I mean I have a temper but I'm usually really caring and nice - I even give up 10 hours a month to work with animals at the Humane Soceity! I'm fit but not really athletic but still, I'm one of the best ice-skaters in the world and almost qualified to go to the winter olympics three years ago! I get good grades that range in the 'A' zone except when it comes to math because I suck at it and I'm lucky to get a B+ (i usually get B-'s in math). There was also no denying that I wasn't ugly, I mean I wasn't super beautiful but I could atleast qualify as pretty with my very wavy light brown hair with natural blonde highlights and annoyingly dark green eyes. I even had a nice body for a seventeen year old although it didn't even come close to all the girls you see in the magazines. Also, there's the fact that I have a good voice although I never took lessons or joined a band or anything AND I was at the top of my drama class.
And yet I never understood why she didn't pick me.
My parents divorced when I was six and this resulted in a huge custody battle between then over me, Tiffany Eastwood, and my twin sister, Serena Eastwood. We looked exactly alike except her eyes sometimes seemed to have more of a..shine to them then mine did and her hair was blonde instead of brown. Anyways, back then, we were closer then close - she was my bestfriend and I was hers - so you can't even imagine the pain when it was decided that both my parents would move from New York. If you think that's bad then just try to imagine how much worse Serena and I felt when it was also decided that my mother could choose which one of us she wanted to live with her in California and the other would live with our father in Connecticut- she chose Serena.
I've seen Serena every summer since then but unfortunately, they we're no longer fun and carefree times around each other. Every time we visited one another, they'd be filled with akward silences and me silently cursing my mother for not fighting hard enough to keep us together. My father was great but sometimes I just needed a mother. Anyways, I did see Serena every summer up until last summer when she didn't come. She couldn't come - she was to busy on the set of some movie. Oh, did I forget to mention that part? Serena has been an actress ever since she was eight and let me tell you, she took the world by storm and has everyone eating from the palm of her hand. She's on U.S Weekly, Star Magazine, E!, MTV, Billboards, Fox, Guest Judges on American Idol, EVERYTHING!
Yes, I sometimes get mistaken for her and let me tell you it is so not cool when random people come up to you in the ice-cream line to ask for an autograph only to be very dissapointed when I tell them that I'm just her sister. Of course I was usually bombarded with questions about Serena but my bestfriends were surpsingly good at getting me out of these sorts of predicaments. Anyways, somehow the kids at school are to stupid to realise that Serena Eastwood's my twin sister and I am beyond thankfull for that. I hate being compared to my sister and I enjoy being my own person.
Anyways, I haven't seen, spoken, or talked to Serena since I was about to start my junior year and now I'm a senior. I'll be graduating in about nine months (it's October) and then it's off to college with me to leave my broken-family world alone. But until then...
...
"Sorry!" She screamed as she slammed her foot down on the breaks.
"OPPPHHH! Keira you should have let me drive!" Leah complained from the back of Keira's civic. Leah Shrane was my third best friend and she had long and straight, blonde hair to go along with her brown eyes that were often full of happiness and life. I had met her the seventh grade and she became one of my and the Blues' best friend ever since. She was really pretty and loved to dress up all girly and stuff which is extremely ironic considering that she is one of the best athletes in the county.
"Like I would ever let anyone ever drive my baby."
"It's a civic, Keir." I muttered as I rubbed my temples before the lights decided to turn green again.
"Well until we graduate then this is what I'm stuck with." She muttered. When we graduated her parents agreed to get her any car she wanted, she had the pick of the lot but until then she had this. My father had bought me and my sister both matching blue mini coupes for our sixteenth birthdays and from the papers of her in the magazines, it seems like she still loves hers and uses it...and then theres the fact that she can't spend her money until she turns 18 when she gets full rights to her bank account. Well, theres two other things we have in common.
"Where's your car, Tiff?" Leah questioned but pipped down immediately as she realized what a sore topic she had brought up. "I'm sorry, Tiffany."
"Don't even worry about it." I muttered. My car was currently at Jacob Sceams house. My now ex-boyfriend. I had found him cheating on me yesterday when I came by to hang out and found him making out with some girl in my history class. I ran outside and ignored him calling after me - it wasn't until I reached my car when I realised that I had left my keys on the table in the main hall and I couldn't just strut back in there and get it so I ran to the nearest Starbucks and got Keira to pick me up. Today at school Jacob had not showed up. Probably got some disease from kissing that skank..well, that what I was hoping for.
Rest In Results.
"Wow. My brother works fast." Keira muttered and I laughed before hugging them goodbye and after promising Keira that I would call her later on. I walked up to my front door and walked into the house before heading straight to my bedroom where I knew that Teryn would be awaiting me while he'd hold my keys smuggly and make me kiss him before deciding to hand them over. I walked up the stairs excited to have my car back.
"Thank you so muc-" I stopped in the middle of the sentence. Teryn Blues was deffidently NOT the one in my bedroom at the moment.
