Light flashed before your eyes, and then total darkness.
You stood, your legs shaking, and looked up. There was no way to see anything around you, you were in total darkness.
You blinked, and then it flashed away.
And you were back in your bed.
~
"Dad!?" You yelled, falling out of your bed. The castle seemed dark, and there seemed to be something wrong with it.
You looked around, your feet hitting the stone floor as you walked out into the hall. "Father?!"
No answer.
"Ienzo?!" You yelled, and walked around some more. You ran into the lab, sensing something wrong.
It was a mess, to say the least, and that was not the norm from your rather tidy father.
And for some odd reason, it looked worn down, not the shiny new peice of equipment that you were used to seeing day by day.
Your panic quickly swallowed your heart.
"Ienzo?!" You let out one more time. There was no reply but the eerie buzzing of the mechanics. You turned your head, seeing a light blue glow from one of your father's computer screens.
You walked over to it.
"Computer?" You requested.
"Yes, Lady Aisho?" It replied in it's automated voice. It only knew your name because your father had to program in recognition--so it wouldn't kill you when you came into the lab.
"What happened?" You asked.
"You do not have acess to that data." It replied, bluntly.
"I'm requesting it!" You shouted, frustrated.
"Hostile threat. Preparing to eliminate." It said, it's voice still cheery. "Exit if you wish to remain. Five. Four. Three..."
You turned and ran out of the room, ear pressed to the door until it said: "Threat eliminated. Protection protocall terminated."
You pushed the door open again, warily. "Computer?" You asked.
"Yes, Lady Aisho?"
You blinked. You remember something...a deeply hidden memory.
That was the odd part. You knew that months had passed--maybe years--and you remembered waking up every now and then through that, in between the time you fell asleep in here for the first and now...but you couldn't recall what had happened when you woke up. Just that everyone was really worried about you. You just didn't know.
And that scared you.
"User I.D. equals Ienzo." You said.
"User I.D. accepted. Voice pattern negative. Please enter code."
You walked forward and then looked for the entry pad...there was none.
"Uh..."
"Negative code." It warned. "Two more tries."
You blinked. It must be a verbal code. "User I.D. equals Ienzo, Code equals Aisho, I repeat, A-I-S-H-O."
The computer hummed, processing. "Code accepted. Welcome, Ienzo. Would you like me to acess your selected vocal settings?"
You tilted your head. Vocal settings?
"Um. Sure...I mean, Yes, computer, activate selected vocal settings."
It hummed, the word 'processing' flased across the screen. "Vocal code equals personal program. Generic voice deactivated. Vocal program one one nine, last known setting. Vocal file named: Eye-ee-show." The computer said, making a complete mockery of your name.
You giggled a little. Ienzo made his computer sound like you?
"Hello, Ienzo-kun, what can I do for you today?" The computer asked. It sounded so much like you that it was eerie.
"Um...I'd like to acess the most recent files on this computer's hard-drive." You said, trying to think of what might tell you what happened here.
"Are you sure? You ranked those top-secret."
"I'm sure, computer." You said.
"Please, call me Aisho."
You blinked and giggled again. You knew you were trying to be serious and all, but this was just comical. Why would Ienzo program his computer to have your voice?
"Sure thing, Aisho." You answered.
It hummed happily and opened a large white page of type.
"Here you are, Master Ienzo." It said, happily. "Please tell me if there's anything I can do for you further."
You frowned, concerned by the first words of type on the page. "Of course, computer." You said, and then blinked. "Why would he do that?" You asked out-loud.
The page was utter non-sense. All ones and zeros, and then you realized.
"Comput--I mean, Aisho?"
"Yes, Ienzo-kun?" It asked.
You blinked. "Please translate." You said.
"Of course, Ienzo-kun." It answered, and began running a translation program.
--I know that it's short notice to be back. But I have to leave this record in case Aisho wakes up.
She's smart enough to know my password is her name--I've told her, but I don't know what she'll remember of those days that we spent together.
Aisho, if you're reading this, then I'm gone.
Chances are, your father's gone too.
You need to know what happened to me.
Xehanort had a plan to run more tests using some of the lab assistants as subjects.
I'm certian it's perfectly safe.
But your father was not so sure. He told us not to go through with it, but we decided to leave anyway. I'm currently at an undisclosable location with Xehanort and the other lab assistants. Trust me. We are safe.
I sent this file, encrypted, to my user account on your father's computer so you could veiw it.
I promise to find you.
When you wake up, that is.
If you ever do.
The expirments start tommorrow...I'm not sure what day you're getting this, so I'll assume that they already happened...
...in truth, I am scared.
I won't worry you with the details, but I will tell you that if this works, we will have acheived absolute knowledge.
I'm sorry you couldn't come along, but you've been getting worse, Aisho. If your father is not there, please take the purple pills that I left in your room under your bed. They'll make you better.
And, hopefully, restore your memories.
I don't know how long you've been out of it, Aisho.
But I must tell you why you can't remem--
You blinked, having heard a noise, and turned.
"Who are you?" A voice asked.
"Better question is who are you?" You rebuttled.
A boy stepped out from the shadows, but he wore a black robe and his hood was up.
"That stands to be unimportant." He said, sourly.
You glared at him. "Computer." You commanded.
"Yes, Master Ien--"
"Hostile threat." You said, lowly.
The boy jumped back before a laser shot at him, and he opened a dark portal and ran.
You took in a shaking breath. "Threat elimanted." You said, and turned to the computer to finish reading.
"Emergancy protocall shut down." The computer said, it's generic voice back.
"No!" You argued, but it shut down. "Purple pills." You said out-loud, and walked out the door. You went into your room and went under your bed. You pulled out the container and blinked at them.
"I suppose they must be safe." You said with a sigh. You placed one in your mouth and swallowed.
Then you stood. "I best figure out how long I've been out of it..." You said, softly, and went to down to the front door of the castle. You pulled the door open and looked outside. You gasped, almost not believing what you saw.
You ran out, trying to believe what you were seeing.
"Where are the gardens?!" You asked, your voice shaking. "Where's the bright blue sky? Where's the happy people?" Your heart almost leaped out of your mouth. You couldn't believe what you were seeing. You turned back to go into the castle and continued watching the screen, waiting for the emergency shut down to wear off to see if Ienzo had said anything about what happened, but something black leaped on you.
You knocked it back and summoned a ball of magic to your hands, but before you could throw it, another one was on you.
This one, however, got shot off of you.
Someone ran over to you and held out a hand.
"Are you okay?!" A voice asked.
You looked up. A girl with short black-brown hair and a ninja outfit on was holding her hand out to you.
You took it and pulled yourself up. "Yes, I'm fine." You said, very politly. "What happ--" You got cut off by another one, but it got cut down.
"They seem to be specifically after her, Yuffie, protect her!" A boy with brown hair and a scar on his face yelled.
The girl saluted. "Yes Leon sir!" She said, and began protecting you.
"You don't have to do that..." You said, and pushed your hands together. "Lightga." You said, and a blast of light knocked the black things back. They retreated.
"Are you okay?" The one known as Yuffie asked.
"Yes but...what's going on? What were those?" You asked.
The boy now called Leon laughed. "You don't know what a Heartless is? What are you, new around here?"
You looked down and moved a hand up to your heart and then down back to your side. "I've been out of it...inside that castle." You said, pointing.
"That castle?" Leon asked, startled.
You nodded and then blinked. "What were those things? You called them Heartless...why were they after me?"
He looked down. "I don't know, honestly."
You looked down, but then something grazed your shoulder.
"Nobodies!" Yuffie said, and went to an attack position.
"The Organization." Leon said, readying his Gunblade.
"Nobodies?" You asked, and blinked. You looked up. The boy from before with the black cloak was up on the roof.
"You!" You said, pointing.
He jumped down. "Yes me. But not the 'me' that you mean. I'm not the one who you encountered in the castle. That was Axel." He said. "Now, if you will excuse me, I have to take young Lady Aisho here. She's very important to us."
Leon made a low angry noise. "You'll have to beat us fir--"
"Wait." You said, and ran over to the boy. You pulled off his hood before he could stop you.
Page break! If you're wondering what's happening, I'll sum it up right here: Aisho koncked out of it last episode. This episode, she wakes up. She realizes that she's been out of it for months--maybe years--because she knows that she woke up at some point in between. But she can't remember anything she did when she woke up before. And now she's in Hollow Bastion, and very confused. Okay? Okay.
"Elaeus?" You asked, but that just seemed to piss the big guy off.
"How do you know that name?" He asked, and ran at you.
"Well...erm...isn't that the name you go b--" He ran at you, his tomahawk almost making a deadly collsion with your head. But you threw your hand up and magic caught it.
"Who are you?" You asked. This couldn't possibly be the strong but lighthearted Elaeus that you'd known back in your father's lab.
"My name is Lexaeus. Number five, the Silent Hero." He said, and ran at you again. "And you're coming with me."
You dodged. Yuffie gasped at how amazingly spry you were, and neither her nor Leon stepped in to help you, sensing this fight was personal to you.
He swung at you again and your brought you hands together, a blue light surrounding them. "Blizzardga!" You called, and threw the icy magic at your enemy. He dodged and threw his tomahawk, but it missed you by a hair.
A dark portal opened and another form ran out and joined the larger man.
"You idiot! You were not to reveal--"
You ran at this one and de-hooded him.
He smacked you back and quickly started to pull his hood back up. "She's curious, this one, too curious." He said, and snapped his fingers, his hood securly back over his face. A group of small greyish creatures surrounded you.
"Xemnas will not be happy." The new boy said, and grabbed Lexaeus. "Come. Quickly." He said, and the two of them ran through the portal.
"What the hell are these things?!" You asked Yuffie and Leon.
He started fighting them back.
"These particular ones are called Dusk. But the all of them are called Nobodies. Even those guys you just fought right now!"
You nodded. "You'll tell me all you know when we're done with this?" You asked.
She nodded and smiled. "Sure thing." She called.
You pushed your hands together. "Annialation." You called, and a ball of pure white magic pushed out of your hands and all the dusk recoiled, running or dying. You turned to Yuffie.
"Will you please give me some explinations?" You asked.
Her eyes widened at your amazing magic skills.
"Sure thing." She said, and her and Leon started walking with you in tow, telling you all about what they remembered of the last few years.
Hey there! Go on to the next blocky! YAY BLOCKY! For those of you who don't know what happened in that block, Aisho knew the other of the nobody who just attacked them. She said his old name, he was mad, and then attacked her. Other Nobody showed up, the two of them ran. Mysterious, Mysterious, Mysterious. Also, Aisho used Blizzardga, Lightga, and Annialation! ^-^
Yuffie stood at the door, rifling through her pockets for the key to the door.
"So...you mean to say that these 'Heartless' and these 'Nobodies' are generally seperated parts of humans?:
Yuffie blinked, confused. But Leon nodded.
"Yeah, generally that's all they are. The Heartless capture hearts. Nobodies are what happens when...well...when a person dies, and their heart is pure or something to that effect, then a nobody is produced. And if the person was strong enough, the nobody produced will be strong as well."
You nodded, understanding the concept. You had been raised with Ansem the Wise, after all.
Yuffie finally found the key. "Ah ha!" She shouted, and started to stick it into the door.
But the door swung open and a boy with spiky blonde hair, and a sourly depressed looking disposition on his face was behind it. "It was open, Yuffie, it was unlocked the whole time."
Yuffie sighed and sweatdropped, turning back to the two of you. "Erm. Sorry." She said, her voice exasperated as she laughed at her own stupidity.
