'*POP* *sizzle, sizzle* *POP*'
"Yo! Edward! Alphonse! Breakfast is ready!" You called out, pouring some fried noodles into three bowls.
It was already the early morning in the desert and you were already up bright and early cooking some breakfast for you and the brothers. Ever since last night you had been keeping a close eye on the brothers and never left their side. Especially Al's since he was sleeping in your lap all night, but as the morning started going by you noticed that the brothers were already beginning to get better.
"Yo! Come on! Get your lazy asses up! Your breakfast will get cold if you don't!" You shouted sighing.
Ed and Al groaned and slowly opened their eyes, squinting through the morning sunlight. "Ughhh....noooo too bright....go away." Ed grumbled, sliding back under his covers.
You sighed and looked up towards him while crossing your arms. "Oh come on you big baby! Wake up! We have a long trip ahead of us today and we're going to need lots of energy if we're going to be walking in the desert all day." You said walking towards them while holding their bowls.
Ed and Al both sighed and slowly removed the covers from their heads to look up at you, still squinting through the bright morning sunlight. "*yawn* ahhhhh.....what time is it?" Al asked with a yawn, while looking up at you.
"It's around 8 right now. You guys have been sleeping soundly pretty much all night ever since your coughing and sneezing finally calmed down." You said sitting down beside them, and handing them their bowls. Ed and Al both yawned as you did, and slowly began sitting up from their sleeping bags.
"Mmmmm....thanks." Ed whispered, stretching.
You nodded. "Yeah sure, but how are you two feeling today? Any better?" You asked.
Ed and Al both smiled and nodded. "Yep. Much better. I mean I think I may still have a little headache, but other than that I think we're just fine thanks to you." Al said blushing, and scratching the back of his neck.
You smiled slightly and nodded. "Well thats good to know. I'm glad you guys are finally feeling better, but for now lets just try and get you two to eat something. You haven't ate anything since you've been sick so here." You said, handing them their hot bowls of fried noodles. "You guys better eat it while it's still hot." You said.
Ed and Al quickly smiled while grabbing their bowls. "Mmmmm, you got it! Thanks Katrina!" Ed said, grinning up towards you as he broke his chopsticks in half to use. "Yea, thanks Katrina! This looks delicous!" Al said, doing the same.
You nodded, grabbing your own. "Yeah sure. Whatever. Just hurry up and eat it so we can get ready. We still have a long day to go." You said, sighing.
Ed and Al nodded and quickly began grabbing a whole wad of noodles on their chopsticks. They both grinned, licking their lips at the hot steamy fried noodles in front of them, and opened their mouths wide and shoved their noodles right into their mouths and began tasting the delicous noddles. Only there was one problem.......they weren't so delicous. The moment Ed and Al shoved the noodles into their mouths their faces immediatly began to sour. This wasn't fried noodles! This wasn't anything hot and delicous! What the hell was this stuff!? Ed and Al immediatly began gagging and started spitting out their noodles back into their bowls.
You growled whenever seeing this. "Hey! Whats the big idea!?" You shouted.
"Ughh! What the hell is this stuff!?" Ed asked, gagging.
"It's fried noddles sherlock! Along with some of my medicine I put in there! It's suppose to be good for you!" You shouted.
"Ughhh it taste awful! These aren't noodles at all!" Ed shouted, wiping his tounge off.
You growled. "Oh well sorrrry if I don't cook so well! It's my first time ever making this crap so give me a break! Besides it had some special remedies in there to make you feel better!"
"Oh whatever! Only thing that did was make my taste buds sour! Ugh!" Ed said, shuddering.
You growled at him for a moment, but eventually sighed and began muttering under your breath. "Oh shut up. I tried ok." You mumbled, crossing your arms. Ed and Al looked at you whenever you said this, blinking a few times and then looked back at each other. After a while they sighed and looked back up at you. "We're sorry Katrina. We didn't mean to make you feel bad....." Al said, now feeling a little guilty.
You sighed and turned away. "Oh whatever. It's not like I care. You guys don't like it, then you don't like it." You said.
"We know, but....we're still sorry. You tried to make us something, but we just threw it in your face." Al said sadly.
"Ugh it's ok Al. Really. I never was the greatest cook anyway so I shouldn't of even bothered.....I just thought it would be a good idea to get you to eat something delicous along with some medicine in it, since you guys did kinda scare me a little last night....." You muttered, slowly looking down.
Ed and Al looked at you, blinking a few times before they finally began to smile. "So....you were actually worried about us last night?" Ed asked, lifting his eyebrow.
You blushed, but quickly looked up at them. "Well no duh! You guys were practically dying last night so I had no other choice but to be worried! I actually thought I was going to loose you two!" You shouted, growling.
Ed and Al blinked and looked at each other for a moment, before they finally looked back up at you with wide and sneaky grins. "Oooooooh so you ACTUALLY cared? You hear that Al? She's actually admitting she cared about us! Gee, and I always thought she hated us, huh Al?" Ed said, smirking as he crossed his arms.
Al grinned, blushing, but nodded. "Yep! But it turns out she actually did care about us! She was afraid of loosing us just because we had gotten sick! I think thats really sweet of you Katrina!" Al said, blushing, but grinning real big as him and Ed began nearing towards you.
A tint of pink being showing upon your features as they said all this. The brothers quickly saw this, and were a bit surprised to find you blushing. "H-Hold on! I-It's not THAT big a deal! I-I was mearly just worried about you b-because.....b-because....I-I knew I would probably get into trouble back at Central and I-I didn't want to face Mustang and the others alone so I-I-I-..." You began to say, while slowly backing up.
Ed and Al smirked. "Oh yea sure. Likely story. You care about us and you know it!" Ed shouted as him and Al quicky tackled you to the ground.
"Ugh hey! Get off of me!" You shouted, struggling to get away from their arms as they began trapping you into a tight hug. They both only laughed. "You like us! You like us!" The brothers sang, giggling happily as they began giving you noogies. You tried hard not to give in. Ed laughed. "Oh come on Katrina just admit! You care alot about us, and you know it!" Ed shouted laughing as he and Al began tickling you. You tried hard not to laugh, but you just couldn't hold it any longer and began bursting out laughing as the brothers surrounded you with tickles, noogies, and hugs.
"Ok! Ok! You win! I do care! I do care! Now s-stop it! Hahahaha! E-Ed! Al! *giggle* STOP IT! Ugh, hey!" You laughed as Ed and Al did these things to you, finally feeling yourself being freed as you admitted your true feelings to the brothers. You did care about them, and you did feel like they were your own brothers, and you even had to admit that they were lovable in their own ways. But it was already being set right that moment. You and the brothers were finally getting closer, and you all were happy about that. Cause from this point on you no longer remembered your true mission with the brothers, but instead only focused on how happy you were to finally being able to feel again, and being able to travel everywhere across the land with your brothers, and one soon to be your eternal lover.
Hours soon came to pass as the morning slowly began fading away into the afternoon. It had been a while since you and the brothers had left the old shack, and after finally filling up all your supplies and refreshments, began heading back out into the desert to see if you could finally find a small town.
"So how long do you think the next town will be?" Ed asked, looking up at you as you guys continued walking.
You sighed and shrugged. "I don't know. It all depends on how fast we walk I guess." You said.
Ed and Al both sighed and looked down. It had already been an a few hours since you guys had left and even so were already starting to feel the weight of the desert rising against your backs. Sweat was already beginning to pour down the sides of your faces as your breaths began growing a little heavier with each step, but none of you even thought about giving up. Today was the day you guys were finally gonna make it into a town. All of you could feel it.
You sighed to yourself, and began wiping the sweat off of your forehead as you looked back at the brothers. "Hey! How are you guys doing back there?" You asked, expecting them to be far behind you like they usually were, but instead they were right by your side.
They both smiled. "We're ok. What about you?" Al asked, smiling.
You blinked a few times. "Uhhhh....i'm ok." You said, slowly turning back around. 'Wow, these brothers certainly do get attached don't they?' You thought, not even paying attention to the small gaze that was still staring at you.
Al sighed a little, but still kept his gaze on you. Ever since this morning he never felt any happier to be friends with you. He was really glad that you had finally admitted how you felt about being with them, and felt a little closer to you than he ever did. 'Man, i'm so happy that Katrina is starting to accept us now! We can finally learn more about her and get even closer!' Al thought with excitment. Yep. He was giddy alright. Even though he knew he was traveling hundreds of miles across the hot dry desert he was happy. So happy he actaully felt like he should go ahead and ask you out. A big grin and blush was already slipping across his features as he thought about what it would be like. Holding you for the first time, kissing you passionatly under the bright stars at night, being able to just smell you and kiss you whenever he wanted. Oh yeah, the idea made Al shiver with excitment. He had to ask you out whenever you guys got back to Central. He just HAD to. He already knew his feelings for you were strong and he after today he could tell he was going to be with you for a long time. He just wished for you to know that.
But just thinking about it made Al suddenly remember the events that happened back in Central. The deal he had made with Roy. Al blushed a little remembering it. 'How could I forget.....he said I had to flirt with the one lady I really liked.....and that would mean Katrina.' Al thought, with a gulp. He was nervous and a little emberassed. He's never flirted before, nor had any experience with girls so he had no idea on what to do, but deep down he was actually a little excited about it to. Cause it would mean he had to change his appearence into some hot muscular guy that he knew girls would probably throw a fit for as soon as he walked inside. This thought made him think to you. He wanted to impress you, and wanted to know if you would think he was hot if he changed. He already began daying dreaming about the very thought of you being impressed, and sighed a dreamy sigh. 'Oh Katrina...' Al thought in his daydream. 'I'd be so happy to escort you around town.....and maybe even go out to dinner with you. Ahhhh Katrina I think my feelings for you are starting to grow even stronger with each passing-...' Al's thoughts cut off by your voice. (('Awwww Al's like a little love struck puppy^-^ He still loves you!'))
"Hey stop for a minute...." You said, making Ed and Al come to a complete hault as they looked back at you.
"Huh? What is it Katrina?" Ed asked.
Your ears twitched. "You guys hear that?" You asked, lifting your head up towards the distance.
Ed and Al lifted their eyebrows. "Hear....what?" Ed asked.
"A train.....I think I hear a train and....rushing water!" You said, as you also began hearing some rushing water.
Ed and Al both blinked and looked at each other in confusion. "Uhhh Katrina? Are you sure your ok? Cause we don't hear any-...." But they cut off whenever they heard a small train whistle blowing in the distance. You smirked once hearing it, and both you and the brothers looked off towards where it sounded.
"That was a train!" Al shouted.
You nodded. "I know! Come on! We're finally near a town!" You shouted, as you quickly began running off towards the sandy hills. "Hey! Wait up!" Ed and Al called, chasing after you. You kept running as fast as you could up the hill, excitment running through your body as you felt yourself finally leaving this old sickening desert and onto civilization at last. But your excitment was quickly replaced with suprise whenever you finally made it to the top, seeing something you'd thought you'd never get to see.
"Woah...." You whispered, your eyes widening as you looked down at the big watery town before you. "What is this place? It's nearly covered in water." You mumbled to yourself softly.
"What's nearly covered in water?" You heard a voice say from behind you. You quickly turned your head around to see Ed and Al just now walking up beside you on the hill. You blinked a few times before finally sighing as you looked back down at the town before you. "The town. Down there. It's like nearly covered in water." You said, pointing towards it. Ed and Al blinked a couple times and slowly looked down to see what you were talking about. Once they did they're eyes widened whenever they indeed saw the town surrounded by a big lake full of water.
"It's quit pretty, but i've never seen so much water in one city before." You said, crossing your arms. "What do you think this city is?" You asked, curiously. You actually did have an idea to what this city was, but wasn't really so sure. Well that is untill you suddenly heard Ed chuckling. You blinked a few times and slowly turned your gaze towards the now smiling Ed.
"Well I gotta say it sure has been a while since i've seen this old town again." You and Al both heard Ed chuckle. You both blinked a couple times, and began looking at him in confusion. "What? Brother, have you been here before?" Al asked.
Ed laughed, and turned towards you and Al. "Well of course Al! Don't you remember? This is Aquroya!" Ed said, smiling.
You and Al fell. "A-Aquroya!? Thats Aquroya!?" You shouted at him, surprised.
Ed nodded and looked back down at the city. "Yep. It has been a long time so it's no wonder I didn't recognize the city right away, but this is definatly Aquroya all right. Al you've been here before too, so don't act so surprised."
"I-I have?.....Oh wait. Of course! Now I remember! This is the place where we first met Clara! The theif, right?" Al asked, suddenly remembering.
Ed sighed and nodded. "Yep. Kinda figured she'd be the one to jog your memories." He said, causing Al to blush slightly and look away.
"Woah.....I can't believe this is actually Aquroya...." You said, making Ed and Al look back at you. "I've read and heard so much about this place before and had always wanted to go, but never really had the chance to since I was always so busy. But I have heard it's quit the tourists hot spot because of it's beautiful and romantic places there." You said with a small smile. "Not to mention i've read that they've got the most awesomest, yet expensive hotels and restraunts around. Where you can sleep and eat as much as you want! And i've also heard that their hotels have like these really cool rooms with your very own fridge, and your very own huge bath tub where you can relax in there anytime you want! Not to mention they have their very own hotsprings in the back, where you can soak in for twice as long!" You shouted out, now suddenly feeling really excited as you began thinking of what exactly was in Aquroya.
Ed and Al both chuckled whenever noticing how excited you were suddenly getting. 'Wow never knew she was actually into Aquroya.....maybe I could give her a tour later on if we stay there.' Al thought with a smile and blush.
"Uhhh wow Katrina. Never seen you this happy about going to another place before." Ed said chuckling.
You laughed and looked back at him. "Well if it means getting away from this dry piece of sack, and onto civilization then i'm more than happy to go anywhere! Just as long as it has food, a shower, and a bed!" You said, smiling.
Ed and Al both chuckled at you once more. "Yeah you got that right." Ed said with a smile as he shifted his backpack over his shoulders. "Well if you guys are ready and want to to hurry and get settled in then I suggest we start heading towards the town about now." Ed said with a sigh, as he looked down towards the city. You and Al quickly nodded. "Yeah sure. Come on! Lets go!" You shouted, as you quickly began running down the hill. Ed and Al laughed whenever you did and quickly began chasing after you. "Hey, wait up Katrina!" Al called out. "Yeah! Wait a second would ya!?" Ed shouted. You only laughed as you guys began running down the hill together and towards the town, so you guys could finally relax in civilization at last.....
(('Ok, once again PAUSING! I just want to apologize to everyone if these scenes do not make sense, and if Katrina is starting to get out of character now. I'm currently stressed out right now about my Al stories so I pretty much making Katrina seem more nicer because of it, but she will eventually be back to her old ways once the whole Aquroya season is over. Lets just say she's been out in the sun too long, and her other side is starting to show a little bit now, but she'll be back to her old ways once they get back to Central so don't worry. Well I guess it's time to get back to the rest of this chapter, so later!'))
"Ughhh, dammit! I can't believe this! That was our last freakin hotel for the day!" You groaned, slumping.
Ed and Al sighed and slumped as well. You guys had been walking around town for nearly half the day trying to find some open hotels. But with each hotel you visited, all were completely full.
"Ughhh. There at least just HAS to be some hotel open." Ed said sighing, as you guys continued walking.
"Yeah, they can't all be full. I'm sure there's some place where we can stay for the night." Al said, sighing as well.
"But that was our last hotel! So I hardly dought there's anymore places in this stupid town we can stay at!" You growled out, now feeling yourself going back to being angry and frustrated.
"Sure there is, we just have to think positive. Maybe we could ask someone polietly if we could stay the night at their house. I'm sure someone would be bound to let us stay then." Al suggested, trying to think of ways.
You sighed and grumbled. "Ugh, no way. Like they would actually let total and complete strangers into their house." You mumbled.
Al sighed. "Well it was just a suggestion. I'm just trying to think of positive ideas here." Al said calmly.
"Ugh, the only positive idea that should be thought of is trying to think where we're going to be at for the night. It's already starting to get late and there's no way in hell i'm sleeping on the streets!" You said sighing.
"Well what do you suggest we do? Just walk around all day begging for a place to stay at?" Ed grumbled.
"No! That would be your job." You said, snorting.
Ed growled as you said this. "Why you......ughhhhh just forget it! Lets just keep walking untill we find somewhere to go." He mumbled, crossing his arms.
"But we've been up and down these streets a million times already." Al said sighing.
Ed groaned and ran his metal hand through his hair.. "Ugh I know, I know, but untill we actually find a place that isn't full we're just gonna have to keep walking."
You sighed and crossed your arms. "Oh come on Ed! Like anyone would actually come up to us and start offering us a nice and cozy place to stay at for the-...."
"Well i'll be. Looks who's finally back in town." A voice from behind called out, interrupting your sentence.
You all blinked, and slowly turned your heads around to see a tall, beautiful looking young woman with short blond hair and glowing blue eyes, standing there with her hands on her hips, and looking towards you three with a small smile.
You guys all blinked a few times, not really knowing who this woman was, untill Ed slowly began speaking. "C-Clara?" He asked, lifting his eyebrow in curiosity.
The woman smiled a little more and nodded as she placed her hands back down on her sides. "You guessed it little man. It certainly has been a long while since i've last seen you back in this town again." She said, chuckling.
Ed and Al quickly grinned once hearing this. "Clara! Wow, it has been a while! How have you been!?" Al asked excitedly, as the woman named Clara began walking over.
"I've been just fine, thank you. What about you boys? You two trouble makers finally find that certain little stone you had been looking for?" She asked.
Ed and Al quickly smiled and nodded. "Yep! And now everything is just as good as new again!" Al said, happily.
Clara giggled. "Yes, so I can see. You two boys sure have gotten quit handsome since the last time I saw you. Especially you now that you've finally ditched that armor." Clara said, smiling sweetly at Al, making him blush and look away. She giggled as he did and smiled, but her smile slowly began fading away whenever she suddenly noticing you still standing there, staring at them. She looked at you, studying you very careful before she finally began smiling again.
"Well what have we here." She said smiling, as she began walking towards you. You blinked a few times whenever she had said this and looked up at her, as she stopped right in front of you. "Who is this beautiful young lady you boys have with you?" She asked, smiling sweetly down at you.
You blushed slightly as Ed and Al smiled. "Oh right. She's our new partner, Katrina Seteshi." Al answered, smiling sweetly up at you. Clara smiled even more as she heard this. "Oooooh Katrina, huh? My thats such a pretty name for such a pretty lady. I'm Clara. It's a pleasure meeting you mrs. Katrina." She said, sticking her hand out. You smiled slightly and nodded as you both began shaking hands. "It's a pleasure meeting you too." You said as you both let go.
She smiled and nodded. "It certainly is, and my my my. You know for such a young a lady like yourself you sure do have it going on down here." She said, looking down at your chest. You quickly began blushing and coughed. "Uhhh....t-thanks I guess....it's more actually quit a bother-....EEEEEP!" You quickly squeaked whenever Clara suddenly went behind you and began squeezing your breasts.
Ed and Al began blushing red whenever they saw this and fell.
"My, i'm actually very jealous! Just look at these, you must be very proud! How do you manage to get them this big? Especially in such a shirt! It's a wonder how the boys haven't attacked you yet." She said giggling as she sqeezed them even more tightly. You winced and began growling as she did, anger marks appearing all around your forehead before you finally began pushing her away. "Ei! OK! They're big! I get it! Now please keep your hands to yourself!" You shouted, covering your chest with your arms.
Clara laughed, and quickly began to smile. "I'm sorry, forgive me. I just couldn't resist." She said, giggling.
You sighed, but began mumbling under your breath as you slowly started rubbing your aching chest.
Ed and Al sweatdropped at the scene, and watched as Clara finally turned her attention back to them. "Anyways." She said, coughing. "What brings you boys back to town?" She asked, as Ed and Al began to sigh. "Well we kinda just now got back from a 2 day trip in the desert, and we just happened to stumble across this old place and so we're kinda looking for a place to stay for the night." Ed said, sighing.
"Hm. Sounds pretty heavy."
You and Al sighed. "It is, but so far we've had no luck finding any free hotels...." You mumbled. "Yeah, and almost every restraunt in town is full. So we don't really have a place to eat at either...." Al said, sighing.
Clara smiled. "Well then. Why didn't you guys say something earlier? I know the perfect place for you three to stay at if your interested." She said, sighing. You three quickly looked up at her as she said this. "Really!? What is it!?" You all asked, excited. She laughed. "Well it's a place a little far from here, but i'm sure you guys won't mind. Not many people know about it so it should be just perfect for you three. Come on. I'll show you." She said turning around, motioning you guys to follow her.
You, Ed, and Al smiled and nodded, and quickly began following right behind her, finally glad that you guys were getting off the streets at last and into a comforting hotel.
