Sou Ru {Early To Detain} {First Night: Shakugan Meets Kuran}

Shana: Ha ha ha! Yes! I agree!
Shana stood with her friends in the hallway, holding her books and laughing with her friends. She was smiling widely, having fun...but then one of the teachers interrupted.
???: Excuse me.
Shana looked up at the teacher and smiled.
Shana: Hai, Kuran-sensei?
Kuran smiled lightly.
Kuran: May I see Shakugan Shana-san for a moment?
One of the girls squeaked and grabbed Shana's arm.
???: That's you, darling! Kaname-sensei wants to talk to you!! Now's your chance to land a boyfriend!! Make a move!
Shana smiled and nodded at Shana.
Shana: What did you want to talk about?
Kaname saw Shana's smile and he smiled back, aagin.
Kuran: Let's go.
Kaname led Shana into the Moon Dormitory and into the music room there. Shana looked around, found a black piano that shined with a mysterious rust...yet its luster was magnificent in Shana's eyes. She smiled and pointed to it.
Shana: A piano!
Kaname smiled.

Kuran: Yes. A piano. You may play it if you'd like.
Shana smiled again but as she went to touch the keys, a memory played in her head--the memory of the last person who played this piano...
{Flashback}
A young girl sat at the bench of the piano, crying. She was smiling as she played the piano.
???: Sensei...how much longer must I wait for you...? Kaname-sensei...
{End flashback}
She was silent. Her fiery red hair fell in her face and she closed her eyes.
Shana: Kuran-sensei.
Kuran: Yes?
Shana looked over at him and smiled again.
Shana: If you don't mind, please give me some time.
Kaname was silent and he nodded.
Kuran: Of course. But, what for?
Shana sits on the bench and begins playing a song. She closes her eyes.
Shana: This soul...this piano has a soul. She must get what she wants before I can fully play this piano without feeling guilt or regret.
Kuran: I see.
Kaname walks over to Shana and watched the girl's fingers ghost over the keys yet as lightly as she was playing, the keys pushed in and beautiful sound rang out.
Kuran: Beautiful.
Shana: Thank you. It's the song, Moonlight.
Shana smiles and Kaname smiles. Just then a young woman comes in and asks for Kaname. He nods and loooks back at Shana.
Kuran: Would you like to join the Night Class? I'd be honored to teach you everything I know.
Shana smiles and shakes her head.
Shana: No. I have Disciplinary work and even work outside! Speaking of which, I'd better get going! I work at Ai's Petal Shop! Please come by anytime!
Shana got up, bowed in appreciation, and left. Kaname watched her as her skirt bounced and her hair followed suit...
Kuran: Only her.
