It's been two years since Sonny's seen Spencer last. The wind outside blows his unmanaged hair itno his face, his eyes. But the sun is mild and clouds are nothing but wisps brush strokes.
Birds call in Sonny's ear and he sings along with them for a short while because he knows Spencer loves the sound of his voice.
It's Thursday and some kind of feeling woke him up this morning anf took him here.
He places the bouquet of flowers at the gravestone marked: Spencer Michelle Dambra before standing upright again and taking a deep breath.
"Hey, Spee," he starts, voice shaky, "how's it going? I'm not sure if you know or not but I miss you a lot. I'm engaged now, to Matt. He's probably been down here promising you he'll take good care of me ever sicne he proposed. You know, I came back that day to propose to you. Heh. Guess my chance kinda got shot to hell, huh?"
Sonny shifts and rubs his nose a bit. "Adam apologizes every given oppurtunity even though I already forgave him because I know you liked him and it was something you might want me to do." He lets out a small cought to calm his nerves.
"Been a long time, huh, Spencer? Your metalhead, Irving, moved up to Idaho not too long ago, so Mr. Spritzer is living with me, Mattie, and Oakley now. It's pretty crowded but Matt doesn't mind. He does everything for me..."
Sonny kneals down at the gravesit and a small sob.
"I miss you so much, Spee. It's gotten easier but it's hard to forget you--I mean, about you. I can never forget you but it's still hard to believe you're gone sometimes. Sorry...it took me so long to get here btu I wasn't thinking straight. I still dream about from time to time, now and then. You're still as beautiful as you were the day I met you."
He pulls up his left sleeve and runs a finger over his forearm.
"They bleed a lot, Spee. Mattie keeps telling me to stop but I knew I couldn't until I came to see you. Everyone still misses you though. You'll always mean something to me, loser. Don't you ever forget that. Heh, I better get out of here before Matt wakes up or he'll be worriesd about me."
Sonny stands and backs away from the tombstone. He kisses his fingers to place them to the top of the stone before turning to walk away.
The birds all died down, the wind has picked up and the whistle of trees graces Sonny's ears before he smiles over his shoulder, stopping momentarily to say, "I love you, too."

EDIT:// Sorry it took so long. I thought I had posted this already.Hi, last chapter. There are a lot of inside jokes from that summer in here. And a lot of hidden meaning that might mean more if you remember the preceding parts of the story. After I wrote this and showed it to her, we went on to co-write a Travis Richter/Adam Lazzarra slash that we never finished. Most. Embarrassing. Thing. Ever. LAYOUT CREDIT TO VICTIMIZED.Did you like this story? Make one of your own!
