(06) Arranged marriage...Griffyndor Princess and Slytherin Prince???
Y'all I am SOOOOOO sorry it's taken me so long to update, my computer kept closing out the internet before I could post this. Forgive me! *hides from flying objects*Sarah Beth woke up three hours later, still wrapped in Draco's arms. He was still asleep, his face buried in her neck. She wiggled gently from his embrace, smiling as he stirred slightly. Standing and stretching, she jumped on top of him again yelling his name. Draco sat up with a startled shout, trying to figure out who was attacking him. Seeing it was only Sarah Beth, he groaned and fell back on the couch, pulling a pillow over his face as he did. Sarah Beth stretched out on top of him and blew a loud raspberry on his neck. Draco rolled over, pinning her to the sofa below him. She twined her fingers in his silky blonde hair and tugged him down to kiss her. His tongue explored her mouth a bit before his lips went to her neck. Sarah Beth moaned softly as he hit her weak spot and felt him smile against her skin. She pushed him off and sat up, bringing her knees to her chest.
"We need to get ready."
Sarah Beth reminded him softly. Draco looked at her with desire in his eyes, clearly dissappointed she'd remembered their plans. She leaned over and kissed him before scampering quickly from the room. She took a three-minute shower and dried her hair. Straightening it in record time, she slipped on her low cut jeans and green spaghettit strap top with comfortable black shoes. Opening the door, she saw Draco leaning against the wall opposite her, waiting. Sarah Beth gave a fake wolf whistle.
"Hey sexy."
He did indeed look sexy, even more than normal. He was wearing her favorite look: blue jeans with a blue button down shirt and a white shirt underneath. Draco smiled rougishly.
"I know. You look ok too."
He laughingly dodged the punch Sarah Beth threw at him, grabbing her wrists and pulling her roughly to his chest. Lowering his head, he kissed her with a passion that left her breathless when he pulled away. Grinning at her expression, Draco took her hand and led her downstairs to where the fireplace was. Picking her up as he had done before, he stepped into the flames and shouted their destination.
"The Black Rose."
The steady thud of music was the first thing that greeted her as they arrived in the Black Rose. The second was a hand. She took it gratefully, allowing the young employee to help her over the wall of the fireplace. Draco stepped out behind Sarah Beth, shooting the guy a warning glance as he tried to strike up a conversation with Sarah Beth. Sarah Beth walked ahead of Draco to where his friends sat, having spotted Blaise easily. Blaise let out a whistle as she appeared.
"Wow Evans, you sure clean up nice. You here alone?"
"No, she's not."
A cold voice came from behind Sarah Beth. Draco settled his hands protectively on her arms, glaring at Blaise over her head. His eyes were wide with shock, making Sarah Beth laugh. Draco sat down, pulling Sarah Beth into his lap. He introduced the others, Connor Lee, Blake Whitley and Rachel Lamm. All Slytherins of course. She didn't know any of them, but they seemed nice enough. Except for Connor, who kept staring at her. Sarah Beth grew uncomfortable and settled back against Draco, who kept talking with Blake and Blaise. Rachel saw Sarah Beth's discomfort and grabbed Blaise.
"What's the point of coming to the club if we're just gonna sit here? Let's dance!"
Sarah Beth shot her a grateful glance and pulled Draco onto the dance floor. A slow song was starting, Please Remember Me by Tim McGraw. It was Sarah Beth's favorite slow song. Draco pulled her close to him and began to sing it softly to her. Sarah Beth smiled and held him tightly. Who knew Draco Malfoy could be so sweet?
When all our tears have reached the sea.
Part of you will live in me.
Way down deep inside my heart.
The days keep coming without fail.
A new wind is gonna find your sail.
That's where your journey starts.
You'll find better love,
Strong as it ever was,
Deep as the river runs,
Warm as the morning sun.
Please remember me.
Just like the waves down by the shore,
We're gonna keep on coming back for more.
Cause we don't ever wanna stop.
Out in this brave new world you seek
O'er the valleys and the peaks
And I can see you on the top.
You'll find better love,
Strong as it ever was,
Deep as the river runs,
Warm as the morning sun.
Please remember me.
Remember me when you're out walking
When snow falls high outside your door
Late at night when you're not sleeping
And moonlight falls across your floor.
I can't hurt you anymore.
You'll find better love,
Strong as it ever was,
Deep as the river runs,
Warm as the morning sun.
Please remember me.
Draco stopped singing in the middle of the bridge, tipping Sarah Beth's head up to look at him. He kissed her gently, letting the kiss linger a little before breaking it off. She lay her head on his chest and felt his arms tighten around her, keeping her close to him. The song ended all too soon, leaving them to dance as the faster songs came on. Draco turned out to be a very good dancer, something that appealed to Sarah Beth majorly. After a while, he took her off the dance floor.
"Want something to drink?"
He shouted above the noise. With no chance of being heard, she merely nodded. Kissing her again, he headed off to find some drinks. She sat down in her chair and waited, watching the others on the dance floor having a good time. The smell of alcohol hit her like a tidal wave and Connor appeared, leaning over her.
"Why do you waste your time with that prick when you can do so much better, pretty one?"
He sneered drunkenly, his blood-shot eyes boring into her green ones. Sarah Beth shrank farther back into her chair, trying not to show her fear.
"If you are what you call better, I'll stick with Draco thanks."
She said cooly. An expression of anger passed across Connor's face but he smoothly changed it to a seductive look. He leaned foward again, kissing her cheek.
"Let's go somewhere more private, shall we?"
Sarah Beth pushed him away and stood, trying to walk away to find Draco and his friends, but Connor grabbed her and pulled her roughly away. Pushing her against a dark wall, he pressed himself to her and began to kiss her roughly. Sarah Beth spat the nasty taste from her mouth as he moved his lips to her neck. His hand wandered down to her butt, grabbing it repeatedly. She balled her hand into a fist and punched him squarley in the nose. he let go of her with a pained shout. Taking the advantage, she tried to get away from him. His hand flew out of nowhere and collided with her cheek, making her see stars. Connor pushed Sarah Beth back against the wall and let his hand wander up her shirt. She screamed over and over, calling for Blaise, Draco, anyone. The music was so loud she doubted they could hear her. As Connor shoved his tongue into her mouth, she bit it as hard as she could. He yelled and drew his hand back to hit her again. She shrunk against the wall, waiting for it to come. But it never did.
Opening her eyes, she saw Blaise standing protectivly in front of her. She moved closer to him and he slipped an arm around her, his gaze set on something. Sarah Beth inched foward and saw Draco sitting on Connor's chest, punching him repeatedly. She hated violence, but seeing Connor pay for what he'd tried to do gave her a sense of satisfaction. Draco drew his fist back to hit him again, but thought better of it.
"Come near her again and you're dead Lee."
His voice was as menacing as Sarah Beth had ever heard it. Standing, he walked to where Sarah Beth stood and took her in his arms. She was shaking like a leaf, trying her hardest not to cry. But cry she did, Draco doing what he could to soothe her.
"Let's go home Sarah Beth."
Sarah Beth nodded gratefully before flinging her arms around Blaise in thanks for giving her comfort. He returned the hug hesitantly, as if he were afraid that Draco would beath the crap out of him next. Returning to DRaco's side, Sarah Beth let him lead her to the fireplace that would lead them home, trying her best to wipe her tears.
Sarah Beth was never so happy to see the inside of Malfoy Manor as she was tonight. Draco helped her trembling frame out of the fireplace and took her upstairs to the fun room where they'd slept earlier. GRabbing some blankets, he wrapped one around her shoulders and sat Sarah Beth on the couch. Shutting the door, he sat next to her and spread the rest of the blankets across their laps. They sat in silence for a few moments before Sarah Beth broke it.
"I didn't think you were going to come. I didn't think you could hear me."
Even her voice was trembling, but not as much as it was before. Draco pulled her close to him, the pain her words caused him went deeper than she could know. The thought of that animal hurting her because Draco couldn't hear her cries...he almost didn't hear her.
"He's never going to come close to you Sarah Beth. He doesn't deserve to be as near to you as I am. To touch you. Because he doesn't care for you the way I do."
Draco said softly, slipping the strap of her shirt down a little ways. He kissed the skin, continually lowering the strap and kissing the skin as it was revealed. Draco eventually ended up at her breasts and pulled her shirt of completely. Sarah Beth let him lower her gently to the couch as he continued to kiss her lovingly. She drew his lips up to hers, kissing her with a passion that pleaded to be released. His lips moved downwards again, down to her stomach. His fingers played with the zipper of her jeans as he nibbled her collar bone, smiling as she let a soft moan out. He slid her pants off and kissed his way down her thighs. Sarah Beth pushed him back and sat on his lap, kissing and biting his neck. His hand caressed her back, letting her have her fun. Sarah Beth suddenly pulled back, her green eyes wide. She stood up, pulling her shirt and jeans back on.
"Draco, we can't. not yet."
"What? So you'll sleep with Potter but not me?"
Draco said, hurt in his eyes. Sarah Beth was shocked at that statement, she didn't think he'd known about that.
"Draco, it's different with you. I want it to mean something. I don't want it to be empty and loveless. I want to be sure I love you before I do anything."
Sarah Beth said softly, pleading with him to understand. Draco sat silently for a moment, a look of deep thought on his face. He stood and put his arms around her. Pulling her close, he buried his face in her hair and breathed in the scent of the shampoo she'd used.
"If it's what you want."
Sarah Beth smiled and hugged him tightly, thankful he understood and respected her enough to let her have this her way.
"But just to let you know, you're spending the night in my room. I don't want to have nightmares about that idiot climbming into your room and taking you away from me."
Sarah Beth laughed and shoved him lightly.
"I can live with that."
