You were floating everything around you felt warm and as you slowly came to fighting your way out of the dark fog that seemed to enclose you
"____.... Hey _____ are you ok?" Your eyes flickered opened slowly fluttering as you tried to adjust to the sudden assault of light on your eyes. You reached up, or rather tried to you were annoyed to find your arms wouldn't listen and stayed limp at your sides
"C-can't move..." you managed you head felt muddy and slow as if it was molasses that had been suck in a freezer. You glanced around as best you could as things slowly came into focus the first thing was Ashley who was watching you anxiously as if you had turned purple or something, the room you were in was a dull sandy colored walls several beeps filled the air and the smell of well cooked food filled your nose and stomach as well.
"Good morning sleepy head." You looked up your eyes meeting Leon's intense but slightly playful ones just seeing them shocked the feeling back into you and you felt his powerful arms wrapped around you
"What happened to me?" You asked shifting to sit up, you felt his grip tighten but it didn't seem Ashley had noticed his sudden determination to prevent you from moving
"Our English speaking friend shot you with a dart in it contained a sort of sleeping solution you dropped faster then a penny off a tower, how are you feeling?" he asked you thought for a moment and tried not to invasion Leon in a penny suit and how great it might feel to shove him off a tower and see how fast he fell. There was a dull pain in your stomach a gentle throb like you had to use the bathroom but didn't quite have the motivation for it.
"A little numb a little tingly as well but other then that I feel alright." You said he nodded and loosened his grip on you but as you sat up a wave of dizzy nausea hit you and you doubled over grasping your stomach tightly as you held back the urge to spew up everything you had eaten in you entire life. Leon caught you carefully as your grip tightened on your stomach you gasped out for breath as everything tightened it felt as if everything was balling up and your insides were ripping free so that they could ball up.
"______!" You herd the shout but the voice didn't register as black consumed everything again.
Leon grunted as you suddenly started thrashing, his arms tightening around you as your eyes rolled back in to your head till he could only see the whites. His inside went cold and he held you tightly, you body shaking and going into spasms as if you where having a fit. Ashley screamed, Luis as well as several women dashed in followed by another man in a white lab coat. The coat that hung open exposing a sloppy green sweater vest and an orange tie, he had slightly annoyed brown eye but when he saw you he immediately got his act together.
"Get her into the bed room." The man urged Leon lifted you carefully into his arms and followed the running woman into a white washed bedroom as he set you down on the bed the lab coat wearing man came in and began to rub his hands together while ordering the few people in the room to gather a few things before looking at Leon.
"What happened?" he asked sharply Leon shrugged
"I'm not sure she said she felt numb and a little tingly I figured she would be fine so I let her sit up but then she grabbed her stomach and looking like she was about to be sick..." he said. Their attention flew to you as an ear shattering scream ripped from your throat. The man grabbed your legs and barked an order for Leon to grab your shoulders. He did so and they held you tightly pinning you to the bed till you were unmoving, you scream dieing to soft whimpers of pain.
"I'm still examining the substance from the vile but for now I can't make any determination on what's wrong, for all I can tell she could be having a delayed allergic reaction to something you ate at the party." He said shaking his head a woman ran in carrying a bowl with warm water and following instruction set a steaming cloth over your eyes. Leon followed the man out frowning deeply
"Dr. Bowman isn't there anything you can do for her for now?" he demanded a glance cast back at the room his eyes fell on your still form before the door was shut. The man now identified as Bowman shook his head frowning
"Until I can identify the toxin in her blood I can't do a damn thing..." he said shaking his head and walking down the hall back to the main roof muttering something about a desperate need of coffee. Ashley looked up as Leon walked in Luis and looped and arm around her shoulders comfortingly patting her arm gently before following her gaze to his friend
"What's wrong with her!" Ashley demanded standing Leon only shook his head
"Bowman doesn't know, it could be what ever was in that vile, but it could also have been belated allergic reaction... he doesn't know." Ashley fumed and began to pace
"_____ Is the only girl who has ever looked at me seriously, I know she doesn't really like me, but at least she doesnt pretend she loves me and all of my decisions. She's made her dislike of me clear but she doesn't hate me, she tolerates my mistakes but she was never above telling me off if I really messed something up, she reprimanded me more then my own parents... she's my best friend I won't let some idiot man kill my friend!" she raged, she collapsed on the couch having run out of steam and with a sniff she buried her face in Luis' chest and wept. The man seemed a little surprised, ladies man or not he was just like any other man and such abrupt shift of emotions startled him just like any one else. He tentatively patted her back before looking at Leon
"What is the plan for now Amigo?" He asked Leon sighed and sat in a free arm chair and rubbed the bridge of his nose before looking at them, Ashley looked tired dark rings arched under her eyes and Luis looked no better
"For now I think we could all do with a nap and some time to recuperate and think... sitting around here worrying with no information is only going to hurt us in the long run." He said Luis and Ashley nodded. They stood and he offered to escort her to her room and she gladly accepted tempted by the thought of a shower and a safe place to sleep. Leon watched them go looking up when he felt a tingle on his neck, he was being watched.
"So, youre the man who saved her? I herd rumors that you were involved in the incident at raccoon city... my cousin lived there... she moved about a week before the incident took place." Leon smiled as Bowman spoke
"She was lucky." Bowman shrugged
"Yah, but a lot of people weren't... so these parasites... they have every one in charge then?" he asked Leon nodded and stood eyeing the coffee with interest Bowman smiled and jerked his head towards the door.
"You look like you could use it." He said seeming to fall into the doorway Leon followed as the man set his mug on the small dark table and poured another mug of the rich black brew.
"Thanks." Leon said with a weak smile before glancing around.
"So, this is your clinic... We're lucky you found us... believed us, I'm not sure what I would have done if she had done that before we found someplace safe." Bowman waved a hand and Leon fell silent
"It's just good you got here when you did... she showed no odd symptoms when she first woke up?" Leon shook his head
"Only the numbness and tingling." Bowman nodded sitting across from the American agent
"Well as I said before until I can figure out what it was she was shot with I won't be able to help her... even if I do figure it out... I can't guarantee I'll be able to provide her with the help she needs." He said pinching his nose his eyes squeezing shut as he tried to think of what could have caused you so have such seizure like symptoms. Leon frowned thoughtfully downing his coffee, part of his trying to assure the rest of him that it wasn't that he cared or anything, but you had helped them out and you were a good shot, you were to important to the team to lose to illness or disability... yah... like he believed that.

You shifted groaning slightly as pain coursed through your body, you couldn't remember why you hurt you first thought was one hell of a wild party... the fact you couldn't remember it probably meant you had drank to much... god you hadn't done that in forever, dad was going to kill you if he found out you had a hang over. Your eyes peeked open and were presented with a very unfamiliar white ceiling.
"Oh Shit!" You shoot up and pulled off the covers only to have your whole body freeze as pain ripped though you sending you back into the stiff mattress. Your cloths were still on, that was important, you were a cop, you couldn't let yourself fall victim to some date rape drug at a party. The door was pushed open and you peeked and eye open only to hiss and close it as the light made your head pound
"What are you now a vampire?" the voice was light but filled with relief, everything came washing back, the Parasites, Leon, the Spaniard, Leon, Ashley,... no not Leon again forget him arrogant him irritating him... Leon... anyway.
"No not a vampire just very tender..." you muttered. You could almost hear her smile as she sat on the bed and set a gentle hand on your forehead, the tender gesture made you pause
"Who are you and what have you done with the president's daughter?" You mumbled she laughed again and pulled her hand away probably realizing how out of character the gesture had been.
"We were worried, you've been out for a while, Dr. Bowman says he isn't sure what's wrong but the vile had some funny toxin in it... he'll explain once you get cleaned up, I told him you might be up for a shower you haven't bathed in at least a day." She said waving a hand in front of her face as if waving off a pungent smell you grabbed her wrist and nodded
"Yah alright I get it, take a shower I'm going." You said standing though in truth it was difficult but when Ashley offered help you just batted away her hand and asked her to lead you to the bath room she did so and your knees almost buckled in relief some one had already drawn a warm bath and a thick white towel was set out. Ashley seemed slightly confused but you didn't care shooing her out the door. As soon as it closed you began to undress your eyes kept flicking to the warm water, You could already feel it soothing your aches... the wonders of steam. Just as you began to step into the top the door opened.
