Frank's Point of View
I gaze at Bob with a smile on my face and he looks terrified, yet happy.
He rushes behind the counter and grabs me by the wrist, pulling me to the break room.
"I'm going on break!" I yell to Cherie, and she nods.
"Wh-what happened?" he asks me, terrified. Tears are in his eyes and his voice is shaking horribly.
"I-I ki-killed you. With my own hands." He stares at me, looking over me, as if to check that I'm real.
"Oh, that," I say, putting my hands on his face, "you had a nightmare. When I left for work this morning, you were thrashing and turning. I couldn't wake you up."
He pulls me to him, grabbing my face.
"I love you," he says.
I smile.
"I love you too."
The kiss we share after that is more passionate than any other kiss I've had from Bob. He needs me, wants me, and he's glad that I'm alive.
We pause for a breath and Bob looks down at me, his hands coming to play with my hair.
"Your hair's getting longer," he notes, smiling.
"I was so worried Frank, I-I couldn't breathe." His voice is strained, and tears come to his eyes.
I pull him to the small chair in the break room and make him sit down. I sit on him, facing him, and kiss his cheeks.
"I'm right here baby," I coo gently, moving my hands over his hair.
He looks up at me, his eyes wide and intent on my face.
"Kiss me," he says gently, moving his head towards me.
I complete his request by holding his face in my hands and pushing my lips against his.
He kisses me eagerly, generously.
"I don't know what I would do without you," Bob cries, wrapping his arms around me.
"I know baby, I know." I comfort him.
The door opens and Cherie sticks her head in, looking at us in the corner of the room.
She sees Bob's red eyes and walks over to put a hand on his arm.
"You okay Bryar monster?" she asks softly.
He nods and puts his head to my chest.
"He had a dream last night that he killed me," I explain quietly, rubbing the back of his head.
She lets out a breath and looks back at me.
"You can take the day off Frankie, he needs you more than I do today."
I nod and Bob wipes his face quickly, ridding all traces of a vulnerable man.
I take his hand and we leave the coffee shop.
"I love you Frank," Bob says suddenly, drawing me closer to him.
"I love you too Bob," I answer as I kiss him.
I smile softly as he pulls me to him, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and planting a light kiss on the top of my head.
"I promise, I will never hurt you."
I wear this on my sleeve
Give me a reason to believe
