I shall never grow up
Tory's boyfriend Brandon had just broken up with her.
She was devastated.
He said he needed a break.
He thought they were too serious.
Too serious for two sixteen-year olds.
Tory thought that she had loved him.
She just couldn't believe that he broke up with her.
Everyone at school thought they were the perfect couple.
Apparently everyone was wrong.
Tory decided that she needed to get out of her stuffy bedroom.
She went downstairs, to the kitchen.
"Tory, are you okay?" her mom asked.
Tory sat down at the table, beside her mom.
"I could be better."
"Well I have some good news."
"What's your good news?"
"You are going to spend the rest of the summer with your sister."
Tory despised her older sister Ashley.
"Where is Ashley living now?"
"She is living in Las Vegas."
"Is she a hooker now?"
"Tory, don't joke about that."
"Is she a stripper?"
"Tory, stop."
It would be cool if she was.
At least she wouldn't be so boring and perfect.
"I'll stop."
"Your plane leaves tonight. Here's your ticket."
Her mom handed her the ticket.
"Do I have to go?"
"Yes."
"But-"
"Tory, it will be better than just sitting here all summer."
"I didn't plan on sitting here the whole summer. I was going to stand every now and then."
"Stop being smart and go get your stuff packed."
"This sucks."
"I don't care if it sucks. Go."
Tory sighed and went up to her room.
She didn't want to go.
She didn't want to stay with Ashley.
Ashley was the perfect daughter, unlike Tory.
Ashley always bragged about how perfect she was.
Ashley was also the most boring person in the world.
She would never do anything exciting or fun.
Tory might end up killing her.
At least Tory wouldn't have to stay here all summer.
She knew that if she did, she would be depressed.
