Pulling out her keys, she headed over to her car. Billie a bit behind her, caught up to her calling out her name slightly out of breath. Ana, hold a sec. He took a breath Man youre fast.
"Huh oh sorry if I knew you were following I would have slowed down a bit."
"Right. So yeah I dont know where uh Hailey's house is so where should I go?" Ana slapped her forehead recalling that he was new after all.
"Right, right I forgot about that. You're the new kid. UmWell, I could pick you up actually, if that's alright with you. I'm not much for giving directions. It'll just be easier for me to get you and then take you there." Billie nodded, finding the plan sound.
"Alright then sounds good to me. Do you want me to be at any specific place or something?"
"Um, how about diner? I saw you there this morning so I know you know how to get there."
"The diner? Oh that place, yeah I know how to get there. Ok so I'll be there at?"
"Five?"
"Five sounds good." Ana smiled at him, not really noticing it herself, but was in fact a little more cheerful than usual.
"Kay sounds like a plan. I'll see you at five then." With a nod, he took a step back as Ana stepped inside her car and drove away. Watching her leave the parking lot and out to the street, Billie grinned to himself before heading over to his own car. Maybe new things arent so bad after all.
Not before long, five rolled along and Ana was pulling up to the diner's lot. She didn't bother to get out of her car figuring she's see Billie there already. As she predicted Billie flicked his cigarette to the ground as he spotted Ana driving up. Walking over he motioned to his car. "Will it be alright to leave my car here? They're not going to tow it or something right. Ana laughed shaking her head at his concern for his car.
"No sorry I doubt she's special enough for that." Feigning offense Billie huffed.
"So you say but I'll have you know that she's is, more so even."
"I'll have to take your work on that then."
"Good idea." He paused looking back at his car and then back to Ana.
"What?" She asked noticing the peculiar way he was looking at her.
"How'd you know it was a she?" The question got her off guard, shutting down the gears in her head as she stared back at Billie.
"What?" She was beginning to have more things in common with a broken record than she ever though she would.
"My car."
"Oh, simple don't all guys consider their cars female?"
"True." Billie affirmed nodding a little to himself.
"Besides it'd be a little weird if a guy considered his car to be male."
"Point taken." Cleared from all questions, he settled in Ana's car comfortably as if he had been in her car countless times before.
"I see you're ready to go."
"Oh yeah, I'm past ready. Hell I'm the definition of ready." Shaking her head at his stupidity, she backed out of the parking spot, smiling a little to herself.
"Good to know."

When they pulled up to the small apartment, they saw Greg waiting outside. He had an irritated looked plastered on his lean face. That particular look he only displayed for two reasons. One he had run out of beer or found out he wouldn't be getting any or two he was locked out yet again. Ana was leaning more towards reason two. Getting out of the car, they made their way to him, his expression not changing gin the slightest. "Why are you sitting out here?" Too bothered to look up he grunted what sounds like, "Locked out." Smiling to herself, Ana stifled her laughter. Yup number two. Although she was kind enough or at least in one of her rare moods to be kind enough not to laugh at her friend's plight, it didn't stop her smug look from beaming as she jangled a set of keys in front of him. "Problem solved."
"It's a miracle!" Billie chimed, raising his arms to the sky dramatically. Finding the right key, she unlocked the door. Greg made a face not wanting to say anything to that. It was already bad enough he was locked out but to lack a set of keys himself was too much. Billie laughed enough for Ana and perhaps the neighbors always as they went inside.
As if by magnetic force, both Billie and Greg waltzed over to the couch, plopping themselves down comfortably and grinning in total achievement. What that achievement was would be a mystery to the world but Ana just shook her head moving along to the kitchen. It was just one of those many wonders of the male mind that eluded her. Though she was sure, she'd live just fin without ever knowing. Grabbing three sodas, Ana ventured out of the simple yet quaint kitchen back to the living room where she found Billie sifting through a bunch of movies, reading off their titles and then tossing them aside as Greg nayed them one after the other.
"We're running out of movies here."
"It's not my fault Hailey has such a crappy selection."
"No I'd say it's more your fault for being so damn choosey." Ana interjected tossing a can to Greg ignoring his scowling face. Smirking she walked over to Billie, handing him his soda before pointing to a movie. "We'll watch that one."
"Says who?" Greg asked loudly.
"Says me."
"Who died and made you queen?"
"The bunny down the lane that's who. So shut up and deal." Rolling his eyes Greg opening his soda and took a large swig of the sugary drink ignoring Billie Joe's hearty laughter. Halfway through the movie Hailey arrived from work only to jump straight into the shower missing the entire movie.
"Well that defeated the whole purpose of the movie."
"Shut up Greg I needed a shower. I felt disgusting."
"I'm sure you did." Rolling her eyes at him, Hailey decided to just ignore his presence for a while. She could tell he was being difficult and she didn't want to make him any worse.
"So what do you guys want to do?" She asked shooting a look over at Greg who raised his arms in defense.
"I haven't said anything yet."
"Good."
"But" Hailey's eyes narrowed waiting for him to complain. "Relax Hailey, geez go take another shower or something." Disregarding her Greg continued with his unheard suggestion which ended up getting shut down as soon as the sentence left his lips.
"We're too young Greg." Ana reminded him. It was just like him to want to party already.
"We could sneak in." Billie suggested, two pairs of eyes looking over at him practically screaming 'you're not helping' while one stared back completely eager. "My cousin owns a place outside of the neighborhood. He could get us in easy. I've gotten in before."
"Seriously? You can get us into clubs?" Greg nearly jumped up, mouth ajar looking rather stupid yet excited.
"Only my cousin's club but yeah." Billie smiled.
"Alright! Sweet! I like you a lot, bro." Smiling Greg put his arm around Billie, making his as his newfound best friend. Laughing sarcastically, Billie pushed Greg's arm off his shoulder.
"Good to know, so how about it?"
"Sure Hailey said looking over at Ana who was nodding in agreement. Not bothering to call her parents, Ana passed her keys over to Billie Joe.
"Don't go crazy. I lose this car and I'm screwed for the year."
"Aye, aye, so no racing, no ditch jumping and no tree bashing. Easy enough."
"I change my mind, I'll drive." Reaching for the keys Billie pulled them away.
"I'm kidding relax." Skeptical Ana stared at him for a few seconds before consenting.
"Welcome to Shit-town USA," Ana jeered in fake enthusiasm as Billie pulled out of the driveway and down the street.
"Oh come on Ana," Hailey joked, "Pittsburgh isn't that bad." True Pittsburgh wasn't too bad, all in all. It was just this part of Pittsburgh that sucked. She had lived her on the outskirts of the city for as long as she could remember, perhaps too long. It didn't take long to get to the club, which only excited Greg more as he already planned for many future visits in his party filled head. There was a bouncer at the door asking for ID's resulting in Greg's sudden eagerness to deflate as he looked over to Billie Joe who had a calm air about him. Telling them to wait, Billie walked over to the bouncer passing a few words with him. With a curt nod, Billie Joe turned to the group flashing two thumbs up with the cheesiest smile Ana had ever seen. Shaking her head, something she seemed to be doing a lot lately, she wondered about his goofiness and hoped it wasn't too contagious. Following Hailey and Greg over to the entrance, she decided she didn't care; tonight they were going to go all out.
