My steps echoed around me as I glanced at the buildings I seemed to pass with each step. A somber quietness around as I adjusted the strap of my bag, pulling out my music once more. Placing the plugs in my ears, I smiled contently as I walked to the Academy. The sounds of Miss Murder by AFI filled my head while I walked. I was late again, but who cared? Being on time just wasn't my thing. I eventually made it up into the halls of the school, turning into the classroom with a simple twist.

Looking up I blinked, the fact that everyone was staring at me completely unknown. I guess I'm kinda oblivious like that. I casually strolled to my seat, Iruka scolding me in one ear. It was all truly falling right out the other. I turned around, plopping down in my seat next to Kiba, finally pulling the headphones from my ears. Iruka grew silent before speaking again in a quiet and defeated tone.

"You...weren't listening were...you?" His face sprawled in dispair as he sighed and grabbed a clipboard. He looked over the names as I blinked densly again. Leaning over towards Kiba, I jabbed him in the side with my finger, receiving a slight yelp in exchange.

"What's I miss?" I whispered quietly, trying to make sure Iruka didn't get even more mad at me. He stared a secpnd before scribbling the mornings notes down on a peice of paper. I squinted at the scrawly handwriting, receiving a playful shove in return. Chuckling silently, the paper made it's way into my pocket. We sat until finally Iruka began calling us off to do our Genin Tests. I smiled, anxious to get this over with. Not everyone was however, as proven by the boy sleeping on the desk infront of me. I frowned, inching my foot closer to kick his chair and wake him up. Just as it was about to touch, Iruka's voice rang out loud and clear.

"Nara Shikamaru. Your turn."

The boy rose his head slightly, groaning and going on about something being troublesome before getting up and dragging himself towards the door and into the next room. I glanced at Kiba, noticing he was covering his mouth like he did when he tried to keep from laughing at something.

"What's so funny?!"

"You failed. Heh, you couldn't even pu-- ah!" Just as he began to finish his insult, I had pulled his chair right out from under him. He slammed into the ground, everyone around us ignoring it due to the fact it happened everyday. Yes, me and Kiba were known for our crap. We were either pranking each other individually, or pranking others together. Giving him a quick punt, I picked him up and threw him back in his chair.

"Inuzuka Kiba. Your turn."

"Good luck mutt!" He stuck his tongue out as I gave him a peace sign. Within minutes of his departure I was bored I threw a few pieces of paper at Naruto, gaining them right back in a lazy game of catch. Finally, I was called in. As I entered the room, I stuck my gloved hands in my pockets and glanced semi-nervously around. It was so plain. What did they want me to --

"Just make three clones and you pass." Ah. That. Great. Sighing, I preformed the kata and closed my eyes. Within moments, two passable clones stood behind me. My eye twitched and I struggled to create another one. Luckily, it worked, and a third clone appeared from the mist.

"Heh heh heh, nice save Naikiki. Go ahead and pick your hitai-ate." I grinned, gladly dismissing the clones and scooping up a black clothed hitai-ate. Tieing it around my forhead, I waved as I left Mizuki and Iruka in the room. Strolling out of the Academy, I noticed Kiba, being congradulated by his parents, along with a lot of others. I noticed Naruto as well, alone and by himself. But no, I didn't go comfort him. I couldn't. If I comforted him, then that would give a reason for me to be talked about. And being an ANBU, to be talked about can lead to death.

I shoved my hands into my pockets, trudging past the others with my backpack swaying slightly. Because of my clumsiness, and the fact I was staring at the ground, the next thing I knew I was on the ground, having ran straight into something. A worried voice, much like my mother's washed over me, yet scolding someone at the same time... Much like my mother. I slowly opened my eyes, noticing the kid, Shikamaru I think, sprawled on the ground directly across from me. I must have ran into him. Jumping up, I helped him up and started quickly apologizing.

"I'm sorry! Gomen-nasaii! Gomen!"

"Shikamaru! Acknowledge this girl! You knocked her over!"

"...Gomen...So troublesome...Mendokuse..." His eye twitched slightly as his mother as I presumed, began blaming him for my fall. I tried to protest, but couldn't get a word in. Man...this lady was a lot like my mother. Sighing, I walked past, leaving a grumbling Shikamaru and running a hand through my midnight hair. I easily made it home without music, quietly making my way upstairs. Throwing my bag off, I grabbed a T-shirt and another pair of black baggy pajama bottoms and headed into the shower.

I plopped onto my bed, the comforter engulfing me and soothing my aches and pains. I had the night off, therefor I could actually sleep. A content sigh pursued through my lips as the onyx eyes I adorned slowly closed. Before I knew it, I was out, my father coming to check on me. He saw my sleeping figure, covered in blankets and pillows. With a flick of his wrist, he turned off the light, closing my shades and wrapping me up tighter in my blanket. He then closed the door softly, letting me dream in peace.

Sunlight licked the ends of my closed lids, causing my to squirm slightly. My mother hadn't come bursting in yet, so I must have been up earlier than usual. Rubbing my eyes, I slipped from bed and began my usual routine.

"Hurry up and eat breakfast, Naikiki!" My mother's voice floated up and I was instantly reminded of the Nara woman. Shuddering, I realized how bossy my mom was. Closing my eyes, I yawned as I made my way downstairs and sat at the table lazily. I was completely cleaned today though. Showered, dressed, hair up. The works. My plate was set infront of me and it received a twitch of the eye. Mackeral...disugsting... I looked up, an aura of You-don't-expect-me-to-eat-this-do-you? plastered on my face, yet quickly wiped away by my dad's. It was serious, and I knew mom must have made him eat it too.

I sighed and picked up my fork, eating as little as possible before rinsing the plate off and giving my usual goodbyes. Stepping outside, my usual outfit was on, but I had my black hoodie obscuring it from view. In my pocket sat the music I loved and secret box of pocky sticks I had swiped from the ANBU quarters last mission. Sticking a small chocolate piece in my mouth, I tranted off to the Academy, psyched that today I got my team. 'This is gonna kick arse...!'

I slowly arrived at the tall building, wearily glancing over the doors before rubbing my temples and going in. I followed a few other kids to the classroom, and sat down by Kiba as usual. He waved sleepily and I gave him a curt nod in response. Pulling my headphones from my ears, and deminishing the pocky, I replaced them into my duffle bag and stuck it beside me. Once I had sat back up, my eyes darted to the door to see two of the people I hated most.

"I was a centimeter infront of you, billboard-brow!"

"Yea whatever, Ino-pig! My toe totally made it in first!"

Rolling my eyes, I turned away from the two preps, Yamanaka Ino, and Haruno Sakura. I hated them like no tomorrow. Yamanaka was always primping her hair and beleiving she was the bossy beauty in charge of all. It was sick. And Haruno Sakura; she spent so much time drooling over Uchiha Sasuke, that Iruka had to invest in buckets. Besides her pink hair was worse than Yamanaka's blonde. As they continued to fight, I grew annoyed. I chanced it, and spoke just loud enough for them to hear.

"Wassup Uchiha?!" Sasuke turned his head in my direction, glaring as I returned it. I was about to make another statement before I had to jump into Kiba's lap due to the fangirls rushing by me to Sasuke. It was as well sickening, watching them drool over someone instead of paying attention to their studies. Rolling my eyes, I turned to remark upon this to Kiba before being bit by Akamaru. Turns out I sat on him. Letting out a semi-loud yelp, I jumped clear off him, smacking the table and wobbling off. My body smacked into something before hitting the ground with a thud. Next thing I knew, someone else had fallen ontop of me. Come to find I accidently knocked over their chairs...

"Oi, what the hell?" I was retracted from my dizzy stage as a familiar voice reached my ears. Opening my eyes, I glared at Kiba, the one who spoke, and tried to grab at him. Too bad the Nara was sprawled across my chest. I tried shoving him off, suceeding with a grumble and a sorry from his part. Giving him a nice smile I told him not to worry about it before violently growling and yanking myself up at Kiba. I jumped over the table, going to throw a punch before soemone grabbed my collar.

"Gomen Iruka-sensei." He sighed irritatably and dropped me in my seat, walking to the front of the class and pulling out yesterday's clipboard.

"Now...You are going to be split into teams..."
