Sincerely][Layouts I made the banner above! I own everything in this story. If it seems I stole ideas from anyone, tell me. But I will probably refuse to change it if I like it too much. ^^' But, I hope people will like this because I know I do so far. I got this out pretty fast huh? Chapter Four

At the Boys' House

Eric was on his knees, flattening the blanket that was on the ground, making sure it was smooth and nice looking. Neko was standing over him, peering down at the makeshift bed with a blank look in her eyes. Eric finished his preparations and leaned back, looking straight up at her without twisting his body. He grinned.
"Is this good enough Neko?" he inquired. Neko looked down at him and smiled, nodding once. Eric laughed quietly and stood up, motioning the girl to the blankets. She fell on top of the blankets, the burrowed underneath, laying her head on the pillow. She also held the rim of the top comforter over her nose.
Eric bent down again, pushing the hair out of her face, softly smiling. Neko smiled back, but he didn't see her mouth.
"See you tomorrow Neko. Sleep well!" Eric whispered, standing again and walking out of the room to meet his friends. Neko watched him leave, then turned over and closed her eyes. She was tired and needed her rest.

"You just meet the girl and you're already fawning over her," Shinju teased, monotonously, as Eric entered the main room of their temporary, and large, home. Eric glared at him, sitting on the couch next to Akita. Shinju and James were sitting on the floor with X-Box controllers in their hands, shooting each other in their dumb shooter game. Akita looked over at Eric. He had gotten out of the shower minutes ago, so his spiky hair was no longer spiky, but hanging down and in his eyes.
"Are you sure it was a good idea to let her stay here?" he asked, "Her family might get worried about her." His face mirrored his worrying perfectly. Eric frowned.
"Your gloominess matches James' personality..." he muttered in reply. Akita stuck his bottom lip out in a pout. James paused the game, much to Shinju's dismay, and turned around with a glare.
"What's wrong with my personality?" he pressed. Eric laughed nervously, forcing a grin with his eyes closed and a hand behind his head.
"Nothing. I didn't mean anything by it," he lied. James was what people liked to call Emo.
"Forget Eric!" Shinju growled, "I'm too close to kicking your ass for the game to be paused!" James turned back, rolling his eyes.
"Whatever, you're just annoyed that this is the first time you've ever been close to beating me..." Shinju glared at James, and then turned to the TV when the game continued. Eric sighed, happy that the attention was no longer on him. Akita coughed, sliding off the couch onto the floor behind his brother.
"I'm tired," he said, crawling forward to crouch between James and Shinju. The older brother didn't turn, but nodded to acknowledge him.
"Goodnight Akita," he said, rapidly pushing buttons to shoot James' character. Akita smiled and patted his shoulder, standing up and leaving the room.
"Damn..." James cursed, his character dying by a bullet to the head. Shinju made a "hell yeah!" face and balled a fist that he threw into the air in a victorious motion. Eric laughed, then receiving a glare from James. Eric grabbed a pillow and held it in front of his face in an attempt to hide. James sighed and stood, walking over to the gaming system and turning it off.
"It's late. I think we should all go to bed," James said, turning and crossing his arms. Shinju snorted and reached over onto the coffee table, taking a small box into his hand. He opened the box and took out a cigarette. He then used the lighter in his pocket to light the cancer stick.
Eric swung the pillow in his hand and swatted Shinju on the back of the head. The smoker turned and glared at him.
"We have a guest in the other room. Why do you have to pass on your early death?" James demanded. Shinju turned to him, closed his eyes, and flipped him off.
"Like I care," he said simply. Eric narrowed his eyes.
"If Akita catches you, I suggest you take shelter," he said. Shinju waved him off, standing up and making his way to the front door.
"I'll be outside."

Neko awoke slowly, rubbing her eyes tiredly as the sun hit her pupils. She whined quietly, then looking around with a scared expression. She went back to normal when she remembered where she was. She unfolded the blankets on her body and stood up.
After straightening her clothing, she exited and entered the main room. On the couch was a snoring Eric, with his limps hanging off the edge and a small line of drool on his chin. Neko giggled silently and walked over. She bent over, close to his face, and poked his cheek. He stirred a little, but continued to snore after coughing. The sound of a throat being cleared made Neko jump and she turned around. Akita was standing in the doorway with a teddy bear in his hand, and a black blanket draped over his shoulder. His eyes were half open and his hair was messy.
"Morning," he mumbled, "did you sleep well Neko?" he asked.
"Nya~," Neko replied, a small smile on her face. Akita nodded, also smiling, and walked along the wall to the kitchen. With nothing better to do, Neko followed eagerly.
When the two entered, Neko's stomach growled. She covered it as Akita looked over at her with a laugh.
"When Shinju gets up, he'll make you breakfast," he offered. Neko looked at him and nodded with a light blush on her cheeks from embarrassment.
"Who said I would?" Both teenagers turned to see Shinju himself, half naked, in the doorway. Akita blushed and covered his face, then Neko's.
"Would you please put on some clothes in the presence of a lady?" he stated, more than asked. Shinju smirked and walked past the two. He was only wearing pants that hung off his hips. The lack of shirt allowed the tattoo of a simple dragon up his side to become visible. Neko stared at it secretly, wondering to herself what it was for.
Anyway, Shinju opened the refrigerator and bent over to look in it. Akita blushed furiously while moving Neko so she could sit at the table. The girl did so, propping her chin on her palm. Shinju straightened up and closed the door, turning around with a carton of milk in his hand.
"And the special of the day is cereal," he mumbled, setting the mild on the table. He then moved onto the cupboard and took out bowls and a box of Cheerios . He placed them next to the milk and sat down across from Neko and next to Akita. "Dig in..."
The three of them, soon joined by James, made their bowls and ate. Neko finished first, much to the other's surprise. When they were all done, they moved into the living room to wake up Eric.
Eric was fast asleep, his bare chest moving up and down with the blanket covering only one leg. James stood next to the sleeping boy, a knowing look on his face, with the others standing together like an audience.
"Now, there is only one way to wake up Eric Davis," James said, smirking, "Observe." He turned and knelt down near Eric, his hand outstretched. He reached and pinched Eric's nose with his fingers. Then he used his other hand and covered the mouth. A few moments passed, when Eric began to turn funny colors. His hanging arm twitched and moved in a flash, knocking James away. He sat up quickly and coughed, regaining his breath. Everyone but the victim laughed, much to Eric's dismay. He turned red, seeing their female guest giggling at him.
"You could have just waked me up nicely..." he whined, pouting.
