okey-day
Crissandra stood solemnly, gazing across the waters of the sea. Ireland, such a beautiful country. The wind pushed her hair wildly through the air. She smiled quietly and turned her eyes towards Scotland. There, far away across the land would stand Hogwarts. A fierce rival of Panthera's. Panthera had more brains and bravery than any of those at Hogwarts. And Hogwarts knew it. Crissy glanced far to the west and in her mind's eye saw Beauxbaton and further to the north, Durmstrang. A wave crashed into the rocky cliffs, its spray flying up on the wind. A gentle hand rested on Crissy's shoulder. "Come now, child." Came the soft voice of Magistra Caelum,"We shall be joining the other students shortly." Crissy turned wordlessly to follow her Headmistress back to the school. The school had become Crissy's home over the past few years. It was her safe haven, but not of friendship and happiness. Nor did she reallly care. Life was too short for such nonsense as falling in love or making new friends. None of things had ever meant anything to her. And neither had the word "family". She was as cold as the sea itself and just as vast. Her mind stretched itself beyond what most could even come close to comprehending. Her knowledge was almost bottomless and her cunning was boundless. There was only one thing in life she loved, her art. Her art came out in hundreds of different ways, singing, dancing, music, painting, writing, sketching. Though she herself did not really want friends, family, or someone to fall in love with, she created her characters to do just that for her. Sometimes though she felt a the tiniest twinge of longing, but it was quickly thrust aside from her mind. The castle loomed just ahead of the pair. Crissy walked into the Great Hall and sat down at her normal seat as head of the Fairy-Wing students. Her superior was the Divinations teacher. First years were Sorted into the different Houses by a small glass ball. The ball was originally just a clear glass ball, but when a first year picked it up it acted much like the Sorting Hat of Hogwarts. It would speak into the frightened child's mind and then glow a certain color for the appropriate House. Crissy sat back and watched from beneath hooded eyes as the first boy was Sorted into Dragonheart. Crissy often grew bored during this time and would try and scry out what the future held for her. Her eyes turned a shimmering green, glowing and a single color. A scene flashed before her. "Crissy?" A soft voice said worriedly,"Are you all right?" Crissy sat up, her head spinning. "Yeah, I'm fine." She staggered to her feet, clutching at a golden egg. Blood was dripping from a large gash in her temple, but she ignored all the worried looks and limped to the mediwizards. The vision ended abruptly and Crissy was thrown back into the present. A golden egg and a soft voice of a... boy? This dream had been becoming more and more frequent. What could it possibly mean? Everything she saw had at least two meanings and more than one possible answer. Magistra Caelum was just standing up to speak. "This year Hogwarts has extended us the invitation of the Triwizard Tournament. Though," Her eyes glittered with amusement,"Though the invitation was first extended to Beauxbaton who gracously declined. We were next in line and I have accepted." The students cheered. THe Headmistress raised her hands for silence and silence immediately fell upon the hall. "I will be choosing 20 students to ride to Hogwarts with me. I expect only the best of behavior from those I choose." One of the professors handed her a scroll. She unrolled it and read:"Crissandra Griffith, Jackie Griffith(Did I mention that they AREN'T related?), Terry Cameron, Alex Niles, Trent Dugger, Ryley Hardt, Josh Monson,......" The list trailed on. When she had finished,"Will those students please make their way to the Quidditch Pitch? Thank you." Crissy and the others slowly moved out onto the Quidditch Pitch. Crissy was interested as to how they would get to Hogwarts. People gasped as they realized they would reach Hogwarts by....
not the greatest ending I know, but still rate. Thankies.
