana didn't reply to her mom and who just ignored it and went along eating her breakfast. Normally Ana didn't eat breakfast at home. She would usually stop at the diner near her home and would get a cup of coffee before she went to school. Ana hated being in inside these walls, the walls of her supposed home. Home, she laughed at the thought. This was no more a home than a soggy cardboard box would be for a stray cat. She spent as much time as she could out with her outcast friend Hailey, which was more than enough for her. Ana loved being a reject, no one gave her trouble because no one really cared. It made life easier that way and that made her happy, or at least that's how she would put it. Walking out of the house heading towards the side of the street where her trashed, rusty red colored, Ford was parked. She got it for three hundred dollars from some kid in school. It wasn't the world's best running car but it got Ana and her friends around and frankly that's all that mattered. She got in the driver's seat of her car and started it up. The gas gauge said that the fuel was low so Ana pulled out off the curb and headed to the gas station reluctantly. Cash dished out for gas meant less in her pocket which equaled a skipped lunch. She pulled up to the only available pump ignoring the poorly dressed man who kept eyeing her from afar, and started pumping gas into her car. When the tank was half full, since a full tank wasn't in her range, she went inside the building to pay. While she waited in line, Ana looked out the window at the people outside. Two guys were laughing as a petite looking girl crossed her arms unhappily saying something to them obviously annoyed. As she tried to make out what they were saying she heard the bell on the door, signaling someone coming in. Turning to see who had come in she saw some kid step inside. Studying him a bit she figured he couldn't be any older than herself so he was probably another new student at her school. Ana watched him as he nonchalantly grabbed a pack of gum from the stand and discreetly placed it into his sweatshirt pocket. He then grabbed another pack and got into line behind her. Having seen enough turned her attention back to the people outside. The petite girl was now laughing with the two guys as they made their way inside a shiny, black jeep before speeding off noisily. It wasn't a big deal that some punk stole from the gas station. It was only a pack of gum after all, and besides she herself had done so many times before. After paying for her gas, Ana made her way out not noticing someone checking her out. Hoping inside her Ford she made her way to the diner for her usual cup of coffee to go. Inside Marie smiled at her as she always did. Ana always liked Marie for some reason. Though they never spoke much to each other they had a mutual understanding. Perhaps thats why she liked this diner so much. At least it was one comforting thing in her life. "See you tomorrow Hun." Ana raised her arm up in response before stepping out. As she got into her car, she saw the same kid from the store pull into the parking lot, driving a car much like hers except it was blue. As Ana started up the engine, the kid looked out of his car and saw Ana. He smiled at her and she drove away. |
