I rose my head slightly, interested in the conversation for once. He began calling out the names and their team numbers, and I watched as everyone was slowly placed in teams. Ignoring Naruto, I smiled when my name was called.

"Team 8," he began. "Inuzuka Kiba, Hyuga Hinata, Aburame Shino, and Kousyabi Naikiki." Kiba and I both did a pump of our fists in the air, slamming our hands together in a high five as we were yelled at to sit down. We couldn't sit still the rest of the time, running out when Iruka said we could leave for lunch. My duffel bag was around my torso again as me and Kiba walked, Hinata and Shino approaching soon. I grinned, patting them each on the back.

"Heh, hows it feel to be on the best team ever?" Kiba gave a thumbs up as Shino grunted and Hinata gave a weak "G-good..." Shrugging, I sped up, turning a corner and slamming straight into someone. In a slightly dazed state, My head swirled until Ino's voice brought me back to reality. It had that effect, considering it was so damn squeaky.

"Watch where you're going, spaz." I stopped swirling, sitting up with a death glare. That idiotic chick dared to insult me. Why I was gonna rip her head o--

"You mind getting off of me?" I looked down noticing the Nara once more underneath me. I seemed to have a knack for running into him. With a brief nod, I got up and helped him, before retracting my fist and aiming to plummel it into the blonde prep's face. I would have too, if Kiba hadn't tackled me and held me down to the ground. Akamaru licked my face in attempts to calm me down as I glared at Ino. She simply turned her nose up at me.

"Kiba, keep your pet on it's leash." She wasn't referring to Akamaru. Oh no, she was insulting me again. I got an apologetic look from Chouji and Shikamaru, as Kiba got up and let me attack her. Once again however, I was stopped, this time by Sasuke. The Uchiha growled at me and held my fist tightly. We didn't get along, but that didn't mean he needed me to kill people. There was a reason he was like this. I was his responsibility. After all, Iruka made him like my probation officer after I sent some kid through the wall. His fault he cheated...

"You saved me Sasuke-kun! Oooohhh I knew you liked me!" He gave her a disgusted look, simply shoving my fist back into my chest and stalking off. Ino looked heartbroken and I simply stuck my tongue out at his retreating back.

"Damn emo bastard." A chuckle came from Kiba and I grinned, losing my bloodlust for now. Giving a wave to the boys, I smiled and flipped the finger at Ino who was beyond mad now. The boys laughed slightly, just to be shushed by Ino who snatched them and stalked off to the roof. Smacking Kiba on the back playfully, we hurried outside and met with Hinata and Shino under the Sakura blossom tree. Hinata waved and received one from me as Shino watched a butterfly. I sat down cross-legged, pulling my lunch out of my duffel bag. Looking at the mackeral in disgust, I sighed and ate my rice balls first.

"So what do you think our sensei will be like?" I asked with a mouth still semi-full of rice. Kiba shrugged and stated he figured they would be some old man. My food was swallowed and I chuckled. Hinata sat poking her fingers together, blushing at the road. With a quizzical look, I glanced over my shoulder, spotting Naruto joging down the road. He seemed to be heading after the pink prep, and I sighed. For one thing, being in a team with Hinata was a project. Setting my food down, I had her follow me, standing under a couple trees away. She looked frightened, yet relaxed a bit when I smiled and pointed towards Naruto.

"You like him, don't you Hinata-chan?" Her face flushed and she watched the ground, replying with a quiet, "Y-yes..." I grinned and hugged her, making her face burn more with embarrassment. Pullng back I winked and motioned my head towards where he had left.

"We'll get him to notice you. I promise." I think she wasn't sure, but she did reply to me with a sweet smile. Putting an arm around her in a sisterly manner, I walked her back to the boys, sitting back in my spot and Hinata hers. Kiba gave me a look, obviously wondering what we had been talking about. I returned it with one stating I would tell him later. With that, we went back to our meal, slowly veering into random conversations.

A yawn escaped my lips. We, being me, Kiba, Hinata, and Shino, now sat under the Sakura tree fully fed and happy. Our sensei was due any minute, and we were getting restless. Kiba continued preaching that he, being our sensei, was probably an old man with gray hair.

"And - and - and! He probably doesn't shower, right Akamaru?!" Akamaru however, remained silent. A shadow fell over us and we slightly stiffened. Such an angry aura surrounded us and the fear on our faces showed such. I was daring enough to slowly look up, instantly regretting it. Two flaming crimson eyes glared right at Kiba, Black locks curling around the woman's face. She was a very beautiful woman really. Not an ugly old man like Kiba suggested. She continued glaring, hair beginning to float on the breeze coming from no where.

"Old man, eh? No shower, eh? You little brat." I scooted behind Shino, who was even shaking slightly Hinata had gone completely pale, and Kiba was frozen in place. What a first impression... He shook his head quickly, jumping around and waving his hands in front of his face in an attempt to state his case. Realizing this wasn't good, I jumped forward and slammed a hand over his mouth, pulling him back and smiling weakly at the woman. She glared a moment before crossing her arms and leaning against the tree.

"Well, nice first impression," I sweatdropped since she seemed to take the words right out of my mouth. " But you guys already seem to be annoying. I'm Kurenai...Your sensei." She gave us a look, obviously wanting us to reply with our own.

"Aburame Shino."

"Hyuga H-Hinata."

"Mhhmmhhmhm"

"Kousyabi Naikiki, and this is Inuzuka Kiba, M'am." She smiled lightly I beleive, at me and I stared. It was as if...a sorrowful smile. But then again, with that hard gaze, I must have imagined it. Glancing at Kiba, I kept my hand over his mouth as he stopped squirming and lay motionless in my lap. Kurenai spoke a few words, stating training began tomorrow, and we would get our first mission soon. We gave a "Hai!" in unison and I removed my grip on Kiba. He sat up, staring at the woman before shuddering.

"Maaan.... She--" "Don't say it," I quickly cut him off. Pulling him to his feet, I nudged him off towards his house, walking with Hinata towards my own. We rarely spoke, only walked side by side, watching the ground. Kurenai had set us on edge. Sighing, I waved and walked up the path towards the Kousyabi house, actually going in this time.I waved to my grandmother, stopping a second and noding after she asked me to get her tea. Twisting around a corner, I placed my duffel bag by the wall and walked through the training room, waving to my dad and my little brother. They didn't acknowledge me, but I knew that was since they were sparring.

I headed into the main kitchen, smiling as I set the pot on the stove and sifted the tea leaves myself...
