"You - you're Angelina Malfoy?" Harry stammered.
"Yes, is something wrong?" I asked Harry, he was really cute, I didn't want to frighten him.
"You're Draco Malfoy's sister?" Hermione asked.
"Yeah."
Harry left the compartment. Ron started digging through the pile of candy as if nothing was wrong. Hermione picked up her candy bar and started eating it. I picked up something from the candy pile that said 'Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans'. I took a greenish one out. I spat it out almost instantly. It tasted like . . . phelgm. It was absolutely horrid. Ron saw me and laughed.
"That's what you get with magic," he said with a grin.
The compartment door slid open again. I almost expected Harry to show up but instead was Draco.
"Angelina, there you are. I've been looking everywhere for you. What are you doing with these pathetic losers? Come on, there are some Slytherins who are dying to see you," he grabbed my wrist and pulled me out before Ron or Hermione could say a word. He dragged me into another compartment filled with boys and closed the door. I tried to get out, but he had locked the door. The boys were pretty ugly and nasty. All of them were staring at me.
"So, you're Malfoy's sister?" one of them asked.
"Yeah," I said timidly, my intimidation got into me. Damn it.
The boy closest to me started touching my chest and made his down my back and on my ass. He leaned in to kiss me.
"FURNUNCULUS!" I yelled.
His face started getting red and huge boils started appearing on his face.
"Now if anyone touchs me again, their fate will be the same as his. Now if someone doesn't let me out. I will make sure your face is the same," I yelled and pointed my wand threateningly.
All of the boys snickered and started to move in on me. The door was slammed open and all of the boys were thrown backwards. A red light flashed before my eyes. I was happy to see my rescuer was Harry. He led me out of the compartment, led me into the one I was before with Ron and Hermione and locked the door.
"Thanks for saving me back there," I said.
Hermione looked worried, tears were about to spring out of her eyes. She hugged me and asked what happened. I told them the whole thing. Ron laughed when I mentioned my spell with the boils.
"Who was it? What did he look like?" he asked. Now he seemed more mildly interested than before.
"He was tall, chubby, and had short brown hair," I explained.
"Oh, she got Goyle's face filled with boils, oh, I would've loved to see that."
After I finished telling my story the compartment door shaked and rattled.
"Angelina, I know you're in there, get out of there now!" Draco shouted. He sounded mad.
"Go away, Malfoy," Hermione screamed back.
I snickered as he left in a huff. Maybe I could get used to this.
>>>>> TO HOGWARTS CASTLE >>>>>
We arrived at Hogwarts a lot sooner than I had expected. Ron kept saying to me how amazing and brave I was to go against Goyle, especially with my relation to Draco. I could see Hermione getting redder and redder and her face showed nothing but anger. I decided to ask her about it when I actually got inside. It looked so big on the outside.
"First years and transfers!" a loud voice called out.
Harry ushered me on and I scrambled on with the first years, seeing a really tall man with a really thick beard and mustache, and the wildest mange of hair I've ever seen. Everything was getting so weird so fast I closed my eyes shut to make sure I wasn't dreaming. When I opened them again everything was still there. We got to a lake and I had to fit inside a boat with a wicked small first year. When I got inside the castle I couldn't believe how big everything was. I was led into a room with really long tables with a old guy on the other side. I watched everyone pile in. The old guy tapped his glass and everyone became quiet.
"I hope you all had a good summer. Now before we enjoy our wonderful feast, we will begin the Sorting. We will start with transfers first."
"Angelina Malfoy," a old lady called my name.
I slowly walked to the front and sat on the stool. She placed the hat on my head.
"Hmmm, Malfoy, obviously realted to Draco Malfoy, you have some bravery in you, not evil like your brother, very surprising," the hat said inside my head. I was starting to get mad that everyone was comparing me to Draco.
"Well, better be Gryffindor!" the hat shouted out loud.
No one clapped, no one congratulated me, everyone stared. Tears sprang to my eyes and I ran outside. It had started raining. I looked up to the sky. I was tired of the staring, tired of the comparisons of me and Draco, tired of the magic, I wanted to be normal. I was different than Draco. He has this. I didn't want any of this. I heard the doors shut. I turned around to find no one there. Then I saw my hair flying in the hair and gave out a shriek. Then I saw Harry's head. I almost let another shriek but he covered my mouth quickly.
"Are you okay?" he asked. I was still petrified over the fact that his head was floating in midair.
"What's the matter?" he asked.
"Your head, is floating in midair," I almost shouted.
"Oh, sorry about that."
"Why are you here?"
"Why are YOU here?"
"I'm tired of comparing me and Draco and usually it drives people away from me. This is all new to me. It makes me want to go back home and sing again."
"Wait, you're a singer?"
"Yeah, I had three albums back home, and all the fans, all the money that my family has, half of it comes from me."
"Why would you give your family your money?"
The door to the castle opened and the old lady hurried toward us.
"You two, get inside before you catch a cold this instant!" she yelled above the rain. Thunder rumbled the skies and I ran inside. Because of the pouring rain we were pouring wet and dripping everywhere.
"So, where am I going?" I asked. I had no idea what to do.
"We're going to our common room," Harry said.
"Where's that?"
Harry just chuckled to himself. "Just follow me,"
By the time we reached the common room I was so tired I could barely walk. I dragged myself to my bed (with thanks of Harry's help) and hoped I would be all right.
>>>>> THE NEXT MORNING >>>>>
The next morning I woke up to ice cold water drenching my face. I found Hermione standing over me with the bucket.
"What was that for?" I asked angrily.
She ignored me and ran to the bathroom with the same look on her face that I hated. Pure anger and hate.
"What's your problem?" I yelled at her.
"Oh, like you don't know," she snapped back.
"You mind telling me, cause I got no clue what's going on with you Hermione."
"That's bullshit! You do know. Just in case you don't know I like Ron. You were flirting with him, impressing him."
"What I never impressed or flirted with him."
"Oh, Angelina you're amazing and brave about how you covered Goyle's face with boils. I would've so loved to see that!"
"Well, Hermione I don't like Ron that way. I like someone else. As far as I'm concerned, he's free and could be all yours. If you got the right stuff."
Hermione quickly turned around and smiled mischieveously.
"A new style?"
I nodded.
"Can you work in twenty minutes?" she asked timidly.
"Please, I could do it in ten."
She sat down as I looked at her. Her bushy, wavy hair was a little frizzy, she had dark circles under her eyes, and every part of her body was drooped. There was no wonder why boys didn't go after her.
"Okay, I know what I'm going to do. Sit back, close your eyes, and relax," I said quietly.
After I had fixed her up, we both had ten minutes to get to breakfast, just like I said.
"Open your eyes Hermione," I whispered.
She couldnt't speak. She opened her mouth but nothing came out. All she could do was stare at her new self in the mirror.
"If it's that bad, then I'll try to put it back the way it was," I babbled. I was afraind Hermione would not like her new look when I was done.
"Redo it? Are you kidding me I love it!"
Her hair was straightened, there were no more dark circles under her eyes, and her excitement had gotten her body to stand up tall. Her eyes had a white shimmery eye shadow and her lips were soft pink.
"Ron will not be able to keep his hands off of you when you walk down those stairs," I said with a chuckle.
I had already gotten ready so we were ready to go. I made my way downstairs and saw Harry waiting for me and Hermione.
"Where's Ron?" I asked him.
"He's getting all dressed up for Hermione," he said. He looked like he was about to burst of laughter.
"Hermione's doing the same thing for Ron."
"No way."
I couldn't help staring into his deep green eyes. My body tingled with want and anticipation but held my distance.
"Are you okay?" he asked me.
"Yeah I'm fine." I shook myself clear and watched for Hermione. She was nowhere in sight. I ran up the stairs and saw her in a corner.
"Hermione, please you look great, Ron will totally fall in love with you," I encouraged, but she wouldn't budge.
"I can't do it," she whimpered.
"Hermione, I'm going to miss food, you're going to miss food if you don't get your ass down to breakfast."
Relunctantly she got up and slowly walked down the stairs. Now Ron was there and he had his mouth wide open after catching sight of Hermione. Me and Harry ran to breakfast, leaving Ron and Hermione alone to talk, or do other things. By the time we got there most of the food was gone. As me and Harry ate we compared our schedules. We only had one class together, Potions with Slytherins. The word was enough to make me vomit.
>>>>> TO POTIONS CLASS >>>>>
I loathed the walk down in the dungeons. Knowing my brother was going to be there made it ten times worse. I got lost and as I rushed through the door the professor, who was basically a large slime ball, glared at me with annoyance.
"How nice of you to join us Miss -"
He stared at his list and his glare turned into a look of surprise.
"MALFOY!" he sputtered out the word. "I was just assigning seats that will be permanent for the rest of the year, you can take the seat next to your dear brother."
I slowly took my seat next to Draco. A note had flew onto my desk. I opened it. Angelina, meet me at the Black Lake, there's something I want to show you - Harry Out of the corner of my eye I saw Draco peering at the note, trying to read it. I quickly hid it and put it in my new bag that I had decorated the other night.
>>>>> THE END OF POTIONS CLASS >>>>>
I couldn't wait to get out of the dungeons. It was basically a prison. And the way Draco smelled didn't help either. I walked with Harry out of there, but Draco caught me by my arm.
"I'll be right there Harry!" I yelled to him. I gave a last glance as he walked away.
"I knew it!" he had obviously seen my glance.
"Knew what?" I asked innocently.
"You like Potter, don't you?"
"What!" how he found out I had no clue.
"Well, Dad sent me a letter this morning. He said to keep a close eye on your friends. He also said to make sure that you stay away from Potter."
"Well, I don't care what Father says, he's not here. He can't tell me what to do and neither can you."
I turned to walk away but Draco was quicker. He grabbed my arm and spun me back around.
"Besides, there's someone I know that likes you, and believe me, he never gives up. He'll have you soon."
"Well, tell him I'm not interested. I got my eye on someone else."
I kicked his knee and ran outside. I saw Harry sitting on the bank. The sun was up bright so it was a good day to go to the lake, but there was barely anyone there. I rushed over and sat down next to him.
"Hey, I didn't think he would let you come," Harry said.
"I told him it wasn't any of his business who I see," I told Harry flatly.
After that we talked for a bit. About our families, our homes, our past. I seemed to open up around him so quickly I didn't realize that by the time we were done talking the sun was starting to set. Rustling came from the bushes, Harry stood up and walked over, then laughed. I ran over to see what it was. Ron and Hermione was making out, in the bushes. They quickly got out and blushed wildly. Then without saying a word, ran to the castle. Whille watching Ron and Hermione go, Draco staggered out, limping from where I had kicked him.
"I thought I told you not to come," he nearly yelled.
"And I thought I told you it wasn't any of your business who I see!" I yelled.
He pushed me hard. Then I pushed him so hard he fell on the ground on his back. Harry jumped in front of me.
"Look Draco, leave her alone, you have no -"
He never got to finish his sentence because Draco had punched his jaw and now he was on the ground. Now angry, I punched his stomach then kicked his leg, where I had kicked it last time. Taking my leg, Draco took me down and I fell, where my head hit a tree. I couldn't see anything, but heard yells and grunts. I attempted to open my eyes. They opened just enough that I could see Harry crouched beside me, as my world went black.
