Love or Alchemy: Part 19 (A yugioh gx love story)

(back in the dorm)
"Wow. I never knew" Syrus said in shock. "Lyman wanted me to keep the past a secret" I responded. "Makes sense" Zane added, "Don't you see? He knew Clarity would've been worried about him. Banner wanted his identity to be covered." I looked down at Pharaoh, "He hadn't even told me about this whole Shadow rider deal." They looked at each other. "Let's leave her alone" Alexis said in a humble tone" The group left; all but Jaden. "Clarity, I'm sorry." I looked at him trying to seem strong,"it's ok. The fact I got to see him one last time.. well I don't know.." Jaden smile and left through the door. *Thank you Jay....* I thought.
(few days later)

I felt I needed to leave the island, to go back the life I lived.... Alone... I walked onto the pier when I felt a painful jolt through my chest. I saw a flash of light coming from the direction of the volcano. I began to run, full force, following the sound of Jaden's voice. Soon, I spotted the gang faced by a decrepit old man....... in a test tube?? "Thos keys were only mere pawns, like that idiot Banner. Leading him to believe that he could create the Philosopher's Stone with my funds. To save his life and the life of a little girl." Out of breathe, I pushed my way in front of the others, "How dare you say that about Lyman. He was caring and supportive of me and his students!" I tried hold back my tears. "Who are you to speak to me like that?" he snapped in a grainy voice. "Me.... the little girl. He tried to save my life... but only ended his own." The man's power of the shadow realm cause me to flinch as he grabbed me by the neck with his mechanical arm. He clutched me tight as I gasped for air. "You..? ...how pitiful." He dropped me to the cold hard ground. "Clarity!!!" Syrsu yelled as I tried to breath normally again. "Did I miss something? What's this about Banner trying to save Clarity.. What's all this Alchemy Philosopher's stone nonsense?" Crowler obliviously remarked. "Yeah! She's nothing worth saving" Chazz sneered, crossing his arms, smirking slightly. Syrus and Alexis glared at the two for their previous remarks. "Kogemaru! Banner was a great person!!...Clarity would know that first hand.. I challenge you to a duel! Yelled Jaden. "Fine" Kogemaru responded. I pulled myself to standing as Syrus tried to prop me up. His hands were clutched onto my arms trying to hold me up. I shook him off, running to the cliffside near the Slifer dorm. "Clarity!!!" Syrus yelled, fighting the urge to run after me. "Lyman. Why did you leave me? Why did you save me that day... some random little girl... Why am I so worth the effort? Lyman.. Why?!" I yelled into the distance. No response echoed back to me. Only the crashing of the waves broke the painful silence.
(Jaden's P.O.V.)
"Let's duel!!" Jaden yelled. Lyman's Emerald Tablet fell out of his bag. "Banner's tome" he said, picking it up. A Duel Monster's card, along with a letter slipped from the book to the chilled ground. His eyes widened as he starred into the front of the letter. His gaze switched to the card. Slipping the 'Sabatiel - The Philosopher's Stone' card into his deck and the letter into his pocket. "Let's go!!" Jaden yelled once more. The duel began. *I'm going to win... For Banner*
(After the duel)
"That's game, Kogemaru" Jaden announced in his usual fashion. The weakened old man laid, crouched over the ground. "Thanks Banner. If it wasn't for that card, I woulda lost for sure. Thanks a lot." Jaden said to himself. "Who are you talking to, Jay?" Syrus asked. Jaden, ignoring his friends, started for the dorm in a hurry. Alexis, Zane, Chum, Sy, Atticus and Chazz followed Jaden to the cliffside to see Clarity standing dangerously close to the edge. "Clarity! What's wrong?" Jaden asked. Her tears glistened in the sun light. "I don't deserve to live... Why did you want to save me? Lyman, you left me.. and now you're gone. I WANT TO DIE!!" Clarity screamed. The others were speechless, not sure what actions to take. "If you want to kill yourself over this, than go ahead" Zane started, "But Banner would've wanted you to live for him, for both of you." Clarity shook her head, covering her ears, trying to tell herself that none of this was true, "NO! He made me leave him. I begged for him to let me stay...I didn't care if I would've been killed..!!" Tears streamed down her cheeks. "Clarity" Jaden started, stepping toward her, "I found this in Banner's book... I think it's meant for you." He handed her the letter. She opened the letter with caution. The paper was old, covered in dust... beginning to yellow due to it's damage. She read it silently to herself....
Clarity,
It has been nearly a year we parted. My experiment is nearly complete, than perhaps I may free you from the shadows. My curse though, will linger. I am forever worried that you may have been affected by this disease. I am writing in hopes that you are happy and safe, with a new family and friends. Possibly we may meet again; soon I hope. The pain of not having you near is unbearable.

((A few days later)
A while has passed. I spent my days in Lyman's dorm, not setting foot outside. The others made attempts to get me to eat something. I hadn't really eaten since that day I heard Lyman's final words. I left a memorial of pictures of Lyman with Pharaoh and me, drawings and candles in the room of the abandoned dorm where his final duel took place.
Lyman's classes were left untaught. Dorothy cooked all the Slifer meals. I then got a call on my cell, breaking the peaceful silence. "Yes?" I said answering, "Chancellor Shepard... Yes, I'll come to your office... ok Bye." I stepped into the sunlight. I winced, for I haven't been out for quite a while. Walking into the Chancellor's office, I saw Crowler, Shapard and........................................................................................................

OMFG! that took longer than expected to write... i appologize soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much to my readers *Bow bow bow* anyway,...... i hope it pleased ... and guess what? next chapter is the last.... ^^ I want to get the final part up this week... so just wait til after thanksgiving.. plz message and rate.....
