I walked out of my bathroom, there was paper super-glued to the mirrors and writing on the paper. Areiana always did my make up for me, I didn't like mirrors. I looked down at myself. Today I had decided would be Pink Day and I went all out. From my bright pink slip on's to my temparily dyed pink hair. I walked downstairs. My mom was doing dishes and she was being loud about it. The clattering was too much for me. I covered my ears and sat in the middle of the hall,"STOPITSTOPSITSTOPIT" I screamed and she looked over at me.
"Honey I'm sorry!" She ran over to me and hugged me. I stopped crying and pulled away from her. I didn't like it when people touched me.
The doorbell rang, I jumped up and smiled, running over to it and throwing it open. "AREIANA!" I yelled, jumping up and down. She smiled and walked into the house. I handed her the eyeliner and eyeshadow; she was done a few minutes later and we went outside to wait for the schoolbus. Areiana was the only person I talked to anymore unless they made me mad. I let my appearance speak for me. "Freak." Someone yelled out their window as they drove past us. I cast my eyes to the ground. "COCKLICK!" Areiana yelled after them and I giggled. "Aqua, ignore them." She said and I nodded as we sat down on the grass that was our bus stop.
"Fuck." Areiana said as she pulled out her lighter and it wouldn't work, I pulled out mine and handed it to her, she smiled and lit her ciggerette ((mmm I spelled that wrong I think)), taking a deep breath and blowing the smoke into my face. "Mmm thanks Areiana." I stated sarcastically and she smiled. "You're welcome baby." She said and then we sat there, Areianna smoking, and me thinking about nothing in particular. We weren't exactly the most popular, or liked at all, kids in the world. As a matter of fact I was the school freak and people liked starting rumors about Areiana being a whore, or a lesbian, or some other dumb shit like that. You'd be surprised how mean sixteen and seventeen year olds can be mean, even fucking freshmen put us down.
The bus pulled around the corner down the street and Areiana out her ciggerette on the bottom of her shoe, as we both stood up.
"Ignore them okay?" She told me before we got on the bus, I nodded and followed her.
"Freak!" Someone yelled when I got on the bus."LOSERRR" Another taunted. "SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKING CUNTS!" Areiana said, she was getting mad; I didn't want her to get mad...I always ruin everything. "It's okay...they're right." I said quietly when we sat down. "THEY'RE NOT FUCKING RIGHT YOU DON'T NEED TO PUT UP WITH THIS SHIT!" She yelled, standing up and throwing anything she could get her hands on.
I started crying. "Stopitstopitstopitstopit." I said quietly and to myself, rocking back and forth. Areiana noticed and she sat down and hugged me. "No Aqua I'm sorry, it's okay." She whispered and I nodded. She was literally the reason I hadn't killed myself yet, she was the only one allowed to touch me;;she was the only one who I talked to.
Let me explain this to you so maybe you can understand it a little better, okay? I'm crazy. Areiana-she's crazy. For the most part people have figured it out; I mean come on you'd have to be stupid not to.
I pulled out MP3player and gave Areiana one of the headphones, turning it on. At first it started to play some crappy song, I immediatly switched to something we both liked, [=)] Fersure by The Medic Droid. She smiled at me and I turned it up, leaning my head against the cold of the schoolbus window. I sighed and mouthed the words to the songs. About twenty minutes later the bus filled up with a bunch of other teenagers who thought me and Areiana were weirdos. Whatever;fuck them.
As we pulled up to the front of the school and people rushed to get out of the bus me and Areiana waited, well I waited and she was such a good friend she waited with me. I couldn't walk in front of people like line wise it was one of the many things I couldn't do.
We finally got off the bus and I walked over to the tree where our other friends were sitting, even though they were my friends I still only talking to Areiana. "Hey Aqua!" Said Sandy and I nodded in her direction and started picking at the grass. Areiana sat down a minute later and I threw a half smile in her direction. She smiled back and started small conversations with the people around us until the bell would ring, signalling us to get into our classrooms. It did ring soon after we arrived and we all stood up and shuffled to where we needed to be.
"What a loser." I Heard someone say and I looked down at the floor and forced myself not to cry. How can they talk about me like that? They don't even know me.
"Areiana Kessler?" The substitute standing in the front of the room. "Here." Areiana said, raising her left hand from under the table. "Aqua Keith?" He asked looking around, I looked up at him. He said my last name. "Keith? Anyone with the name Keith?" He asked again and I slowly raised my hand, sending him a death glare. "Are you Mrs. Keith?" He asked and I nodded. "Thank you and I meant Ms. Keith." I put my hand down because it was shaking;;how could he say it so carelessly?
Half an hour later he was asking questions to the class and I was tapping my pen against my hand liking the weird noise it made. "Ms. Keith?" The teacher asked and I didn't move.
That wasn't my name.
"Ms. Keith?" He said louder, I think he was moving closer to me. "Aqua Keith?" He said, setting his hand on my shoulder. I jumped and screamed. He jumped back. "Don't touch her!" Areiana said who was sitting next ((nekst =])) to me. He looked at her. "Why not?" He asked and I looked up at him, my heart was already racing.
"Because." Was all Areiana said, the teacher seemed like he was getting mad. So he started yelling. "What's going on here?" He asked in a raised voice, I out my head down and hummed to myself, I didn't like it when people fought. "SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO LET YOU TOUCH HER YOU FUCKING PERV!" Areiana said, punching him. He staggered backwards and then got up. "I have to write you up now." He said and she looked at him. "I DON'T FUCKING CARE." Then she started throwing papers, and overturning desks. He had made her mad. He ran out of the room, I pulled my knees up to me and cried into them, wishing the loud noises would stop. Twenty minutes later some people in white coats came and took her out of the room, they gave her a shot that calmed her down first though, and she passed out right there in front of me.
"Aqua would you like to go into the bathroom and wash your face?" The man asked and I nodded, I just needed to get away from here.
I walked out with my hands awkwardly stuffed into my pockets. I walked to the bathroom and sat behind the door, keeping in closed with my foot so no one else could get in. "You ruined everything." I mumbled rocking back and forth and hugging myself. I sobbed in the corner. I stood up about ten minutes later and walked over to the mirror, I looked into it and saw the girl who ruins everything. "YOU RUIN EVERYTHING YOU FUCKING LOSER!!" I screamed, I wanted her to hurt;I wanted that girl to die.
I screamed and brought my fist to the mirror. "YOU RUIN EVERYTHING!" I I screamed again and started hitting it over and over again until my hands were raw and bleeding. People walked in after I had lost all energy and was laying on the floor, next to all the little shards that had come off with my feeble punches.
I turned to a larger then most shard next to my face, the people were giving me a shot too. "You...ruin...everything..." I whispered as my world went away into a restless sleep I wouldn't wake up easily from.
