Life is full of unexpected surprises. Good, and bad. That's what makes us who we are; how we deal with these sudden changes. Do we even like change? Or do we prefer to keep everything the same for as long as we can? Well, it wouldn't matter. If destiny has rewritten a part of your future, then that is how it has to be.
I know this, because it happened to me, most drastically. A sudden surprise arrived at my feet that shocked to me to the near point of insanity. It's true. A few times I felt myself slipping, either as I cradled myself like a lost child in that dingy prison cell, or as I collapsed in the fairy's magic forest and pined for my new found love, and even as I awoke to find myself aboard a supposedly myth-made Pirate ship. A plenty of times did I feel like giving up. But my faith... my hope... it gave me the strength I needed to keep going.
I was once a Princess. Princess Ara Cordelia Meriden of D'Endhar, daughter to King and Queen Meriden. But a man seeking deep revenge inflicted such pain upon us all, and threw me out into the gutter, literally. As I said before, when cradling myself in that prison cell which I was doomed to call 'home' for what seemed the rest of my apparent miserable life, I felt like giving up. But, like many other times throughout my story, some element or form of faith managed to find me, and pick me back up again. That's what my story is all about.
Faith.
How it can literally keep you alive.
And I would like to share it with you. I went on the wildest journey of a lifetime just to get back to the woman who brought me into this ambiguous, mysterious world. The only member of my family left alive: my mother. I wish to share with you my struggles, successions, amazements and progressions. Emotions that I had never felt before. Anger, so strong, I feared it would eat me alive. Sorrow, so deep, I thought my heart would die of ache. And love, so true, and something I had always been so unsure of my entire life. All of it. I wish to show you.
I remember the last thing I said to the man who brought all of this misery upon us... and I know he'll never forget, either:
"I've been a Princess, a criminal, a trophy, a bar girl, a pickpocket, a slave worker, a stunt girl, a maid, a fairy child, a messenger and a pirate... and I stand before you now, as none of those... but all of them, together... I stand before you now, as a solider, to avenge my father, King Meriden, and save my mother, Queen Meriden. I, Ara Cordelia Meriden, Princess of D'Endhar, have come for my revenge... and I will set things right."
And all of you, reading this, will know exactly what happened. How I was turned from a Princess, to a pauper... into a soldier.
You like the sound of it?
I assure you, there will be plenty of action, emotions, shocking cliff-hangers, and of course the romance that Quizilla seems to be over-flowing with.
I hope you are interested in reading ^^
Happy quizilling,
