I woke up to the familiar sound of my alarm clock screaming, "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP." I reach a groggy and lazy hand over to silence it and then look up at the time, 6:30 it read. I sit up in my bed, stretching and wiping my eyes of sleep and trying to remember my already forgotten dream. I give it up and walk up to the mirror to examine myself in it.

*I’m so gorgeous* I think to myself. Everyone knew it. It’s obvious. With my silky pink hair that reaches to about my knees, rich blue eyes, and plump, kissable lips, no man could resist me, they didn’t even try to. It was really kind of sad actually, how they would try to throw themselves at my feet. I constantly had guys calling me that I didn’t even know and ask if I would marry them. My mom and dad would get angry when this happened and I even had to change my phone number once it got so out-of-hand.

This is probably why I have only two friends. One is a guy named Dustin. He is the best friend I could ever hope for, because he’s the only guy that doesn’t try to marry me. He was a fellow slayer, and you constantly had missions with him. He’s really the only boy I can ever talk to with him looking at my face, and not my full and "healthy" breasts. He is always there for me, and I for him.

I have another friend too. Her name is Nicole. She, although not as gorgeous as I am, is still exceedingly pretty. She is my partner in crime and in justice. I could care less how many friends I have so long as I have them.

Anyways, I change into a sweat suit for my morning run, which I take every morning, and silently walk down the stairs, so as not to wake my parents. I hear a soft murmur coming from the kitchen and sneak to the door. One was voice unmistakably my mom’s, but the other one I was unfamiliar with. I pressed my ear to the door in hope of hearing some of the conversation.

"Sam," my mother said, "Relax and explain the situation to me calmly, while I wrap up your wounds." The next voice seemed panicked and rushed, and I took it to be Sam’s. Edging closer to the door, if that’s possible, I try to make out what he’s saying.

"W-well, my lady, t-there were about 30 of us. We went to the stake-out like we were instructed to, but when we entered the mansion, there was no one there. We looked all around but we couldn't find any trace of the damn leeches anywhere. We quickly realized it was a trap and all-of-a-sudden there was a hundred, at least, of them, all around us, taunting us in the darkness. Some of us tried to make a run for it but never made it. You could hear their screams echo into silence, never to be heard again." He paused for a moment, and I could hear him crying through the door. It takes a lot to make a slayer cry. I bite my toung to keep from yelling in rage.

"Then he came," Sam continued, "Scythe." Shivers run down my spine at the mere mention of his name, and I clench my fists so hard my nails cut into the skin, making them bleed a bit.

"He walked through the crowd to the front and just snickered at us, giving us the most menacing grin. The other vampires quickly got silent, and so did we. 'Well boys,' He said to us, 'so nice of you to drop by! And look! They even brought dinner!' That sent the lot of them laughing and eyeing us with bloodthirsty gazes. I came out in front and spoke to him. I said 'We have come due to actions immoral and unholy in the sanctum of men. You, Scythe, must pay for these actions with your life!' He just looked at me like I was a little child, laughed, and said 'oh really? Well, you're going to have to go through them first.'

And with that he vanished. Then the battle was on. We knew from the beginning we had no hope of winning, but we still put up a fight. I snuck through the battle, trying to find Scythe. I went through hundreds of corridors looking for him, for what seemed like hours, but to no avail. I made my way back to the battle to find it had finished. All my friends lay dead at my feet. On the wall was written in blood these words, 'We killed your ugly first born, now we will make your pretty second born queen.'"

I gasped in shock at the words the man just uttered. The first born could only mean my sister Ana, whom Scythe killed two years ago. So that would mean that I am the second born he was talking about! *They are going to try to make me QUEEN!?!?*
