You were in your apartment moping about the fight you had with Seto when the doorbell rings. You get up from the couch, hopefully thinking it was Seto. You glance at the clock before you open the door. School had just let out. You swing open the door and see...Jason!
"Jase! What are you doing here?" you ask, staring at your brother.
"The question is what are you doing here. You should be barely be coming home from school," Jason answers. You shrug your shoulders, trying not to let the tears spill out again. You don't want Jason to think something's wrong. But he notices.
"Hey ~~~~, what's up with you?" he asks concerned. He comes in and you slam the door close.
"It's nothing. It's some bullshit like always," you say and plop down back into the couch. Jason sits next to you and pats your knee.
"Well? Aren't you gonna rant about the newspaper?" Jason asks, looking closely at you. Your head snaps up.
"How did you know?" you ask.
Jason pulls your hair playfully. "I was looking around for the comics when the article caught my attention," he explains.
"Oh, crap! What did my mom say?" you moan, having a sudden vision of your mom with a butcher knife going after Seto in his sleep.
"Nothin'. I hid it before the old folks saw it," Jason reassures you.
"What about you? How come you look so sad?" Jason asks.
You sigh, "Seto broke up with me because of that stupid article. He thinks I'm lying." Then you explain the whole Joey business.
Jason's jaw opens in shock. Then he gets up from the couch and starts to pound his hand into his fist. "Damn them! I told Seto not to do anything to you! And when I find that Joey he's not gonna remember his own name!" Jason growls.
You grab his arm. "No Jase. Don't do anything. I can take care of it myself," you say.
He sighs. "Fine. But if I come over again and find you like this, I'm not gonna even ask you anything. I'll just go and pound some ass," Jason says furiously. You have to smile a little. It's just so cute when Jason takes the role of big brother. Suddenly, you both hear the doorbell ring. You look at each other, and then you go and open the door.
You open the door and see Seto. "~~~~..." Seto starts to say, but he notices Jason. Jason narrows his eyes and you see him tense up. You pat Jason's arm, trying to calm him down.
"What the hell do you think you're doing here?" Jason snarls.
"Jason!" you say sharply, and open the door wider so Seto can come in. he steps in cautiously.
"~~~~, we need to talk privately," Seto tells you, ignoring Jason, who's still giving him an evil look.
"Jase, talk to you later, ok?" you say and start to push Jason towards the door.
"But..." he protests, then stops and points a finger at Seto. "You've better not be up to any tricks, Kaiba. If you hurt her again, I'll come for you," Jason says and slams the door behind him. You hear his footsteps fading away. You are suddenly aware how tall Seto is compared to you. The top of your head barely reaches his above his shoulders. You stand there, feeling uncomfortable, staring at your feet.
"~~~~," Seto says softly.
Your head snaps up from the floor. "What do you want now, Seto? To tell me that you never want to see me again? To tell me you're with Diane? Do you want your things back?" you say, your eyes filling with tears against your wishes. You unclip the locket from your neck and hold out your hand to him. Seto looks at your hand and puts his hand over it.
"~~~~, do you really want to finish this?" he asks softly.

A lone tear falls out of your eye. "II don't want to end it, but you're the one that came in and started saying all this shit to me. You wont trust me," your voice starts to waver, but you think, I must not be weak! He's just another man, even though I love him so much.
Seto pulls you into his arms and hold you tight. "I don't want to end it either. I'm sorry for what I said," Seto whispers into your ear. You lean against his chest. He takes the locket from you and puts it around your neck again. He gives you such a passionate kiss that you are left breathless. He pulls you toward the couch and you sit next to him.
"So are you going to explain the thing about Joey?" Seto asks.
You take a deep breath and say, "You won't like this, but on Sunday when you drove me home Joey was in here. Then he uh...tried to take advantage of me. I got him off before he did anything. Then yesterday at the mall I bumped into him, and all he did was apologize. Then he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek as a friend. I swear I'm not lying."
Seto looks so pissed you're amazed his head hasn't blown up. He gets up from the couch and opens the door.
"Where are you going?" you ask, scrambling after him.
"Where do you think? To kick some ass," he calmly replies and walks out the door.
You quickly run after him and yell, "Seto wait! Don't do it!" Seto is taller and has longer legs, so you have to jog to keep up with him. "No Seto. Just let it go," you beg, tugging on his arm.
You both turn a corner and you see Joey and the rest of the gang. Seto breaks from your grip and goes running after Joey. "Seto!" you scream and run too. Seto reaches Joey.
