Spencer gave a heavy sigh and leaned up against the front door before heading upstairs for her room. Halfway there, a clanking noise that seemed to come from outside stopped her.
"Kirk?" she called, cautiously stepping on every stair case as if each were a hazarad. "Frank?"
CRASH!
Her dog Mr. Spritzer started barking frantically over the breaking glass. Spee quickly hopped down the bottom two stirs and rounded the corner. As soon as she did, she screamed.
A man in all black with a wool hat on was hitting Mr. Spriyzer with a baseball bat viciously to shut the creature up. His horrible whimpers of pain made Spencer sick to her stomach.
She headed for her front door, which was nothing but a few feet behind her, but before she could make it out, a large blunt object was hurled at the back of her head that sent her flying to the cold tile floor.
She cried, feeling a strong hand yank her up by her hair and drag her across the tile, into the living room where he had broken in.
Spencer's feet were kicking furiously as her lungs tried to keep up with her wailing over the house alarms. She had a hearsome headache by this point but that didn't mean she would stop trying.
"SHUT UP!!" the ma ordered, throwing her onto the floor.
Spencer only cried harder as her back came into contact with hundreds of shards of glass all at once. It was then she got her best look at him: blond hair, blue eyes, tall and lean and, judging from the strength with which he tugged her along, built.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP LADY, OR I'LL BLOW YOUR FUCKING BRAINS OUT!!"
She felt along the back of her head and pulled her hand into view. Blood. Lots of it. "Oh, God..."
"FACE DOWN!!"
She coughed. Out the corner of her eye she could see the bloody baseball bat used to severely beat her dog. Without thinking, she made a grab at it and whirled towards her assailant.
But he caught it and the two wrestled for nothign more than a few seconds before his stronghold overpowered hers and won by virtue of superior strength. He took one final swing at the girl.
She fell back onto the jagged glass crystals, her head hitting them last. A sharp pain shot right through her skull in a straight line and hammered against her forehead.
And then, there was no pain. Just heat. A light, weightless kind of heat warmed her. She was safe, away from the man who tried to kill her.
Tried and succeeded.

"What am I doing?" Sonny asked himself. "If I wanna get married, why should I wait?"
He smiled a broad smile and immediately turned the car around.
"What was I thinking?"
It didn't take too long for him to get back to Spee's house but when he did, his nerves shook him in a way worse than before.
He noticed the open door.
Sonny quickly rushed out of his car into the house. "No," he whispered into the stiff air around him.
There she was, sprawled out across the floor with her dog, both of their faces bloodied furiously.
Sonny didn't believe it. "Spencer," he called, walked up to the body. "Are you all ight?" What a stupid question...
He crept up to her until his feet tipped her arm whereupon he knealt down and ran a hand down the side of her face the way he had no more than fifteen or twenty minutes ago. He cried. He kissed the area of her neck where a pulse would be if she had one, and cried.
Mr. Spritzer whimpered.
Wake me up low with a fever, walking in a straight line, set me on fire in the evening!
Like I said, not that long, but kinda important. Eh.
I can tell by the loops in my handwriting that I was excited when I wrote that part.
