Pounding feet echoed behind you. Your hair whisked behind you as you sprinted down the street. You quickly turned a corner, pressing your back firmly against the wall and quieted your heavy panting. Angry merchants ran passed you, shouting furiously and you smirked, shifting the bag strap that hugged your shoulder. You shook your head and walked down the darkened alleyway. Scuttles and scrapes against the concrete made you stop and you sighed, closing your eyes and tilted your head slightly to the right. You ducked just in time before a small shadow tackled you. You watched in amusement as the shadow tumbled across the concrete and you walked over to it, a smirk spreading across your face and a brow raised. A small cat boy smiled up at you innocently and you closed your eyes, softly chuckling.
"Triskle, what am I going to do with you?"
He shrugged and you helped him up. Both of you walked down the alley until you came to a door which you opened with ease. You closed the door, locking it and sighed flipping on the light switch. It wasn't much, but it was home. Two mattresses lay in the far right corner, a table and two chairs to the left. You and Triskle stumbled upon this old, abandoned storage room in Montresser Space Port on a rainy night. Books, toys, papers, weapons, and other various and random items decorated the concrete floor. You placed the bag down and sighed, closing your tired eyes and Triskle dived into the bag, rummaging through it and grabbed a plump red apple and a freshly caught salmon.
"You know, Sabe, one of these days you're going to get caught."
You shrugged, eyes still closed, and cracked your neck, shuddering in pleasure as a numb feeling slithered up and down your spine.
"Hasn't happened yet, and I don't think it will any time soon."
You said, smirking boldly. Triskle stared at you slightly perplexed about something as you picked through the bag.
"Sabe, why don't you let 'em out?"
You stared at the ground and smiled.
"Whoops."

You closed your eyes and gray wolf ears slowly sprouted on top of your head and a gray wolf tail swished behind you. You opened your eyes and shivered, your claws slowly growing to their average length and your fangs curving over your bottom lip. Triskle smiled.
"I always feel weird when you don't have 'em out."
"I always feel weird when they're not out."
Triskle smiled and gnawed happily on his fish while you took out a raw steak and started ripping it apart. The flavor of blood and raw meat danced on your tongue and you savored it. After eating your fills, both you and Triskle fell asleep.
Moments later, sounds outside the locked door woke you. Your ears twitched madly and your upper lip curled over your fangs and a growl rumbled deep in your throat. Triskle moaned softly and sat up and you put a finger to your lips. Triskle nodded and you quietly and quickly went to the door and listened. As soon as you pressed your ear against the door, the door was kicked open, sending you flying backwards. Your back met fiercely with the concrete and you hissed in pain. Soon, Triskle's scream filed your ears and your eyes widen, your pupils becoming smaller. Anger and fury boiled within you, coursing through your blood and you stood up, your fangs and claws growing abnormally long. You lunged at the nearest person, ripping them limb from limb. Triskle's screams ceased and you quickly snapped your gaze downward and you stared in horror at Triskle's limp, bloody form. Blood slowly pooled about him, gleaming darkly. Within the next second you blacked out, only remembering hearing the screams of men and then soon, everything stopped.

You woke up hours later, God knows where. You heard thumbing, jeering, and whirring behind you and you quickly sat up, only to be flipped forward. Your legs dangled on whatever it was you were laying on, your back bent strangely on the ground to where basically, you were almost folded I half. You blinked a few times to get your vision corrected and saw a lion like man, only he was half machine.
'A cyborg? Where the hell am I?'
He looked down at you and smiled, speaking in a faint accented voice.
"Ahhhh 'bout time you finally woke up, Lass. Been terribly worried about you."
You stood up, your boots making hollow clunking sounds on the floor. You looked down to see yourself standing on wood and you looked around, seeing that you were in a kitchen of some sort. The man was busy cooking and the heavenly aromas danced about in the steam that slowly blew towards you. You closed your eyes, your mouth watering in hunger and then man laughed. You opened your eyes, smiling sheepishly.
"Found ya on the streets I did.. You were pretty banged up, hoped you would be waken up soon. You look awful hungry. Don't be worryin now young lass, food'll be ready soon."
You raised your brow. What on earth was he babbling on about. Then your eyes widen and you bolted to him, grabbing him by the front of his un-tucked shirt.
"Was there a little boy with me?"
You asked, almost desperately. The cyborg looked out of the corner of his eye and shook his head.
"Sorry lass, but I finds no little one wit ya."
Your heart sank and you let go of his shirt and sighed, your ears slightly moving backward and you pounced on the counter, laying there tiredly. The man cast sympathetic look to you and continued cooking. Hours went by, and you found his name was Silver. You had come to like him and he told you that in the next few hours it would be dawn, and this boat would be sailing off into the vast space to find a treasure planet. You were aware of the planet, but you only thought it was a myth. You and Silver stayed up all night, talking about random things. You told him that you had no parents; that they were killed a long time ago and you were orphaned. The orphaning part was true, but the story about your parents being killed was not. You didn't want anyone to know of your secret. You told him your father was wolf and your mother was human. He nodded understandingly and went about cleaning the kitchen, and you offered to help him with cooking and cleaning. He greatly accepted your offer and you smiled, and began cooking something that you made for Triskle all the time. The sun slowly shown, its bright rays breaking through the clouds, lighting up the galley where you and Silver were busying yourselves. Another few hours passed by and footsteps could be heard, but you couldn't see anything because the steam from the pot prevented you from seeing the stairs and who came down them. You only heard the voices that complained angrily.
"That woman, that feline! Whom does she think is working for whom?!"
"It's my map and she's got me bustin' tables."
The second voice seemed to have belonged to a boy about your age, or so you thought. You heard another stern voice accusing them and it went silent and then Silver started speaking.
"Why Mr. Arrow Sir, bringing two such fine gentlemen to my humble galley. If I woulda known, I woulda tucked in me shirt."
You smiled at his words, shaking your head, and the voice you dubbed as "Mr. Arrow's" introduced the other two voices.
"This is Professor Dilbert; he's funding the voyage. And this here is James Hawkins."
You cocked your head in curiosity and jumped from the counter onto Silver's large shoulder. Your eyes slightly squinted and you looked at the rather large rock man, known as Mr. Arrow and down at the other two men who stared at you oddly. You swished your tail, jumping off of Silver's shoulder and landing beside him. Silver smiled.
"This here is Saberial. I found her on the streets, and she'll be workin' for me."
Mr. Arrow dismissed it with a casual nod and then offered the Professor a look around. The other boy, who looked about your age was about to walk away, but Mr. Arrow shoved him back, telling Silver that James would be working with him. You groaned, as did the other two and you quickly darted behind Silver and began working. Mr. Arrow soon left with the Professor and Silver went to his cooking. You felt someone's gaze on you and you looked, locking your eyes with James. He looked at you in wonder and you just glared at him and continued working.
'Joyus. I have to work with a human rebel boy who thinks that he's a badass with his looks, woohoo. Boy...this is going to be a long voyage.'
Little did you know, James was thinking the same thing about you.

WOOO! Long chapter!
