The next few days, I stayed in my room and grieved for Fabby. Fauna accompianed me but was usually no help. The next day was the day before I go to the magical school. I started freaking out about my clothes, if people were going to know me, and how Draco was going to embarass me. I didn't have to worry about boys because all I needed was Joel Madden. I had never gone to a magical school but mother says that I will learn quickly and teachers will give me extra help when I needed it. I had always gone to a normal school, a boarding school in America, where I learned numbers, literature, sciences, and history. I had never learned anything about spells, charms, potions, magical creatures, or anything else that wasn't normal. Hopefully I would fit in and everything would be fine. I would have no chance of meeting Joel there since he is normal and doesn't have to worry about magic. The door suddenly burst open with a deafening crack and red light lit through the cracks of the doorway. I closed my eyes and covered my head, fearing the worse. When I opened my eyes Draco was standing in the doorway laughing so hard I thought he would fall on the floor and suffocate, hopefully.
"Should have seen . . . your face," he laughed between breaths.
"Get out of my room!"I yelled and took one of the spell books I was looking at earlier and chucked it at his head. He ducked and it flew in the open bathroom door. I quickly ran into the bathroom and saw my father, sitting on the toilet and staring at the bath tub. I slowly walked over to the bath tub and saw my spell book at the bottom of the tub. My father looked as he might explode. Instead he simply took my spell book out of the bath tub and muttered a spell. The book looked brand new and was really dry, liked it hadn't fallen in the bath tub at all.
"Now get out," he snarled.
"Yes Father, and thank you," I said timidly.
As I closed the door, Draco stood there, watching and trying not to laugh.
"Oh shut up, it's your fault anyway," I said bitterly at him.
"No it's your fault because of your horrible aim," he shot back. He turned to leave, then I took the book and smacked his head with it. I quickly turned and ran inside my room. He banged on the door, which I had expertly locked. I stifled laughter and held Fauna, as I cuddled her in my arms.
That night I tossed and turned as I lay in my bed. My head throbbed. Thoughts rushed into my head.
The next morning I dreaded. I had gone to bed late, since I had been trying some of the spells with my new wand. I had only learned one spell in the last day and secretly hoped it would be useful.
As I got to the train station where I would be going to school, people looked at me strangely.
"Draco, why are those people staring at me?" I asked with him beside me.
"Because, they're witches and wizards. They probably know you're album, the one that's an insult to wizard life." he said matter of factly.
I had never gone anywhere without security blocking my every route out. I had never seen the people on the outside of the security guards, just saw them. Even though I was used to the yelling, screaming, and the jumping. Never looks of hate, or disdain. It was all new for me and I hated it. I looked at my ticket Mother had gotten for me earlier.
"Platform 9 and 3/4. Is there such a thing?" Draco ignored my question so I ran away frmo him to ask someone else. Draco saw this and ran after me. He grabbed my wrist, covered my mouth with his hand, and dragged me over to our things.
"You idiot! We never ask muggles about that platform!" he whispered harshly. "It doesn't exist in their eyes."
"Well, if you answered my question, maybe I would have been satisfied and would not have had to run off," I whispered back angrily. Everything was so confusing, I just wanted to be able to sing, to go on my tour, to see Joel again. I missed my poster terribly, since I had to leave it behind since he was a normal singer, no magic involved.
"Just hold my hand and close your eyes," Draco instructed me. I did as I was told and got pulled along. Everything felt so dizzy with my eyes closed I'd thought I'd fall over.
"Now open them and follow me," Draco instructed again. He felt really bossy right now I could tell, then I suddenly remembered. "I can't believe this, it's so unfair." "Unfair to you? It's unfair to me. Unlike you I have a reputation to uphold." He was worried about me embarassing him in front of everyone. It was now so obvious. He carried our stuff and gave it to someone on the train. I sneaked away and leaped on the train. I opened the first compartment and looked inside. There was a few girls who just stared at me. I quickly closed the door and went on to the next compartment. The next one was filled with boys.
"Hey baby, why don't you come in here and introduce yourself," one of the guys said with a devilish grin.
I closed the compartment with a look of disgust on my face. I looked inside the next one. The next one seemed to be slightly better. There was a brown haired girl and a red head stting there talking, mostly arguing.
"I'm telling you Hermione, if you invest in Fred and George's shop, you could make who knows how many galleons," the red head said.
"No way Ron, that would be simply foolish," the brown haired girl snapped back.
Neither of them seemed to notice I was there. I cleared my throat and both of them leaned in their seats and blushed ferociously.
"Can I come in here?" I asked. Both of them were still flustered.
"Yeah, sure," the brown haired muttered.
I slid in next to the brown haired girl. They introduced themselves as Ron and Hermione.
"Where's Harry? He was supposed to meet us here," Ron whined.
"Who's Harry?" I asked. Both of them stared at me, eyes wide and mouths dropped.
"Harry. Harry Potter," Hermione barely spoke.
"Who is he?" I asked again. I was really starting to get annoyed.
"The Harry Potter, he's a legend. You've never heard of him?" Ron shook his head and sighed.
"Harry Potter is the wizard that survived a curse from You-Know-Who," Hermione calmly said.
"Who's this You-Know-What?" I was ready to explode, all these things that I missed in the wizarding world had now come to haunt me. Now Ron and Hermione looked like they were more than ready to slap some sense into me.
"You-Know-Who is a dark wizard. He gathered supporters, and those who didn't support him, he murdered. Until Harry stopped him," Hermione explained. This was all new to me. I couldn't get anything straight.
The compartment door slid open. A guy walked in and he was . . . REALLY CUTE! He had messy black hair, green eyes that I could just melt in, glasses really round, and this weird scar on his forehead. He was no Joel Madden, but he would definitely go on my list as cute. He was carrying packages and packages of candy. He stared at me a while and dumped the whole pile next to Ron.
"Who's that?" I whispered to Hermione.
"That's Harry," she said it loudly enough for him to turn around, which he did and looked into my eyes.
"Hello, I'm Harry, Harry Potter," he said and held out his hand. I quietly shook it and just stared at him and his green eyes.
"I'm Angelina, Angelina Malfoy," I muttered silently.
Ron's eyes widened. Hermione dropped a candy bar she was about to eat and Harry just stared. Something had obviously gone wrong here in this conversation.
