Angel Eyes It's Returned...The Forlorn Hope

~Hours Later - That Night -- Yusuki's POV~ You hear a bang as Yusuke kicks the door open. They all run in, out of breath even Hiei. "Yusuki..." Yusuke starts. "He took her..." you whisper quietly, hanging your head. "who took her?" Shugo asks. "A man came... it wasn't Koenma. I'd never seen him before but he said he was here for her since Koenma couldn't get her... He had a badge... I tried to stop him but he took her anyway." Kurama notices you hiding your arms. "what'd he do to you?" He asked, kneeling down in front of you. you flinch and pull back as he touches the large bruises on your arms. "oh my god Suki." Kurama pulls you into a tight hug. Hiei looks into the play pen. "where's Sakura?" "she went away. I told her to hurry and teleport away before the guy would hurt her. I have no idea where she went." You say with tear-filled eyes. Yusuke is searching the room as he asks, "did the guy say anything to you?" You nod. "he said 'Don't worry girl she'll be well taken care of. We just need the Forlorn Hope.' cept he didn't say it in a friendly tone it was more like an evil tone... kinda like hiei." Hiei narrows his eyes at her. "he's going to kill mommy isn't he? hes' the one that made her sick..." Suddenly the gang appears in Koenma's office. The guy that came to the house is there, sitting on the desk. Yusuki screams and buries herself into Kurama's chest. "calm down girl. don't be a baby." He says. Koenma turns around in his chair. "thank you all for coming. I realize Kuri's methods of retrieveing Serena's body was unorthodox (sp?) and he will be punished." Hiei kicks him across the room, "where's my wife you bastard?" Kuri wipes the blood off his mouth and stands up. "I don't know where she's at I was just told to retrieve the body. and if I remember correctly you two haven't officially been married yet. She's up for grabs" he smirks. Hiei growls as Yusuke grabs him. "calm down Hiei." "yes Hiei calm down or you will be removed and banned from the house for a number of months just like when you tried killing Serena." Koenma says as Hiei sits down. "now as I continue, Serena is here in my hands and I'm afraid the process of fixing the Forlorn Hope has taken more of a toll on her body than we first expected. It doesn't help matters that she was having relations with Kurama during the repair process." "what?! you been doing her behind my back?" "that's not what I meant Hiei now if you don't shut up and sit your ass down I'll be forced to arrest you." Hiei growls and sits back down. "I only meant that he was visiting her." He glances at Kurama, who looks both relieved and fear-full for them almost discovering the truth. "Now I'm afraid I'll have to keep a hold on her body but you are all allowed to go see her before we put her in the holding chamber." "the wa?" Yusuke asks. "Holding Chamber. it's the safest way to remove the Forlorn Hope without further damaging her body."

"further damage? how much damage did this mirror cause to her?" Shugo asked the room, looking confused. "well... the mirror was using her spirit energy that's why we had to wipe her memory so it could absorb her energy freely. but since her memory came back early the forlorn was absorbing more energy than she had and has completely deplited her spirit energy. not only will that take months to recover, her demon forms have returned to their previous state and continue to disagree on most things. Pure and Eve must be rejoined in order for Serena to have complete control over her demon forms. without this... I am afraid she may be the end of the world..." Koenma drifts off giving a chance for the gang to absorb this material into their minds and they all look stunned. "she will need to practice fighting for her techniques have been shot down by the forlorn hope to drain the body of even more energy. if any further damage is done... she may not be able to bear anymore children... she may even lose her life." They all stare in disbelief at Koenma. He just stares sadly back at them. "damn it Kurama why did you have to screw this up?!" Hiei growls and punches Kurama, knocking him and Yusuki backwards. "That's it Hiei! you're banned from seeing Serena and you're under arrest and must live here under my supervision until further notice" Koenma yells and energy cuffs instantly appear around Hiei's hands. "I'll get you monkey breath." Hiei mutters as an orge drags him away to a room. Koenma looks at the clock. "I'm afraid this meeting has taken longer than planned so Serena is being docked to put into the holding chamber as we speak... follow me." Koenma leads the way down the hall to a window that shows into a large room.

There are several people in white coats wandering around the room that is full of computers and in the middle has a long, circular, glass chamber. Serena is laying on a table in a white jumpsuit (like Evangelion... yes I know it's not spelled right but hey I dun care) that is at the base of the chamber with a round door above her. Someone injects a blue liquid into her arm and waves to another person at the computer attached to the chamber. "Ready to go." "Begin submersion." the one at the computer tells it and the table is pulled into the chamber, the door closes and locks itself. "Air-Water Replacement" the computer says and the chamber starts filling up with a watery substance that is a hint of pink. The jumpsuit on Serena starts to dissovle around her as the chamber fills up. A small white dress (like Aura... doesn't matter which ./hack you watch) appears on her and the computer brings up her stats. "all good Koenma. Her body is adjusted well to the pressure and the microbes are picking up all her stats." a blue-haired lady tells him through the glass. "alright. keep the pressure and don't change anything." She nods and hits a few buttons on the keyboard. "all set" "good. we must go now." Koenma says. The gang takes one last long look at Serena floating in the chamber then follows Koenma back down the hall.
