Wow! I'm only on chapter 2 and with the two chapters and the prologue, it's already over 5000 words. ^_^ And it's only chapter 2. ^,^
Oh, BTW, I forgot to mention that Deidara is two years older then he is in the original series, making him only 2 years younger then Kisame instead of 4 years.
cool!
A couple of days passed since you told Gaara and Kankuro about Neko and it was finally time to go. There was still something bothering you though.
Kankuro walked through the front door, looking down.
Make that two things.
"Kankuro?" you asked, stopping him in the living room.
"Hm?" he asked not really looking at you.
'I deserved that.' "I'm sorry about what I said the other day."
"No, you're right. And you didn't say it, Neko did."
He still wasn't looking at you. You could tell what you--Neko--said had hurt him badly. "Kankuro," you sighed. He still wasn't looking at you so you gently grabbed his chin and forced him to look at you. "I was wrong about what I said. And it wasn't all Neko either. I was thinking it too, but not as harshly. I wanted you to know that you look fine with or without your makeup, but you look better without it. It hides your true beauty, Kankuro." You hugged him and walked to Temari's room to grab your bag. When you walked out the door, you stopped in the doorway, slightly confused. You weren't sure how you were expecting to how to get to the Leaf Village but whatever it was, you were expecting it to be outside, waiting for you. (Which it wasn't.) "How are we getting to the Leaf Village?" you asked.
"Sand surfing!" answered Temari.
"Cool!" you shouted. "But what about when we leave the desert?" you asked again, confused.
"Walk," replied Gaara.
"Walk?" you asked. "But what about our bags? My bag?"
Snug mewed from behind you. "Great idea, Snug!" And with that you were off. "This is so cool!" you shouted to Temari. You all talked the whole way to the edge of the desert. Once you landed safely on the ground I said, "Do your thing, Snug," and she transformed into something that resembled Kirara's transformed form from InuYasha.
"Whoa!" exclaimed Kankuro.
"Since when can you're cat do that?" asked Temari.
"Since always," you said smugly. 'There's a lot you still don't know about me.'
"Can she fly?" asked Gaara.
"Sure," you replied, "but only when she knows the way to where she's going." You smiled.
"So she's a pack mule?" asked Kankuro.
"So not!" you shouted punching him playfully in the arm. He pushed you back. "Besides, it was her idea."
You continued to walk and talk along the way.
"Where are we staying when we get there?" you asked.
"We bought a place to stay when we're on missions, so that's where we'll be staying," answered Temari.
"The people there are okay," said Gaara.
"Cool!" you exclaimed. 'Okay' in Gaara speak is like 'awesome' in Cheza speak.
"But some of the people there are odd," added Kankuro. "Like Jiraiya who writes Icha Icha Paradise."
You gave Temari your confused look.
"He lives there," she explained.
"Oh, Jiraiya lives--Cool! I love those books!"
All three of the sand sibs gave you a creeped out look.
"What?" you asked, shrugging. "I was just kidding."
"And Kakashi," added Gaara. "He's also perverted."
"He reads the books," explained Temari.
They explained more about the people in the village as you walked.
"Here we are!" exclaimed Kankuro walking up to the front door of a house.
You could hear kids yelling and playing. You even saw some your own age.
"Look," whispered a girl pointing in your direction. She nudged a boy standing next to her. "Neji, look." She pointed at you again.
He turned around and looked at you.
You smiled at them and turned back to Kankuro, Temari, and Gaara. "I'm going to unpack then come back out. By then I'll probably be hungry." You walked in the door and stopped. You turned back to them. "What is there to eat around here anyway?"
"Ramen," replied Temari.
"Yum!" You ran inside and started unpacking.
About an hour later you heard a knock on the front door.
"I got it!" yelled Kankuro when you were half-way out of your room.
"K-konnichiwa," stuttered a girl. She bowed quickly. When she straightened up you noticed her eyes were practically identical to those of the boy you saw outside earlier.
'They must be related,' you thought.
"I b-baked some c-cookies f-for y-you a-as a welc-coming g-gift. T-Tenten told me th-that y-you br-brought a g-girl with y-you."
"We don't want your cookies," Kankuro growled and slammed the door in her face. A second later you heard a small thud on the front porch.
You groaned and exited your room. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know she fainted. "Kankuro?"
He turned around and you realized he must have put his make-up and hood back on when you were in your room putting your clothes and stuff away.
"How many times have I told you not to scare the visitors?" you asked jokingly.
He shrugged as you opened the door.
"Help me bring her to my room, Kuro. I'll let her rest in my bed." Once you got her into your room and on the bed, you decided to leave her alone. "When do you, Temari, and Gaara go on the mission?" you asked.
"It's only me and Tema who are going on the mission," replied Kankuro. "We've decided to let Gaara stay here with you so you won't be alone."
"Aww...thank you."
"W-where am I?" I heard from my room.
"Good, she's awake," you muttered glaring at Kankuro. You entered your room to see her sitting on the edge of your bed with a look on her face that resembled that of a deer caught in the headlights. "I'm glad to see you're awake."
She let out a terrified squeak.
"Sorry, I didn't realize I was so quiet. This thick carpeting really absorbs vibrations. Sorry about Kankuro," you said leaning in your doorway. "He's not really that bad. He's actually pretty cool." You crossed the room and took a seat next to her on your bed. "My name's Cheza. What's yours?"
"I'm H-Hinata."
Your stomachs growled loudly. You laughed. "Why don't we go eat? It sounds like we're both pretty hungry. Do you know of any good places around here?"
"Um...W-we have a r-ramen p-place around h-here."
"Yum!" you exclaimed. "That sounds really good." You exited your room. "Kankuro, Hinata and I are going to get some Ramen. I'll be back soon." ^_^
"By the time you return, Cheza, Temari and I will probably be gone on our mission."
"Kay, Kuro! Love you!" you called and ran out the door after you hugged him.
"Neji, look, it's that girl again," exclaimed a girl when you and Hinata got to the Ramen Shack.
You looked around and it was the same girl as before. She waved you and Hinata over to sit with them. "Hi!" she chirruped. She seemed somewhat hyperactive or maybe she was just excited. "I'm Tenten! Who are you?"
"I'm Cheza." You paused. "Cheza Kella." You decided to use your mom's maiden name since your adopted parents disowned you and you're ashamed of your dad right now.
"Kella," repeated Neji. "Of the Kella clan?" he asked looking up at you.
"The one and only!" You gave them a peace sign. "Wait...your eyes," you said. 'Why didn't I see it before?' "You're a Hyuga. My mom--She--" 'Don't start!' "--knew your parents, I think."
"Didn't your mom die twelve years ago?" he asked.
"Twelve?" you muttered. "No, she only died eight years ago," you said, your eyes filling with tears.
"Neji!" hissed Tenten sharply. You heard a mild thud under the table and Neji winced.
"Hinata!" a boy shouted.
You and Hinata both turned to see the source of the voice. Standing there was a boy with blonde hair in an orange jumpsuit.
"Who are you?" he asked as he ordered his ramen.
"I am Cheza Kella. And you are?"
"Naruto Uzamaki. Believe it! I'm going to be Hokage one day! Then everyone will respect me."
You tilted your head to the left slightly. 'Respect him? Why wouldn't they?'
I smell demon all over this boy. He reeks of Kyuubi.
Half an hour later you ate seven bowls of ramen while Naruto was on his seventeenth.
"I'm done," you said pushing your bowl away from you. You looked around the table to see Tenten and Neji stealing glances at each other every-so-often and Hinata looking at Naruto. She turned away, her face completely red.
You tried to conceal a smile. This was so cute! They would both make totally adorable couples!
Later that night you made your way into the forest. You laid down and watched the stars over head.
"Who are you?" came a voice next to you.
You jumped, startled. You didn't realize anyone was there.
"Sorry," said the voice again as a boy sat next to you.
"It's okay. I just didn't hear you come up, that's all. I'm Cheza Kella."
"I'm Shikamaru Nara. It's nice to meet you," he said laying back. "Kella," he repeated sitting bolt upright, his eyes widening. "As in the Cat Clan Kella?" he asked shocked and interested.
"Um..." You looked down at the ground, up at the clouds, and back at Shikamaru. "I have to go. Gaara will be wondering where I went," you said and ran off.
The next morning you heard a knock on the front door that wouldn't stop. You groaned and rolled out of bed. You walked to the front door and opened it to find Tenten standing there. "Too early!" you groaned.
"Wanna train with Neji and I? Afterword, I'll introduce you to new people." She was chipper.
'Too chipper for this early,' you whined in your head.
You grunted and walked off, leaving the door open. "Come in and make yourself at home," you yawned, barely covering your mouth and waving her in. You got dressed and walked into the living room five minutes later. "I'm going to eat some breakfast before you drag me off, Tenten. Can't spar on an empty stomach," you said winking at her and giving her a peace sign. You walked off into the kitchen and walked back into the living room, to find her playing with her kunai knife. "Do you want anything?"
"No thank you, Cheza-chan."
"Okay," you said and walked back into the kitchen and grabbed a bowl from the cupboard.
While you were pouring your cereal, Tenten asked, "What's your ninja specialty? You know, your special attack?"
"My special attacks are probably Piercing Fang and Beast-human clone."
"Oh, so your style is like Kiba's," she commented.
"Who?" you asked, walking into the living room, bowl of cereal in hand.
"I'll introduce you to him and the other's who live here." She stopped twirling the kunai knife. "Maybe we can take the day off from training so you can get to know the village and the people."
"I would love to meet everybody!" you shouted excitedly. "Maybe later we can train. You know, you and me, one on one, because everyone should train at least once a day."
Tenten chuckled. "Tell that to Shikamaru." There was a pause. "Cheza-chan, how often do you train?"
"Everyone in the Village Hidden in the Sand trained two hours to two and a half at the most. Except me, I usually train for four and half to five hours a day. Not all at once of course, but if I'm ever going to avenge my family..." You trailed off.
She looked at you with her eyes wide. "Sound like you train as much as Sasuke-kun, if not more."
"Why? How much does he train?" you asked, putting your bowl in the sink.
"He trains four to five hours a day everyday. He's obsessed with being the best. And he's so arrogant," she said as you walked to Gaara's room and knocked on the door.
"Gaara, Tenten's going to show me around and introduce me to everybody. Don't wait up for me, kay?" When he didn't reply, you slowly opened his door. He wasn't there. "He must have went out already."
"You hang around with that monster?" asked Tenten in disbelief.
You turned to her and narrowed your eyes. "You know, you really shouldn't judge people before you get to know them. Gaara's not a monster like everyone says he is. You should get to know him first," you said, angrily, walking past her, leaning against the wall next to the door. "And I bet Sasuke has a reason for training as much as he does...I know I do."
Tenten looked down at the floor, slightly, red in the face from embarrassment and shame. "I'm sorry. It's just that everyone says..."
"And if everyone called me a monster what would you think, Tenten-chan?"
"I--" She looked up at you. "I'd tell them that you aren't and they should get to know you before they judge you."
"Exactly," you said smiling at her. "Now come on. I can't wait to meet everyone!"
"Your eyes are orange," commented Tenten.
"Figures," you muttered. "Snug, Yuurei!" I called. "Do you mind if I bring my pets with me?"
"No, that would be fine." When Snug and Yuurei entered the room, Tenten leaned down and cooed, "What a pretty kitty."
The first two people that Tenten introduced you to two guys wearing green. "Cheza-chan, this is Rock Lee," she said, introducing you to the younger of the two, "and Gai-Sensei." She bowed to him and you did the same. Snug brushed up against their legs while Yuurei just barked.
"Do you have youth?" one of them asked at the same time that the other asked, "Are you youthful?"
Tenten smacked her forehead. "What have I told you about this? You cannot ask the youth thing right off! It scares people."
You looked around and saw Neji about ten feet off watching the scene. You walked over and stood next to him. "Do you like her?"
"Huh?" he asked, not sure who you were talking about. You pointed at Tenten and he blushed slightly. "I think destiny has brought us together."
You opened your mouth to say something to him when Tenten dragged you off. "Sorry about those two," she said with an apologetic smile. "They can be annoying sometimes, but they mean well."
"Who are we going to see next?"
"How about the rest of Naruto's group."
"Okay, that sounds good." You paused, thinking of a good way to ease into the subject without seeming nosy. "Tenten, how do you feel about Neji?"
She turned to you and said sharply, "Why?"
You smirked as you put your hands behind your head and you kept walking. "Just wondering," you said smuggly.
"Sakura!" shouted Tenten when you stopped walking.
You looked up to see the boy you saw yesterday...'Naruto, I think', and two other kids: a girl with pink hair and boy with blackish-blue hair.
"HI! What's your name?" asked the pink haired girl.
"I'm Cheza. Cheza Kella." At this, the boy with the black hair slowed what he was doing and listened.
"I'm Sakura Haruno," she said bowing. She turned to the boys. "The boy listening to us is Sasuke Uchiha and the blonde is--"
"Naruto. I met him yesterday at the ramen shop."
"Cheza!" he shouted and ran over to you.
"Who are you here with?" asked Sasuke.
"Oh, so you do talk. I'm here with Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari. Although I might be staying here for a while."
"Oh?" asked Tenten.
"Something I'd rather not talk about yet." You felt arms wrap around you in a hug. "Thank you Naruto," you said hugging him back. "I needed a hug."
"Come on Cheza," said Tenten when he let you go. "We still have a few more people to meet," she said dragging me away.
"Bye guys!" you shouted over your shoulder as Tenten dragged you away.
"We have five--technically three--more people to introduce you to, then you can hang out with whoever you'd like to."
"Why only three?"
"Hinata and her team are on a mission right now. You'll meet them tomorrow when they return from the Village Hidden in the Water."
"Fish people!" you shouted and laughed, then you sighed.
"You okay?"
"Just being reminded of someone I'd rather forget," you said. 'Stupid Deidara! Stupid Kisame! If I ever see them again, ooohhh! They are gonna get it!' You kept think of the many ways you could kill them both, and what you'd do to your dad when you got to him when somebody jerked you out of your thoughts.
"Cheza!" you heard someone shout.
You looked up to see Shikamaru. "Shuka!" you shouted.
He looked at you weirdly.
"Really bad play on words," you said grinning sheepishly.
He shook his head and introduced you to the others. "This is Chouji. He likes to eat. His favorite food is potato chips. And this is Ino. She's annoying, she can't stand the fact that Sakura and Sasuke are on the same team, and she's also a pest. This whole team is a drag if you ask me."
You looked at Chouji and then at the girl he called Ino. 'She looks just like Deidara.'
Yay! It's done. I have alot more to go. Um...Oh! Thank you to Sailor131 for one of my many twists...and if anybody has any info at all on the Akatsuki Leader AKA Pein then please let me know. I need to know everything I can get my hands on. ^^
Arigato! ♥
