Final Fantasy 7.::.Advent Children.::. Open Your Mind//Spread Your Wings// 1:.

Reiko stayed silent as she felt the warmth of the life stream slither all around her like many small snakes. It was warm, yet at the same time her body was freezing, as if the life stream was stealing her very essence of life.

Here, in this place, she couldn't think straight. The only thing that kept her mind separated from the other souls wondering the life stream was the words that kept repeating in her head, the questions.

'Why didn't you listen?'

Her eyes snapped opened, a bright green Mako color showing, her irises were slanted into that of a cats. Her eyes remained wide with fear as the question repeated itself, yet again.

'Why didn't you listen?'

Her eyes let out solitary tears as she thought back the answer, her eyes slowly falling back into rest.

'Because….I lo--.'

She smiled, her lips curving into a tiny curve, soft green liquid flew from the corner of her lips and onto the life stream. Her body felt like a piece of paper, a small feather stuck in between a hard breeze. every time the green liquid dripped from her mouth, a memory fell from her sight.

&

A young Reiko stood close to the life stream that circled a small blue and green planet. She stood on top of an isolated piece of life stream, watching that very green planet. Her silver hair swayed with in the movement of the silent milky way, her bright green and blue eyes shined brightly with amusement. As she stood, the small isolated life stream reached up to kiss her knee's lifting the pure white kimono from her soft pale skin. Her eyes quickly widened as she saw the life stream sway, another bright white light floating into its atmosphere. Reiko's lips formed into an 'o'. Her arms swiftly shooting out , as if to grasp the planet into a tight embrace. When she saw that she had stayed still, and she hadn't budged, she became disappointed.

"My wish will remain a far off dream. I want so badly to visit this planet. To see what creatures live out

there, what kind of people….I'm tired of being alone."

Her words faded into the darkness of space and into the ears of the small stars. Each brightened as if to say

'Please don't be sad Reiko, just wish harder!'.

Quickly Reiko's legs gave way and she fell into a criss-cross fashion, her hand shot up to support her chin, She looked like a pouting child.

Reiko liked it up here, but sometimes beauty wasn't enough to fix the loneliness she felt. She let her mind wonder, small meteor showers washing down behind billions of stars. She sighed, half irritably and half depressed. She wanted to cry, the need to cry from all the other years bottling up, getting ready to explode. She brought her legs up to her chest and rested her forehead on her knee's. Small sobs escaped her small frame, which shook. No tears were evident on her knee's, nothing but one solitary tear, if that's what you would call it.

This tear , it wasn't like any other tear. It was made of a fragile glass and in the glass little swirls of blue and green enveloped each other, this little swirl was of the life stream. Reiko's head slowly lifted from its position and she watched as the small tear fell from her cheek and onto the floor, it instantly shattered and the small life stream inside exploded, and escaped to join the other life stream.

"Reiko?"

She gasped as she was startled, something soft and warm had been placed on her shoulder, turning her neck she caught a glimpse of her friend.

He had the same colored eyes and hair. In the front of his hair were two long strips that reached his waist when standing. The rest was straight and remained settled with in the small of his back, and traveled in straight waves down to his ankles. His hair was just the same length as Reiko's. They could have been considerer twins. The silver haired woman smiled at the man standing behind her. His chin rested on her chin and his arms had encircled her into an embrace.

"What is it Kai?"

He smiled , his breathe trapping itself behind Reiko's ear, his hold on her tightened.

"Reiko , why do you always sit here and cry. Why do you envy this planet?"

She remained still, then after awhile she turned her head back towards the planets view. She didn't want to face her friend while asking him this simple yet unrightfully question.

"Kai, why are we born?"

His grasp on her slackened, but only for a few seconds before they were back in their tight embrace.

" To live…Why do you ask such questions. Reiko it makes me sad when I have to see you like this."

There was silence, Reiko could feel the feeling of guilt swarming her insides.

"I just wanted to know."

She had whispered it so softly, but even though it vibrated off of the stars empty space. His grip on her slackened, he had pushed himself away from her body.

"I know you. This is not like the Reiko I know at all. Something's bothering you, please tell me what it is."

She shook her head, her silver locks swishing and sending small clouds of green and blue out.

" No, No, I was just wondering, really I'm okay, I was just curious."

She inwardly groaned, even to her , the way she had said it , made her words sound fake, false, like an ugly lie. The weight and the warmth invaded her back again.

"Come on Reiko, please tell me."

She sat still, and for awhile contemplated if she should tell him. Quickly deciding that now was the best time, she jumped to her feet and pointed towards the green and blue planet. The one that the life stream had been surrounding, the one where the small balls of lights came from.

"Don't you wonder what's out there!? I mean…"

She stopped, noticing she was being to strong about this, her enthusiasm quickly left.

" Don't you wish you could see all the different objects that were placed on that planet."

Kai stared at his friend, he looked down and for the first time, he simply shrugged.

" I never really thought of leaving this place. I'm happy here and for me, that's all that matters. Besides what's to say that all that planet truly has is nothing but rock and dirt?"

Reiko looked down, the beautiful lights that surrounded this planet had to be some sort of evidence that there was so much more and what about the small voices she had heard? Turning away from her friend , she let her head slide to her chest to whisper something under her breathe.

"..but I'm not…"

It did no good, everything that was being said, no matter at what velocity, reached her friends ears. He grabbed her arm and turned her to face him, the expression of wonderment, curiosity, and fright evidence.

"Why not?!"

His voice held no anger. She smiled sympathetically at him.

"Kai, everything here is so beautiful, but at the same time so dull and
lifeless. I want so much more, I love it here but-"

"But nothing, Reiko you know very well why we can't leave this place. If you set foot outside, even for a minute away from the life stream you'll die. The life stream is our lives essence."

"I know that Kai."

Kai gave his friend a toothy grin, trying his best to lighten the mood, he let her arm go.

"Yes, and with out the life stream you'll get old and die! At least that's what mother used to say."

Reiko looked at him, her eyes softening, the green in her eyes intensifying. The memories of her mother, his mother, everyone filling her mind. Wiping away the thought of her mother she looked intensely at Kai.

"Is that so bad?"

"I guess-"

He shook his head from such a thought.

"-Of course it is!"

The silver haired girl smiled, and looked back towards the green planet. Her eyes glowing a pure light blue. Kai groaned inwardly, he hated seeing her like this, so sad. Smiling towards himself he thought through a few ideas to make her happy.

//She seems to really want to see this planet. It'd make her happy, but at the same time it could put her in danger. Should I risk it? If she stays here for much longer she will be endangered. //

He gave an unnoticeable nod.

//Then it's settled, I'll allow her to go, taking one of the life streams Materia, Then she'll be right back home!//

"Reiko!"

The girl jumped, for her friends voice was filled with determination and strength. She looked at him as if he had just grown a second head.

"Yes?"

"I have decided. I'll allow you to visit this planet."

She looked at him astonished, and with out warning threw herself at him in a huge glomp. She smiled happily, her stomach doing hyper flips.

" Thank you Kai! You're the best!"

She stopped suddenly, her expression slowly changing to that of confusion. She pulled herself away from her friend.

"But how will I get there?"

He smiled , moved back and snapped his fingers, the soft fabric of the kimono shaking with his movement.

" I have an old family jewel, my mother gave it to me."

Suddenly a red jewel appeared with in his hands. Reiko's Mako eyes lit up.

"You really aren't lying, are you?"

"No, but, in return you have to come back, safely, and unharmed, no matter what, you hear me."

She smiled, really not catching the emphasized part of 'no matter what'. She jumped up and down, her kimono following closely to her movement , her hair following suite.

"Of course."

Kai smirked.

"Just to make sure you do stay safe…"

He reached into the back of his kimono and shuffled around, in a few seconds his hands were back to being in front of Reiko's face. In his palm was a small ball. The silver haired girl looked at it, enchanted by its beauty. Just like her tear, mixed with swirls of bright green and blues. Clear with two deep indenting in it, the small gleam showed that the indenting were that of small wings.

"Wow, this is…"

"This is a piece of the life stream that surrounds our home. This will regenerate you, keep you from aging, you know all the good things to keep you safe. Also it'll allow you to change."

This part caught the girl in complete surprise.

"Change?"

He looked perplexed for a moment, then confused, then realization beamed on him. Quickly he snapped his finger with his free hand.

"That's right we never reached that part of your training. You'll have to find this out on your own eventually, or I'll teach it to yah when you get back."

She smiled, her lips curving into a huge smile.

"Okay!"

She eyed the ball again, the small swirls catching her attention and hypnotizing her. She gripped onto the small red stone Kai had given her earlier. Looking at him, she asked him one question that had been bugging her.

"So what do I do now?"

Kai grinned.

"This is the best part, you wish!"

"Wish?"
"Yeah, oh and make sure to tell me how it goes!"

Reiko smiled and nodded. She held the stone to her heart and the other ball, which Kai had shoved into her hand unconsciously , she placed with in the front part of her kimono. Looking back up she caught a glimpse of her friend. She gave him a smile and a small wave. He grinned and with out a warning, Reiko could feel the air around her dense. She closed her eyes and wished as hard as she could.

//I want to go to the planet, I need to go.//

With her last words echoing with in her mind she felt something zoom underneath her. Opening her eyes she noticed something, glass walls, her gaze fell to the floor, glass. She was inside a glass ball, just like the one Kai had given her. The wings were indenting on the side , the swirls inside just clearer and less feverish. Reiko got on her knee's and placed her hands on the glass facing her friend. He smiled, a sad smile.

Suddenly, right where the indenting were, wings were, white feathers sprouted and with out warning they fluttered and Reiko was out of Kai's vision. The force had pushed her back, but she hurriedly had stumbled to get back to her position. Her face quickly lightened as she wisped by the many sightings. Already she was thinking Kai with in her mind for allowing her to come.

After awhile she had reached closely to the planet, so close she could see the land and the water. She held her breath as she saw everything, many happy emotions running through her system. She was finally close enough to see the land better. It soon came to a desert like land. Reiko smiled, she had never witnessed nothing like this. Her smile grew into a cheesy smile.

The ball had continued to descend , The silver haired girl was to enchanted to notice that the ball was slowly dissipating. It was when partial of her foot started to slide through the bottom that she noticed, she quickly started to panic. Although the ball had been getting lower and lower to the ground, she was still a ways off. The ball disappeared, not even giving Reiko a second thought. She fell out, a surprised look crossing her face. She held her breathe and turned so that her back was facing the floor. She looked up at the sky, it was grey, everything about this sky was different. The air, the temperature. With out even realizing, Reiko slammed into the dirt, small particles of the substance falling over her. All around her, sand, dirt, it all was around her. Whether in the air or on the ground. She laid there in the sand and breathed deeply, her eyes remained on the grey stained sky. Slowly she closed her eyes, and the last thing she felt was the warmth of the crystal ball in her kimono.

Somewhere Else

Three men drove onto a cliff that overlooked most of the deserts distance. They all looked down and across to where the ruins of a city laid. The man with the long hair looked towards a boy, the youngest in the group, with shoulder length silver hair.

"Hey, Kadaj, is that where big brother lives?"

The boy smiled, almost like an evil smirk.

"Yeah."

He chuckled.

"Do you think he'll be happy to see us?"

The one with long hair seemed to be asking all with out emotion. The smaller one laughed.

"Not a chance."

The long haired man looked back at the city, the sound of a vehicle evident. This one, was named Yazoo, while the youngest was named Kadaj and lastly the eldest, of the bunch was Loz.

Kadaj smirked and the other two brothers exchanged looks, each signaling for something. With in seconds their own vehicles were growling, growling into a certain direction.

From Kadaj's point of view he could make out the figure of his 'brother'. A blonde man, on a similar vehicle as the others.

'Cloud.'

In the distance, where the two brothers had reached the new figure, a fight broke out. Creatures of some sort attacking Cloud, the blonde man and new comer. It all went out so fast. The man took out a large sword, also known as his Buster blade, and readied himself for defense. The creatures came at him from above on all sides, he quickly deflected their attacks and twirled around to a stop to face the silver haired men.

Kadaj was busily talking on his phone. Smiling and smirking while speaking to some stranger on the other line.

Yazoo sent out a final attack, Clouds glasses blown off by Yazoo's bullet. It took awhile for the small pain to subside. He looked up and saw the man smirking.

BAM

The sound of an explosions brought the man from staring at each other. Kadaj turned to stare, mountains of dirt flying above in the air. Grinning he threw his brothers a glance, and quickly mounted his bike. Taking off.
"Bye-bye big brother."

Yazoo said as he also turned towards his departing younger brother. Cloud stood confused as the last of the silver haired men left. He was relieved, but at the same time, not. That explosion could be important. Slowly thinking through it, he grunted and mounted his bike in the direction where the men had taking their leave.

Kadaj's POV

Kadaj and his brothers were now in view of a small crater, the cause of the dirt flying everywhere. The three sped up, hoping that this somehow had to do with mother.

When the vehicles reached the spot where the crater covered a large portion of the land, they uncounted their bikes and slowly , each brother advanced towards the crater. Kadaj looked down into it, inspecting it.

"Yazoo, Loz."

The older sibling didn't even need a second word, quickly they jumped in. When they reached the bottom of the hole, the felt the coolness of the sand.

"Brother!"

Loz exclaimed, Yazoo's head quickly snapped into his direction. Loz was pointing at a young girl. A girl who was centered in the middle of the crater. She was about the age of Kadaj, her small body structure showed that. What amazed both brothers was the beauty that she possessed. The girl started to awake.

Normal POV

Reiko was slowly waking up. She felt the whole impact in her head, it throbbed painfully. Slowly her eyes blinked away the small particles of sand, making her eyes water, but not enough to make it look like she was crying. When her vision was clear she looked up and was met with the faces of two men. Both with silver hair. Her mind stayed foggy as she stared at them, with in the few seconds her mind cleared and the first thing that came to mind was the small glass ball. What if she had broken it?

Her hands searched hurriedly through the front of her kimono. When she felt the cool glass she pulled it out and stared at it.

Yazoo looked with amazement.

"Look what she has Loz."

Reiko quickly looked up and met the eyes of the one known as Yazoo, the one that had spoken. She gave the men a groggy smile and slowly pushed herself to her feet. Dusting herself off, She made sure everything was in tact. When everything was fine, she turned towards the men.

"Hello, my names Reiko!"

She walked up to Yazoo, a little wary, yet excited to be meeting more people. She held out her right hand, her kimono sleeve falling over her fingers. Her left hand had been placed over her chest protecting the small glass ball. The man with long silver hair looked confused.

"Sister?"

The girl took her hand back, she knew that word, her mother used to say it.

"Huh, no, I'm not related to you."

She nervously chuckled. The man shook his head to the side.

"My names Yazoo, and that's Loz."

Reiko smiled and gave a nod.

"That's nice, where am I?"

Yazoo didn’t say anything instead he grabbed Reiko's wrists and jumped from the hole, Loz following behind. The girls eyes were shot open with surprise., until they closed then shot back open when she felt the ground. She looked to her front and saw another silver haired man. Blinking once or twice she took their appearance in again.

"Wow, do all people look like you?"

She rubbed her temples and glanced towards the short haired man, he was smirking, this sent a shiver of unknown fear through Reiko.

"It seems that mother has sent us a sister."

Yazoo looked up at Reiko and so did Loz. Loz smiled and put his hand on her head, rubbing her head and making her hair frizz a small bit.

"Welcome to the pack Sister, are you gonna help is find mother?"

Reiko was confused.

" Mother, huh, I'm not related to either of you, so why would I be looking for you mother? "

Reiko pushed away from Loz, smoothing out her hair. Her kimono sleeve fell and the small ball, Materia, was finally in view. Kadaj's eyes sparkled with malice and something else unknown.

"Powers forged from the life stream."

"Hm?"

The silver haired girl looked down at the ball of Materia and it slowly disappeared and forged into her skin. Her eyes became wide and she looked towards Kadaj. The area where the small ball had forged itself felt tingly. Reiko closed her eyes and let out a small sigh a some sort of contentment and pleasure. It felt weird, yet it made her veins course with fire. When the feeling was gone she lingered for awhile and then slowly opened her eyes to the same expression on Kadaj.

"…"

The young boy raised his hand and placed it towards his chest.

"My name is---."

Before he could answer , he was interrupted by the sudden appearance of a vehicle. Reiko looked horrified, at the sound it made.

"What is that creature!"

All men turned to stare at her.

"It's called a motor cycle."

The girl looked confused.

"What's that?"

"Big brother."

Reiko looked at Kadaj, her eyebrows arched in even more confusion. She shifted so she could see better, behind them was a fast approaching figure. He had blonde hair, she could hardly make it out from here, but as he slowly advanced she could tell. Her cheeks gave off a warm sensation.

//What's this?//

She was brought back to reality when Yazoo and the other had mounted their vehicles and were starting the engine.
 "Hey what are you doing!"

The girl was silenced when Kadaj gave her a closed eyed smirk. Again her cheeks were heated, she found the young one to be quite attractive.

"We'll be seeing you later, sister."

She stood there as the trio of silver haired men disappeared. The blonde man soon reached her. She watched him, then with a shrug walked towards him with a small smile.

"Hello."

He said nothing and just gave her a stare, She sort of died inside when she noticed his eyes had the same contrast her and Kai had.

He shrugged and mounted his bike, it soon gave a roar and Reiko jumped, remembering that meant turn on, or alive.

"Please don't leave me out here by myself!"

The man stopped, his foot on the starting petal. He watched her, his eyes focusing and unfocusing, with in a few minutes he gave her a small nod. She grinned and walked closer.

"Can you please help me?"

"Hop on."

Was all he said as he slid up to make room for her. She jumped on the creature, her kimono making it difficult. The monster that she had jumped on started up and took off. She grabbed onto his back and buried her face into his back. Soon the weariness of the monster slowed and she brought her face out of its hiding spot. She watched as everything went at an alarming pace. She started to giggled and laugh as the air swept through her long hair. Cloud, even though not facing the girl thought she acted weirdly.

Reiko moved up towards the mans ear, to tell him something.

"My name's Reiko."

"Cloud Strife."

She smiled and nodded. Unconsciously she went back to watching as things flew by.

A few minutes and the two soon came upon a graveled road, one that was surrounded by high stoned walls. Ones that were covered in nothing but grass, and old shrubs. Reiko marbled at its beauty, but she stopped when she noticed that the monster they had been riding on, died. Cloud jumped off, they had reached some sort of housing area.

High stoned walls with shrubbery growing on it. She marbled at the places beauty.

Cloud came to a stop in front of a vehicle, Reiko had been to distracted to notice. With out a word he climbed off and walked towards the place.
'I guess it must be important. '

She gave a nod , carefully and consciously climbing off her self, which wasn't a very easy task seeing as her skirt kept getting stuck upon the petals.

She then hurried and caught up right behind Cloud. His feet smacked harshly into the floor and it smacked into Reiko's ears, such new feelings and noises had filled her body.

He stopped in front of the houses door.

"Stay back."

"O-Okay."

Opening the door, Reiko was surprised when a red head came rushing out, some kind of stick in his hand ready to attack Cloud. The blonde haired man had pulled out a big scrap of metal and had blocked, leaving the red head confused, he retreated and attacked again, this time Cloud doing a side step then in step. He had reached the inside and was about to shut the door, the red head, stupidly turned and tried to catch the door before it closed, only to have it slam in his face. Reiko stood there wide eyed and confused.

The red head rubbed his nose and slowly turned towards Reiko, he jumped when he noticed her. Jumping back with his arms in the air and a shocked expression on his face. When he saw no reaction from the girl he relaxed and composed himself, as much as he could.

"Are you a friend of Clouds?"

She shrugged, her eyes still wide with curiosity.

"No, I suppose I'm not. He's just helping me out."

He smirked.
"Names Reno. "

"Reiko…"

"Hm, both our names Start with R's Maybe we're supposed to be Soul mates."

Her eyes grew wider at such a mention.

"You're very vile!"

He looked at her, his mouth shaped into an 'O', then back into a smirk.

"Feisty aren't you, don't worry that's my favorite dish."

The girl backed away from the advancing male, her hand held high in defense.

"That's Nice but …"

A familiar beating of feet caught her attention, that and golden locks.

"But she's not interested. Lets go Reiko."

She smiled and nodded, her silver hair going up in down in bounces. Cloud was already at the motor cycle ready to leave Reno gave a sigh and closed his eyes walking back inside.

"She dressed weirdly."

With out warning the Vehicle roared off, Reiko squeaking as she grabbed onto Cloud's waist, he looked down towards her weirdly.

After a few hours the pair finally reached a City and drove up to a building. Clouds Vehicle died off and Reiko stared confusedly, was it her or was this place just always confusing.

"Where are we now?"

"The 7th Heaven."

He stopped and waited for the girl to get off she quickly followed his wishes and ran by his side, her height compared to his, as she had just noticed , was very different, she reached his shoulders at most.

'I'm short…'

They went into the place, Reiko was surprised when she saw two small kids and a woman. She smiled towards the two smaller children, taking a liking to them immediately. She walked over towards them, not finding that she hadn't introduced herself to the woman, to be rather rude.
The small girl which she had been approaching smiled towards Reiko, also walking a little closer to the new woman.

When they were acorss from each other, both smiling, and some hoe bonding The little girl pointed towards herself.

"My names Marlene, and you?"

"My Names Reiko, but you can call me Rei."

The little girl smiled, making the woman want to grab her and hug her to death.

"Rei…"

The girl tested, the name rolling off her tongue easily.

"Yep!"

The little girl, now known as Marlene turned towards a boy. She motioned for him to come forward and introduce himself, he did, but remained silent.

"His names Denzel."

Reiko nodded, Marlene walked up towards her.

"Aren't you hot in this?"

She grabbed at her kimono sleeve, which was stained by falling in dirt and riding on top of clouds motor cycle.

"Yes, but I have nothing else to wear."

Marlene looked in thought, then as if a Light bulb turned inside her head she turned to the woman.

"Tifa, can Rei borrow some clothes?"

The woman looked at the little girl confused.

"Who?"

A little finger shot out in Reiko's direction. Tifa's eyes shifted towards the woman, she had been wiping her hand on a clothe, which she had been cleaning cups with and such.

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't see you. I was a little busy with work and such. So who are you?"

She asked a sweet smile covering her face.

"Reiko, but you can call me Rei. Cloud helped me out when I was stranding in the middle of no where."

Tifa smiled and placed her cloth on the counter.

"Alright, Marlene says you need clothes, I can lend you some of mine for the time being."

Tifa smiled and nodded. Marlene pulled on Reiko's hands and led her to a small bathroom. Once there Marlene smiled and left Reiko alone. Reiko took her shower and dressed into Tifa's clothes. When she got down stairs cloud was there. He was sitting there while Tifa talked. He looked up at Reiko and then back at Tifa. He said something , but Reiko couldn't hear it. Tifa smiled and nodded. With that cloud got up and walked out of the front door. Tifa turned happily towards Reiko.

" Cloud asked me If I could offer you a place, seeing as you have none."

A happy face crossed the silver haired girl.

"Really?"

"Yes, on one condition."

The silver haired woman waited for Tifa to talk.
" You have to work in the 7th Heaven with me, Deal?"

She smiled.

"I'll do it, When do I start?"

"We're closed right now and I've already cleaned up. So tomorrow morning."

….

Reiko smiled. She sat down and talked to Tifa about anything really. Then it was time for bed. Reiko Smiled and walked up to the room Tifa had pointed out. When Reiko was about to reach her room. She hears someone whisper her name. She follows it and comes upon Denzel's room. She peeks in and sees Marlene watching over him. Reiko smiles as an image of an old friend comes to mind.

" Hello Marlene, Denzel!"

Denzel smiled and so did Marlene. Reiko sat beside The boys feet and looked down at him.

She sat there and talked to them for about an hour. After realizing how late it was she gave e a yawn and stood to stretch.

"It's time for me to go to bed, good night Denzel, Marlene."

With that she was about to leave their room, but Denzel's voice broke through.

"Rei , Can't you sleep here?"

She stopped in mid-step and turned towards the little boy. She stayed quiet for a moment, a look of though crossing her features. A few seconds went by before she looked back up.

"I'd Love to."

She walked over towards the bed and with out any of the children's consent Threw herself on it. The Bed bounced from the sudden weight, making the children bounce along with it, both giggled as they crawled towards Reiko and snuggled into her. She placed one of her hands on either children's head and rubbed their scalp, to soothe them to sleep. They snuggled closer, Denzel's head right under her neck and Marlene's little head on her shoulder. How had she come to make friends so fast, she placed her head on Denzel's and listened as he inhaled and exhaled.

"Reiko Promise us you won't leave."

Instantly she felt a pang of guilt. She couldn't promise them that, but if she didn’t she's break their heart, but they'd be even more heart broken if she told them and left. With out thinking any further into the issue, she let her heart answer.

"I'll stay as long as I can."

She heard a pair of grunts.

"No you have to stay here!"

Reiko smiled as she felt small hands wrap around her waist.

"Yeah you're our big sister."

She sighed.

//What is it with people and call me Sister?//

Her eyes wondered towards the children.

//I should be happy that they want me to stay…//

"I'll stay."

Both of their faces sparkled as they lifted and stared at her.

"Now go to sleep!"

"Alright!"

Both exclaimed as they put their head down in their respective places and fell into their sweet dreams.

"Mother…"

Reiko said in a whisper as she looked towards both children and Kissed their foreheads before falling into a deep sleep herself, the last feeling that was lingering being that of watchful eyes.
