Rubys POV
I dont know why I said I love you it just sorta slipped out. Mom came to the door and started yelling, Open this door at once or Ill break it down! I decided to ignore her and break the hug with Ryan. I stepped away and sat on the toilet seat. Whats wrong? Ryan asked. I heard mom start yelling, but she was away from the door must have called dad again Shes not that bad, Ryan added, then she started screaming, Ok, I take it back. Shes horrible! I couldnt help but laugh. I unlocked the door and went to my bedroom, glancing at the clock on my way. 7:10 almost time for school. Wait. SCHOOL! How could I forget about school!? Oh-no, I said to Ryan, its almost time for school and moms too busy fighting with dad to drive me!

Ryans POV
She left the bathroom so I followed her. Then she said, Oh-no, its almost time for school and moms too busy fighting with dad to drive me! So I told her, let me drive you! And, if you can wait until after school Ill show you a surprise. She looked happy and pushed me out of the room so she could get ready. Mom was still on the phone with dad, only they were past the arguing phase and in the Im-never-going-to-talk-to-you-again phase. Finally Ruby was ready. I walked her down the stairs and outside to get to my car.

Rubys POV
I was led downstairs by Ryan after I was ready. He pushed the unlock button on his car clicker thingy (I really dont know the name of those things X D) I saw the lights on the car flash and all I could say was, wow! His car was the not-yet-released 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10! (Say that 10 times fast wow, I really like these dot things) He saw my expression and smiled. Get in or Ill push you in! And trust me, you dont want me to push you in! he said. I pretend screamed and ran into the car. Also, Ill have a surprise after school if you want! As we drove up to the school he smiled and said, So, after school let me know if youre ready for your surprise. Ok, I said, getting out of the car to search for my best friends. I waved goodbye to Ryan as he drove off. I finally found Cassie, Ana, and Jacqueline standing by the door waiting for me. What up in the skillet home biscuit, dawg? I said, our usual greeting. (no one would get this unless they go to my school) They just stood there gaping at me why? Fine, I said, if you guys are gonna be like that then Im goin to class a-lone! No wait! said Ana, its just that, well. All of us have been saving for 2 years since we heard about the Dodge Viper SRT 10 and then you come driving up to school in it!!! And, the worst part is, you didnt even CALL US so we could congratulate you! I smiled. Good ole Ana always making suspense

Ryans POV
Rubys a good kid, I know this because she was the only baby Ive ever seen that never cried. She still never cries at least, not in front of people anyway. I drove her up to the school. So, after school let me know if youre ready for your surprise. I said. OK! said Ruby. She looked very excited. I drove off while she waved bye. Now, Im hungry try to think back to when you lived here, Ryan. What good places are there around here to eat? Hmmm Hows about...Applebees. I havent eaten there in a while!

After school Rubys POV
Well, I told them everything. All the way from Ryan being in my bed, to Ryan driving me to school. Bye! I say to Cassie, Ana, and Jacqueline. Bye! they reply. All right, Ill admit it, I am VERY excited. Also nervous though. Ive only known Ryan for a few hours and he wants to surprise me with something I dont think hes capable of hurting people though, he didnt hurt me or mom when he had the chance to. I see him drive up the curving parking lot of the school. I walk to the car trying to act like its no big deal that my brother-no-ones-seen-before is picking me up in the new Viper. No big deal at all!!! NOT! Boy am I excited. I get in and finally ask, So, whats your big surprise? Well, he replies, I was wondering if you would like to go driving today? Ryan, Im only 14, I reply. I know but- I cut him off But I would love to! No ones ever taken me driving before. So he drives up to the malls parking lot, which is empty because of remodeling. The parking lot is empty. He gets out of the car and waits for me to get into the drivers side. I get behind the wheel feeling very, very nervous. My hands start to shake crap. I dont know how to drive! What am I thinking? Im going to crash, ruin Ryans car, and most likely; GET US KILLED!!! Jeez. Dont worry, he says, Im here and I promise nothing, I repeat, NOTHING will happen as long as Im here. Now, put it in drive and do it! he smiles. Ok but Im not going to promise a miracle, I reply. But then that turns into a lie because the more I think about his words makes me smile inside because someone finally believes in me! I feel like I can do anything, so I do put it into drive and ease my foot on the gas. Too much though, we zoom forward and I slam on the brakes. Wow, this is harder than I thought it possibly could be he laughs at me. What are you laughing at, pretty boy? I ask in a funny imitation mobster voice. Nothin Tony! I swear I saw nothin! he says in a high Italian snitch voice. I laugh, which calms my nerves. I decide to go at it again. This time I do great! Keep going! he says, youre getting the hang of it. I finally park. He gets out of the car and hugs me. (wow, he really likes hugging people!!! XD) I get back into the passenger seat and we start heading home. Oh no, mom is going to kill me if she finds out I drove. She has a strict, No doing anything until youre the required age rule. Were almost back! OH CRAP!!!
