I leaned against the wall of the stadium, hoping Heather would come out and not have forgotten my bag.
"If I could sacrifice...one moment...without you..." I sang softly. I was only wearing my dress, my shoes, and my jewelry, so I was freezing. The Chicago night air was whipping my hair around, making me shiver. My knees were shaking, and my arms were crossed. "God Heather, stop flirting with Spencer and get the fuck out here" I muttered.
The door next to me opened and out came Brendon, looking like he was when he was a teenager, wearing glasses. I looked at his hand, and noticed he was carrying my bag. "Hey Brendon..." I muttered softly. He looked at me and smiled.
"Thank god you're still here." He muttered. He walked towards me and leaned against the wall, next to me. "We all thought you left." He looked up at the sky, like I was doing, and gave me my purse.
"Thanks..." I said. I carried the purse in front of me with both hands. "Is Heather done with..."
Brendon shook his head. "But Spencer seems really happy he met her."
I triled smiling at him, but instead I shivered. He tilted his head. "Cold?" I shook my head.
"I'm fine." I shivered again.
He shook his head at me. "You don't look fine." He shrugged off his coat and gave it to me. I shook my head this time.
"You'll freeze to death. You're only wearing a t-shirt."
"I'm fine." He gave me the coat.
"Are you sure?" I asked. He nodded and I took the coat and shrugged it on. "So, Mr. Urie. Are you happy with the band?"
He shrugged. "I guess...but it takes a whole lot of energy...what about you? Have you been happy the way you've been living?"
I didn't bother answering. "Hey Brendon...did you really not get my letter?" I looked over at him and noticed he was staring back. He nodded.
"I waited for a reply. I thought you didn't get my letter...or even worse." He stared at me.
"What's even worse?"
"Rejection." He muttered.
"Oh..." We stayed silent for awhile, the wind still whipping around my hair. Brendon sneezed. I looked at him.
"Bless you."
"Thanks."
I sighed and leaned my head back and closed my eye. This was getting uncomfortable.
"Hey, 'Liza?"
I tilted my head towards him and opened one eyes. "Mm?"
"Are we still...you know?" He raised both eyebrows and I sighed.
"Brendon...I'm not so sure...I mean we haven't seen each other in two years." I breathed out. He looked at the ground.
"Your boyfriend wouldn't approve either, huh?" Brendon asked.
"Brendon, I don't have a boyfriend." I looked at him. He was still staring at the floor. "What about your girlfriend? Wouldn't she disapprove?"
He looked up at me and grinned. "No girlfriend."
I smiled at him. "So...we're just on best friend basis, right?"
He nodded. "Right."
At that moment, Heather walked outside, looking like she was in a dream. She looked around and her eyes finally rested on us. "Let's go home Eliza. I'm expecting a very...important call to take..." She started walking towards our lonely car in the parking lot and I turned to Brendon.
"So...goodbye for now?" I asked. He nodded and hugged. I was taken aback, but hugged back. "Bye Brendon."
"Bye 'Liza."

Once we got home, I just kicked off my shoes, nothing bothering to change or wash off my makeup, which I knew I would regret in the morning. As I snuggled under the covers with the coat on, I realized I had forgotten to give it back to him. I smiled and took in the scent of Brendon Urie, hoping one day, he'll ask me out again.

No, this isn't the last chapter there's more just wait.
