Alex could not have believed how perfect everything at that moment felt to her. She couldn't stop kissing Amir or staring at the ring on her finger. It was as if she had finally gotten her immortal fairytale. People were crowded around the two of them but neither of them could see any of them. With each kiss she was sure that they would eventually float off the floor. Heather tapped her on the shoulder bringing her back to reality. "Your turn for the surprise," she whispered in her ear. Alex grinned remembering the dress. Amir looked confused and she just shook her head saying she would be right back. Without another word she appeared in her room and quickly changed into her little black dress. Heather walked in with a small black tiara which she placed on Alex's head as a last touch. "Perfect. Now you look like a princess," Heather smiled hugging her tightly before leaving the room.
Alex stood in front of the mirrow for a few minutes looking at herself. She certainately had changed a lot in a year. She had lost one life and was given a magical one. Taking a deep breath she reappeared by the door. The room was hushed as an announcement was made, "I would like to introduce to you for the first time," Alex stepped into the doorway feeling everyone's eyes instantly on her, "Your very own Immortal Princess!" Cheers erupted as Alex slowly walked down the stairs trying her best to look calm. She found Amir in the crowd and smiled when she saw the look on his face. His jaw looked like it was glued to the floor as he just stood there staring. Grinning she tried to look as seductive as possible and walked towards him, hips swinging all cat-like. "What's wrong my prince?" Alex purred as she stood in front of him. He seemed to gain some of his composure back, "And I thought you hated two stitch dresses? Or is this a surprise for me?" She played shy looking away laughing. He pulled her close to him and caught her off gaurd when he gave her a very fierce kiss. She thought as a vampire she would have unimaginable strength but that still didn't help her knees from growing weak right then. "Why what's wrong my princess?" he smirked knowing how under his control she was. Alex pulled away gasping for air as if her lungs all of a sudden needed it. "Come my love. Let's not waste the music," Amir tugged her back out into the crowd for another heated dance.
**Next Day**
Alex awoke in his arms the next morning. She had tiny bite marks all over her body which last night had felt like heaven. They were healing quickly and she smiled thinking of more to come. "Now what are you all smiley about my dear?" Amir said pulling close for a warm hug. "I feel like I've jumped into one of those fairytale books. I just cannot get over how perfect everything is now. You, this place, it can't all be real. I keep thinking that any minute I'm gonna wake up and I'll be back in my old boring life." He kissed her softly on the lips wrapping an arm around her waist securely. "Trust me, Alex. This is real and I'm not ever going to let you go." He held her face in his hand for a moment just staring deep into her eyes. She smiled nodding and laying her head down on his chest. She didn't get to lay in that position for long because Amir playfully picked her up and threw her on the bed. She squeeled as she landed on the soft pillows.
"Now you're gonna get it!" She said diving at him knocking him onto the floor. He easily flipped her over pinning her arms above her head. "Surrender?" he growled softly in her ear. She just responded by kissing him which made his grip loosen.
She broke the kiss and started laughing only to seconds later start writhing on the floor. He sighed picking her up and taking her to the kitchen. After her morning glass of blood she felt instantly better. "So what shall we do?" she asked after gulping down the blood. "Well I actually have to leave to go to Vampire Castle. Its where my parents live," she stared at him confused and a little put down, "Well they have to know about the wedding silly." She nodded hugging him tightly not wanting to let go. He laughed, "I'll only be gone for a day or two my love." She acted like she was about to faint, "But love that will be two days too long. Who knows how i'll survive." They both grinned and stepped outside. Ayane and Dante were sitting outside as well on a little swing. It was clear that they were a bit preoccupied with kissing eachother to notice Amir and Alex approaching. When Dante did he jumped up to his feet, "I-I'm sorry..." "Nothing to appologize for," Amir cut in which made dante relax slightly, "I just needed to inform you that I'm taking a little trip for a couple days and that you will be in charge. Zane has gone on an assignment so he'll be busy for a little while. Think you can handle it?" He looked surprised to have heard that with his own ears. A vampire putting a human in charge! "Yes sir." He stammered. "Good," Amir said clapping him on the back, "Because you do know that entails keeping both of these lovely ladies safe?" He nodded not looking at Alex. Leil's barking startled all of them. He was up on Alex's balcony whining and barking wanting to be part of the group. Alex smiled and immediately got him. He licked her face excitedly and then ran around the yard crazily. She felt bad that she had been too preoccupied with Amir to really pay much attention to him or Prince. Thinking of Prince she looked over at the paddock and saw him lazily rolling on the ground. She shook her head smiling ~Well at least he's not feeling neglected~ she thought.
Amir wrapped his arm around her waist snapping her out of her thoughts. She looked up at him and smiled leaning against him. "How long will you be gone?" she whispered hating for having to say it out loud. He kissed her forehead gently, "Not long, love. Just a week, perhaps two. It'll take some time to fill my parents in on what's going on and to make plans for the wedding." She nodded glancing over to where Dante and Ayane had been but they had already wondered off while she was deep in thought. "Why don't we go on a walk?" he suggested tugging her along, "Its such a beautiful day and it would be a shame to waste it." They laced their fingers together and walked across the lawn hand in hand. Leil yipped and followed by close at their heels. He was definately happy for having so much room to run around in. It was nice to just walk beside eachother. They didn't say anything for nothing was needed to be said. It was enough just to soak in the moment of being together, as if they were trying to store it somehow for when they would soon be apart. They stumbled upon a small clearing with a bubbling hot pool in the middle on it. "This is secret place," Amir said smiling, "a place for if I needed to just get away and relax."

He took her hand and led her over to the water. Kicking off their shoes they dipped their feet in the water and all was silent except for the breeze rustling through the trees. He pulled her close and she rested her head on his shoulder. "Amir," she whispered, "Why do you want to marry me?" He looked down at her in confusion. "Well you already have me for forever. All the vampires I've been talking to say that they've never heard of vampires getting married. So why now?" The silence set in for a few moments as he tried to pick his words meaningfully. "Alex, you know that it still upsets me that you had to be changed by force. I had wanted you to live a little longer and experience more as a human," he stared deep into her eyes sadly, "I just couldn't bare to take any more from you. To a human getting married is a magical day, one that they dream of their whole life. I don't want you to have to give something like that up." Tears welled in her eyes and streamed down her cheek. Wrapping his arm around her shoulder he gently stroked her cheeks, wiping away her tears.
Tilting her chin up he kissed her gently, the kiss tasting salty from her tears. Pulling away he stared down into her eyes and a deep sigh escaped his lips. The stars were bright in the sky right now with a beautiful full moon to make things feel even more magical. The night sky reflecting in her eyes was so entrancing that he could not dare to look away. "Alexandria Lillian Jackson, I will love you always and forever. In this world of darkness you are the star that lights up my world. I want to spend forever proving that I am worthy of someone as beautiful, loving, and devine as you are." She let out a sob and put her head against his chest. He rubbed his hand on her back soothingly until she quieted. He pulled her into his arms and gently teleported them back to their room. She caught a glimpse of her face in the mirror and grimaced. Her eyes had become all red and blotchy from her tears and her hair was a ragged mess. She felt him wrap his arms around her waist pulling her close. "You'll always look beautiful to me," he purred softly in her ear. She melted at his words as he turned her around for another captivating kiss. He tugged her onto the bed and wrapped his arms around her securely. They broke the kiss slowly and she stared up at him smiling. Sighing she snuggled closer on his chest and closed her eyes.
