Unamed Innocence (The Legend of Dragoon) :: Part Three

BACK TO YOUR POV

The hooden man left you after the conversation. However he did leave you some food--a good meal's worth. After you had eaten all the food, you sat back down
on the bed, waiting for what would happen next.

Oh, who is that guy?! And what the heck does he want with ME? What could he POSSIBLY want with me? I wish he would just...tell me for Pete's
sake!

While you were in the midst of your thoughts, one of Emperor Doel's Black Soldiers had walked in.

"Come with me," he ordered.

You figured it couldn't hurt, so you followed him to the Black Castle. He led you up numerous elevators, and eventually into Emperor Doel's chambers. You had no
intention of bowing.

"So, you must be Fifine. Nice to finally meet you in your concious state."
"Oh please, call me Fifi. And how do you know my name?"
"Heh. You're famous around these parts shall we say."
"Why will no one give me a straight answer?!"
"You'll find out soon, my dear." He then glanced over to the left corner of the room. You then noticed the hooded man was standing there. "Was he good to you?
He didn't hurt you did he?"
"Uh no. Why should you care anyway?"
"Just curious is all."
"Ever heard that curiousity killed the cat?"
"Oh you're a funny one you are..." he paused for a moment. "Lloyd! Do me a favour and give this girl her just deserts. No one speaks to ME like that."

With those words, the hooded figure started to make his way towards you, but before he came any closer you dashed out of the room, only to have the entrance
blocked by guards. You walloped them good, and headed for the entrance, eager to make your escape.

You ran out of the castle as fast as you could, getting rid of anyone who stood in your way. When you had finally made it out of the castle, you ran to the
entrance of Kazas, only to have it become blocked with guards. Soon after, more guards came from behind you, surrounding you so you couldn't make your
escape. You knew you stood no chance against them, and you couldn't make a run for it.

When they started attacking you, you tried to fend them off, but it was no use. No matter what you did, there was no way you could defeat them all. You started
to recieve multiple slashes on both your arms and legs. You then felt your knees start to buckle, and you fell to the ground. You then felt a sharp blade slash right
across your face. You cried out in pain, and slowly passed out before you saw the hooded figure slowly hover over you.

When you woke up, you were lying on the same bed you had been put on before. You then noticed your whole body had been bandaged. You also saw you were
in an entirely different outfit! Someone had bandaged you and re-dressed you in different clothes. It was a simple white dress, with a golden belt around the
waist that looked just like this one. You also wore many thin golden
bracelets around your right arm, and wore a thick one designed just like your belt on your left one. You wore golden sandles, like the ones you would see in
ancient times. You looked like you were from royalty. Your hair had been put into a half ponytail and was no longer flipped--most likely because you had slept on it.
When you looked in a mirror you noticed your hair had returned to its platinum colour. You had dyed it so other people wouldn't be suspicious.

Well, I suppose my other clothes would have been pretty bloody. But whoever did this must have seen me nearly naked. It better not have been that hooded
guy...But then again, how could he have such exquisite style and do such a nice job with hair?

Your questions were soon answered as what looked like a female slave of Doel entered. She wore nothing but rags; flithy rags, with very shaggy hair that looked
it hadn't been brushed in days.

"Is there anything I can do for you?" she asked timidly.
"Would you be able to answer a few questions?" you asked kindly.
"Yes, I would. Emperor Doel told me to answer any questions you have--I hope to answer them all."
"Thank you," you smiled. "Who dressed me and bandaged me then?"
"I did. I hope you don't mind."
"Not at all. I'm just glad it wasn't that hooded man... Can you also tell me why I am dressed so extravigantly?"
"Your clothes were full of blood from the attack from the guards, and this was the only outfit the Emperor had that fit you best."
"Hmm. Do I get to keep it?"
She chuckled. "Yes, you do. Any more questions?"
"Do you have any idea what the Emperor wants with me?"
"I believe they are using you as bait for Shana--the girl from Seles. Apparently you two are good friends?"
"Yes, but why Shana?"
"I'm not sure. There were some things the Emperor wouldn't tell me."
"I see."
"Well, I must go. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask the Emperor when you see him tonight. You'll be having dinner with him and that hooded man in
the castle later in the evening. It's 6:00 now...so maybe in an hour someone will escort you." she smiled and left leaving you alone again.

Why would he want to have dinner with me when I tried to escape on him, as well as talk inappropriately to him? I don't understand...

You then walked around the house, trying to figure out exactly what was going on...

ROSE'S POV

I was expecting Fifi to be with them. I would ask, but they might suspect something.

You had just entered Volcanic Vollude, barely escaping Fire Bird. You were trying to make it to the Nest of Dragon to destroy the Green Tusked Dragon--Feybrand.
It was going to be no easy task, but with another Dragoon besides yourself, it should be easier than if you were going to do it alone.

I wonder if the Virage is still here...Let's just hope it doesn't awaken if it is.

As you made your way deeper and deeper into the Vollude, your hopes were dampened. The Virage was still here, and it awakened. You fought it, and easily
defeated it with the help of Dart and his Dragoon. He seemed to be mastering it pretty fast.

I wonder why it awakened. Was it because of its hatred against us Dragoons, or was it something to do with Shana? She said something about a voice calling
her to it. Could she be--No. I killed her 18 years ago. She can't be...

As you kept moving onward, you eventually made it to the Nest of Dragon. Once inside its nest, you made your way through a strange maze, and soon entered
its chambers, only to find out it was being manipulated by another Dragoon by the name of Greham who apparently killed Lavitz's Father.

After he had been defeated, Lavitz learned a lesson of not seeking revenge and recieved the Jade Drogoon spirit from Greham after he had moved on. Shana
then collasped from all the Dragon poison, and you all rushed to the nearest town of Lohan, taking her immediatly to the Clinic. Apparently the doctor there was
known throughout Serdio for his talent.

You found out you needed to get some Dragoni Plant--after some careful investigation--to heal Shana from the Dragon poison. There was only one place to go,
but to a shrine just nearby. The Shrine of Shirley.

Shirley...I wonder how she is doing. I can sense she has not passed on yet.

BACK TO YOUR POV

About an hour had passed by, when suddenly you heard a knock on your door and the hooded figure walked in.

"I am here to take you to dinner."

You then stood up, and followed him out the door and to the castle. He led you to a dining room, as he told you where to sit--on the lower left right across from
him. As you were served your meals, Emporer Doel seemed to do the talking.

"Did Mina answer all your questions, Fifine?"
You shuttered as he used your real name. "If Mina happened to be the girl dressed in rags; she answered all but one."
"Oh? And what question was that?"
"Why you want Shana so badly. Why her?"
"I think you better ask Lloyd that one." You looked across the table to look at the hooded figure you figured to be Lloyd. "Reveal yourself to her, my friend."
"Very well," he replied.

With those words, Lloyd took off his cloak revealing what he really looked like. He had beautiful platinum hair, that was somewhat messy yet good looking. He
wore a silver necklace around his neck, and wore all black. His shirt had a strange white design to it--making him seem all the more mysterious.

"So you wish to know about the child from he moon?"
"Child from the moon? Her NAME is SHANA!"
"Whatever...I'm not quite sure why we need her myself. All will be revealed when Emperor Diaz makes his grand entrance. It will be the birth of a new
world."
"Birth of a new world? Emperor Diaz? What are you talking about? Emperor Diaz died in the Dragon Campaign--a true hero."
"No arguments, you two," Doel spoke up. "What Lloyd speaks is the truth, Fifine. Emperor Diaz is alive, as much as you don't want to believe it, it's true. Now let's
stop this."
"Yes, we should," Lloyd responded, staring at you blankly which made you somewhat uneasy.
"Well, can you answer ONE more question? I forgot to ask Mina..."
"Go ahead," Doel ordered.
"Why are you treating me to dinner? I just tried to escape and you're treating me like a princess!"
"Well, it wasn't MY idea. I wanted to lock you in prison, but LLOYD over here, just wouldn't have it."
"Huh?" You looked over across the table from where you were sitting to face this Lloyd character. "Why?"
"You are too special to punish," he responded.
"Special?! What do you mean special?"
"You're not just here so you can be bait for Shana. You're here for other reasons as well."
"And those other reasons would be?"
"All in good time, my girl. All in good time."

After letting out a sigh of frustration, it was quiet while you all ate the rest of your meals. When you were finished, your dishes and silverware were taken from
you but you hadn't been escorted to leave, so you figured you weren't suppossed to. You assumed correct.

Emperor Doel then led you up a flight of stairs and into a beautiful bedroom. There was queen sized bed in the middle of bed, covered with red satin sheets. There
were a couple of pictures on the walls, some of people some of nature. The bed was pretty much the room's greatest feature. You looked around for a bit until
Emperor Doel spoke up.

"You will be staying here from now on. But don't think of making any getaways--guards will be guarding your room at all times. It would be futile to make an
escape."

With those words, he left you to your new 'room'. You made your way over to the bed, shutting the door tight, and sat down on your new queen sized
'princess-like' bed.

I have never been treated this well in my life. New clothes, new hair style, new bedroom...it's all so breathtaking. But I know it's for some reason I don't know.
I wish Lloyd would just be straight-up and tell me. Why all the secrecy (sp?) ?

You then yawned, covering your mouth out of habit.

Man, I'm getting tired. I think I'll go to sleep...

When you woke up, you were not alone. You woke up to a pair of brown eyes staring down at you. (I think they're brown..or red, I'm not sure.)

"Finally, you're awake," the voice from the eyes said to you.

It was Lloyd, looking like he was ready to make a journey.

"What are you doing in here? Ever heard that a girl needs her privacy?"
"Hmph. I will be going the Lohan to participate in the Heroes Competition. Thought you might want to know."
"Why would I?"
"You never know. You could want to ask me a question."
"You will not answer my question yet, remember? 'All in good time'."
"True. I'll see you later, then."

Lloyd nods a goodbye and leaves.

DART'S POV

I'm glad Shana is finally okay. And we got another Dragoon on our side now. I hope she doesn't OVERDUE it...oh well. This hero competition sounds like it will
be fun.

You had just registered for the heroes competition in Lohan--just for some fun. You were the only one that registered sadly.

After the first few rounds, you caught up with Haschel--an old friend of yours--and found out he had actually been beaten by a man named Lloyd. Apparently he
was quite strong. Finally a worthy advesary!

When you fought him battle, it was simply to futile to even try. This man was strong beyond belief. You placed second, and Haschel placed third with Lloyd placing
first. You congratulated him on his victory, and went to introduce Haschel to your friends.

After introducing him, you and Shana finally had a chance to be alone and have fun playing the games. After a good time with Shana, and a speech from Lavitz,
you headed for the entrance of Lohan, running into one of Bale's soldiers--horribly wounded. It seemed that Bale has been taken over by Kazas and Prince Albert
had been captured and taken to Hellena Prison. Of course Lavitz was outraged, and almost went crazy before Haschel stopped him.

You then heard a voice you knew all too familar.

"DART! SHANA! LAVITZ!"

It was Fifi. You regonized her voice immediately, but you couldn't find her anywhere. You never heard her voice after that. Maybe you were hearing
things?

"Shana...did you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"Nevermind. Let's go to Hellena."

FAST FORWARD - After making it into Hellena and fending off a grusome (sp?) creature after being captured, you were just inches from where Prince Albert was
being held.

After disposing of Fruguel and his minions for good, you saw Lloyd take something out Prince Albert. It looked like some sort of jewel, and was glowing strangely.
When you looked beside him, you saw he was holding a tight grip on Fifi.

BACK TO YOUR POV

Moments earlier...

Lloyd had just came back from Lohan, and came back into your room where you still were.

"Come with me, child." he ordered.
"Why?"
"You'll see."
"Okay..."

With those words, Lloyd took you to Lohan to show you what had happened to one of Bale's soldiers. You saw Dart, Shana, Lavitz, another man that looked like
he was a Karate teacher or something. You also saw a seemingly familar female character... You figured now was as goo as ever to try and escape.

"DART! SHANA! LAVITZ!" you screamed.

As soon as you did, Lloyd took you back, so no one would be able to see you. He hid both of you behind a house close to the entrance.

"Don't think you can escape girl," Lloyd warned you.
"BUt I miss them so much..."
"You'll see them soon--trust me."
You nod as you see your friends take off for Hellena Prison ready to save the King.

When you approached Hellena, you saw Llyod put his cloak back on, and grow wings on his back. He was a...wingly. Just like you, but you woildn't let him know
that.

'He's a wingly?! Amazing...I thought I was one of the only one that lived in the human realm. Wow.'

He then took a hold of you, carrying you up to the top level. He hid both of you behind a pillar.

"We wait here until Dart and his campanions come by and destroy Fruguel--which he probably will."
You nod and continue to wait.

When they had arrived, they did destroy Fruguel. And when they had, Lloyd whispered something into your ear.

"I need to have a tight hold on you, just to scare your 'friends'. I'm sorry if I hurt you."

Without hesitation, Lloyd had a tight grip on you as he made his way over to Prince Albert...

Back to the present...

As Lloyd had a tight grip on you, you saw Lavitz charge at Lloyd is his Dragoon, as Lloyd soon readied a strange sword and struck Lavitz Dragoon armor causing
him to fall to the ground.

"NOO!!" you cried, as you saw Dart and Shana run to his side.

You watched the whole scene from a distance, as you started to cry for your old comrade. As he passed on, you saw his Dragoon spirit go to Prince Albert. You
then looked at the seemingly familiar figure you had seen before. You now knew who she was--Rose. You then turned around to face Lloyd.

"How could you?!"
"You expect me to just sit here while he attacks me?"
"No, but..."
"I've proved my point."
"You are so cruel! You really know how to hurt a girl don't you?!" you screamed between your cries.

When you tried to run away, Lloyd grabbed you by the wrist and pulled you back to where he was standing. You just stood there and cried, while your friends and
Lloyd watched you, but you didn't care. Lloyd still had a hold on your wrist, as he put out his wings, and flew both of you back to the Black Castle. You hadn't
stopped crying the whole way. When you got back to the Castle, you ran up to your room, and cried and crid and CRIED into your pillow. Whyd id Lloyd have to
be so cruel?

Well, looks like Lloyd has made you cry by being a jerk and killing Lavitz. Let's hope he'll do some apologizing (*cough* yeah right... *cough*). Will Dart and the others try and save you? Let's hope so before Lloyd hurts you more.
