I, Jenna Stone, apprehensively saunter into the bleak high school through the cold metal doors. While I was walking to my first hour class, I passed all the concieted people who were catching up on the latest gossip about who hooked up with who, who did what with who, and what they did over Spring break.
Nobody really noticed me. I was a nobody. A loner you could say and thats they the way I like it. I never cared about having friends. The only reasons I don't care about having any are because I see them as creatures who could possible start drama and who would probably backstab you in the end.
As I sat my black messanger bag on an empty desk, I knew that I would probably have a lot of work to get done from me missing almost half my senior year of high school, I'm 18. It didn't matter to me because I already have everything I need to go to college. I only come to this dull place so that I won't be dying of boredom and to get some scholarships to travel to England for college. Also, because it has my most treasured subject, art.
Why did I miss almost half of my senior year, you ask? Well, allow me to explain pretty much the last two or three years of my life.
My mom died not too long back. After she died, my dad started to blame me for it so he took his anger out on me by abusing me. It started out as just him saying that I was worthless and that he wished I had died instead of her, then later on it started more to get more physical. It was because I had my mother's light blonde hair, light blue eyes and her high cheek bones. The last time I saw my father was before he slammed my head into the living room wall, causing me to slip into accoma that lasted almost a year.
The few days of school that were left hadn't lasted very long. Today would be my last day in America for a good while. I couldn't wait until I was on the plane headed to England; Surrey, England to be more specific.
I have always wanted to live in England, with its old-fashioned villages and its charming countryside. In a way, it's had a calming affect on me every since I took a trip there as a youngster.
I was back at my house quicker than I had expected, finishing packing up and laying out the things I needed for my trip to England. And, I hope, my new home.
