I was walking casually to a silver rimmed gate. I had the strange sensation that something weird was going to happen. I knew it would. My senses are very clear. I had been with teh Silver Rhythm for about a month now. I changed a little bit, but I was still Leila.
It was funny, instead of hunting bounties, now, I was hunting treasure. Relax, I didn't get greedy with it, but it was way more fun than bounty hunting alone. I entered the area, looking around, making sure there weren't any traps. I felt slight vibrations underneath my feet. It was from footsteps.
Five...No, si- ten? Ten men? Okay, I got it I said. I took out a radio and spoke into it.
"Ten men, suspecting five on other sides. Loaded weapons, major shot. Ready, Hebi? Musica?" I said quietly.
I jumped and heard gunshots. I felt bullet graze my figure. I dodged and I leaped. I took my gun inbetween my fingers and aimed it quickly. I pulled the trigger about a dozen times. I heard the lauching of the bullets, then the yells of the guards. I aimed at their feet, making sure they wouldn't hit anybody. I decided that my morals would only be used when our enemies were trying to kill me.
Like right now, I could do that, but it would be more troublesome. Musica said no killing anyways. I landed on the wall on my toes, graceful as a cat. The bullets rang loudly in my ears like sirens. I dodged as much as I could with inhuman speed.
I slipped into the window and heard shouts yell from outside. I took my gun and looked at it carefully. I waited a little bit. I was only a distraction. I saw a silver snake on the wall. I adjusted my spandex suit and put on my mask. I fitted so it wasn't too tight or too loose. I sighed. I looked up to the moon.
"Time to go, eh, Musica?" I said to no one in particular. I jumped with gun in hand onto the top of the building. I looked and saw the gang leave. They had a heavy pile of things in their hands. I looked and saw guard coming their way. One of them had a electrical spear. The others had guns; Very big guns to be exact.
I looked down at them and looked.
Even for a month, I had started to feel like I had to protect the gang. I was helping when they needed it. Even if they thought little of me.
The next thing I knew, I had pulled the trigger on my gun. It was aimed at one of the guards, but missed. A blast sounded. Everyone looked back to me. The guards had aimed their guns at me and I did what everyone would've done. Run.
I ran at top speed without any sound to the end of the building. I had no intention of doing so, but I ran to the side of the building where the gang was running away. I looked at Musica's frustrated face. I turned on my heel and ran to the guard's side. I had my gun and I shot and aimed carefully.
"For the gang," I said, as I pulled the trigger, aimed at the guard's abdomen. By the time I heard a bullet come to my chest, it was too late. Everything was in slow motion. I started to feel numb. My gun fell from my hand.
"Leila!"
