"Yes. Mmhm. I'll have it in tomorrow. Thank you. Bye."
I hung up the phone the next morning as Justin took advantage of my shower. "You know I'm going to kidnap you, right?" Justins voice said from the stairs as he buttoned up the same shirt he was wearing yesterday. He looked so different when his hair was wet.
"It's not technically kidnap if you tell me beforehand," I informed him.
"Then I'm...taking you with me by previous announcement and calling it kidnap." Sadly, he was serious.
"Justin, why don't you understand? I can't just go with you on tour. I'm not a groupie, Im a journalist. I'll interview you though and I promise you can say anything you absurdly want okay?"
He blinked. "It's not the same."
"I know it's not."
Justin sighed. "Alright well I gotta go. At least I can say I tried. I'll call you later, gorgeous." He kissed me on the cheek and I smiled at him before he walked out the front door.
I made a cup of coffee and took the porcelain cup to my computer, where I sat in my pajamas. All I could do was think. I had weeks of vacation time left this year. I could definitely go with them if I really wanted to. But was it more important than having a vacation for family during the holidays? I took a sip of coffee.
Justin and I rarely get the chance to hang out. Hes always touring and Im always busy. I miss Matt. I miss Patrick. Strangely enough, I miss Nick. I miss everyone on the Warped Tour. I finished up my coffee and tried not to run to the phone.
"You again?"
"Justin I wanna come with you."
"Whoa! Hold on, I need to pull over." I was glad. Justin is not the best driver, especially on the phone. "Okay. So. What?"
"I changed my mind. I wanna come with you to Warped."
"We're leaving tonight," he told me, as if I didn't already know.
"I know. I can get packed quick."
"Are...are you sure?" he stuttered.
"What's wrong? You were begging me to come ten minutes ago."
"It's just...I never thought you'd actually oblige."
"So...you don't want me to come?" I frowned. I knew he could hear it.
"I do! Alright, start getting packed and I'll come get you."
I grinned and hung up. Oh I'd finally get to see everyone again. I called my office real fast to let them know. Luckily they didnt have a problem with it. Even if they had...screw them. I'd never felt more excited in my life. I ran upstairs and began to pack my entire wardrobe. It was about twenty minutes later when Justin arrived. His hair was dry now, still not washed though. "I'm going to get you to wash that hair of yours while we're on tour."
"This?" He touched his hair and I nodded. "No way, I'm trying to break a record."
I snorted. "I give up."
Justin helped me with the rest of my bags and we drove to the parking lot downtown where all the bands were meeting. It was exciting being with them all again. I almost screamed when I saw Matt. We were pretty much the best of friends. I jumped in his arms and grinned into his shoulder. "Ready for another tour with the Soundtrack?" he said excitedly.
"Hell yes. It feels amazing being back here." Things were being packed in buses and trailers everywhere around me. It was an incredible feeling. Looking around, I caught eye of Nick Wheeler and Tyson Ritter walking by. I watched Nick, wondering if he remembered me. He didn't notice me watching him at all. He was talking to several other guys, laughing happily. He was such a happy kid. The seven days we were together were glorious. I tore my vision off of Nick, not wanting to think about him anymore.
He's perfect...but not for me.
