Baby, You Wouldn't Last A Minute On The Creek {1 of 3}

I just want you to know that I know pretty much nothing about Chiodos except I hated them up until Monica got me into them. Therefore, I love Monica more than you. And that's why I'm writing this.

Monica Evans tolerated a lot of things.

She tolerated her boyfriend never being home.

She tolerated his music.

She tolerated his fans.

She even tolerated the groupies throwing themselves at him.

But, the one thing Monica Evans would never tolerate was cheating.

She'd heard stories, but she chose not to believe a word of them.

Craig Owen was a lot of things, but a lying, cheating boyfriend wasn't one of them.

But, then again, Monica Evans liked to avoid the obvious.

"Baby, I'll call you later," Craig whispered into the phone from whatever state Warped Tour was in now.

"I don't know if I'll be home later," Monica told him.

"Then I'll call you tomorrow."

"Fine."

Monica hung up the phone ignoring the fact that she heard a girl's giggle in the backround.

Craig wouldn't cheat on her.

He just wouldn't.

Craig Owens was a lot of things.

But a loyal boyfriend wasn't one of them.

He had the perfect girlfriend.

He had the perfect relationship.

He chose to ruin those things with a blond in the back of his bus.

"You're the only reason I came to Warped Tour," She whispered into his ear, as she straddled his waist.

He didn't even know her name.

"Can we not talk?"

Craig was never one to converse with his groupies.

They were there for one thing, and it definitely wasn't talking.

To make the moment even worse, Craig's cell phone went off.

"Tell me you aren't going to answer that," The girl said.

Craig saw Monica's name flash across the screen.

He hadn't talked to her in a week.

"Hello?"

"Hey, boyfriend," Monica smiled into the phone.

"He-Hey."

"What are you up to?"

"Nothing," He said too quickly.

"Well, that's interesting,"

"Baby, I'll call you later."

"I might not be home later," Monica whispered.

"Then I'll call you tomorrow."

"Fine."

Craig threw his phone onto the couch, and looked up at the smiling girl on top of him, "What?"

"Should I be lucky to be the girl that is going to ruin your relationship?"

"Don't talk."

Monica looked down at the orange piece of paper that was wrapped around her right wrist.

This was her ticket around Warped Tour.

It was in Michigan today.

She adjusted her oversized sunglasses, and began to walk threw the crowd of kids.

Craig told her to meet him at the main Stage at two o'clock.

It was now three, and Craig wasn't in site.

The schedule said Chiodos was playing at six.

She tried calling him.

She text'd him.

He wasn't responding.

Monica knew coming was a bad idea.

But, Craig insisted.

And if this day couldn't get any worse...

It started to downpour.

Let's just stop,
drop everything,
forget each other's names.
