"Hey, aren't you missing school?" Max asked to change the subject.
"I guess..." Kaori mused, she was missing out on training so that could be school in a way. Maybe she could train here!
"You can go to Tyson's school..." Max caught himself at the end. "Maybe...." he trailed off again. She couldn't go to Kai's school since it was all-boys, and she didn't exactly get along with Tyson....
"There is no way she's going to my school!" Tyson shouted. "It's bad enough that I have to go and Hilary doesn't make it any better, but I draw the line there!"
"Tyson, it's only for a little while," Rei tried to reason with him.
"What if she lites me on fire when you guys aren't here? I'm too young to die!" Tyson pretended as if he was about to cry.
"Give it up Tyson, you lost," Rei continued.
"Yeah, she has to stay here with you, we can't just take her to our schools during the week and come back on the weekend," Max closed the argument as Tyson continued to whine in the background.
Kaori stood there, listening to the bunch argue. She was curious why the tall one never spoke but decided against saying anything.
'Apparently it's settled for me to go to school with..Tyson was it?' she tried to remember his name in her mind.
Before she knew it, she was asleep again, her wounds were pretty bad from that attack beforehand.
Get over it Tyson!
Tyson has a point!
More Max please.
As Kaori slept, she stared into the darkness of her dream. As she drempt in this darkness, she heard a faint sound. "Is anyone there?" she asked what seemed like no one.
"Who are you?" the voice asked.
"I think the question is who are you? This is my dream!" Kaori responded.
"No, this is my dream," it countered.
"Then why am I sleeping and able to control my actions?" Kaori mumbled to herself.
"Well I am asleep as well and I can control my actions," the voice replied simply as if whatever was there could heard what Kaori thought perfectly.
"Why am I even talking to my imagination?" she grumbled under her breath once again. "I can't even see anything...."
"Wait are you Kaori?" a girl emerged from the shadows of Kaori's mind.
"How'd you come up with that name?" Kaori was startled.
"Well I know her brother who is worried sick about her."
"Who are you? And how did you meet Kurama?!" she explaimed, shocked to say the least.
"My name is Cherry, and I joined team Urameshi."
Well, she sure doesn't care to hold onto information..Kaori drifted off again. "How could Koenma let you join their team?! He never lets anyone join!" she used Koenma's name since she blew her cover by using Kurama's before. "How did you meet them in the first place? You can't have known them for more than a few days!"
"Well I was in the park and randomly ended up in Kurama's room. They took me to a baby and told me I was half priestess."
"You expect me to believe that?" she spat out in spite of being speechless.
"WHAT?! I am telling the truth!" Cherry exclaimed.
"What kind of demon are you to be half priestess anyway?"
"Huh?"
"You must be some kind of demon to live in the demon world."
"Demon world?"
"That's where you must be if you met Kurama," she replied, trying to be patient.
"I just found myself in his room," she sounded so innocent.
Kaori stood speechless, unable to believe what she heard. "Alright," she'd just have to believe the story for now. "How do we know we're not just talking to some imaginary person in our dreams?" she asked.
"Well if you are Kaori, name the members of Team Urameshi."
"Hiei, Kurama, Kuwabara, and Yusuke...."
"You are right."
'No kidding..' "Okay then, tell me how you got to the demon world and met Koenma. If your story sounds genuine enough, I'll believe you."
"Well, I was in the park beyblading and ended up in Kurama's room."
"Beyblading?" Kaori asked confued.
"The tops," Cherry replied.
Normally, Kaori would have just about screamed she was so frustrated, but she stared in shock. "Do you think we've switched places or something?" she asked.
"I really don't know."
"And we're not imagining each other?" Kaori asked again.
"I hope not...or else this would be really weird," she replied.
"About this beyblading, do you happen to know a Max Mizuhara?"
"Maxy? Of course! He's one of my teammates!"
"Then maybe we both are real..." she mused.
"Well do u Cherry? You must have seen her in a picture."
"Yeah, I did actually."
"Then I think you are real," Cherry concluded.
"I think you're real too," Kaori almost smiled at that thought.
Cherry's image started to fade.
"Wait!" Kaori called but to no avail. Cherry was gone and Kaori was left in the dark.
I like Cherry!
Wow, Kaori's rude.
More Max!
Looks like you enjoy the story, thanks so much for reading it!
I'm sorry you hate Kaori, but don't worry, she's going to have an attitude change soon!
