Chapter One
A few tears slid down my face as I laughed harder. The black-haired boy in front of me grinned at me before poking me on the cheek.
"So I'm that funny, huh?" He questioned, laughing as I blinked in confusion.
"...Wha..?"
"Richard! Tori!" Mrs. Gandenberger screeched, pointing towards the door. "In the hall...now."
"Sorry Mrs. Gandenberger." I mumbled lightly, trying to hold in my giggles.
Richard only grinned at our language arts teacher, following me outside. As we exited, he shut the door as I sat on the bench. He walked up at sat beside me...only to push me off so he could lie down.
We both broke out into a fit of laughter while pointing at each other. Richard rolled off of the bench, hitting me in the stomach with his foot. I sputtered lightly before continuing in my fit of laughter. Richard didn't move as he held his stomach, laughing just as hard as before.
"...Richard...Tori."
I immediately stopped laughing and looked up at my language arts teacher, grinning innocently before picking Richard's foot up as if it were a gigantic bug.
"Get back in the class you two." She sighed, turning and walking into the classroom.
Giggling, I stood and reached down to help my friend up, only to be pulled down to the floor and almost on top of the smaller boy. Thankfully, though...I caught myself above his face.
"Hi." I grinned, lifting my hand and poking him on the nose before trying to get back up.
But an arm wrapped around my shoulders and locked with another. Richard, who was the one that was obviously holding me, blew on my face. This caused me to scrunch up my nose at the feeling, but I still grinned, nonetheless.
"C'mon, we gotta get in class, ya idiot."
Carefully, I peeled his arms off of my waist and stood, side-stepping out of his reach as he reached out to grab my foot. He pouted before standing and almost falling.
I sighed lightly before walking over and putting his arm over my shoulders and helping him walk into the classroom. He was so retarded...being dizzy after laughing.
"You're gonna get me suspended one day." I muttered.
"...You still love me though." He grinned, his freckles seeming to pop out.
Honestly...for a guy that's just your friend, he was pretty damn cute...so I had to force myself to not turn red. I just grinned back before letting his arm drop so I could turn and close the door.
"Stop staring at Tori and sit in your seat, Mr. Quire." Mrs. Gandenberger recited.
Yeah...you heard me. Recited. Richard and I were always sent out in the hall, usually towards the beginning of class, and he always ended up staring at me and was told to go back to his seat.
The class burst out laughing and Richard only stuck his tongue out, which caused me to laugh along.
"Child...you're so weird."
Slowly, I walked up and interlaced my arm with his before dragging him to his seat...which resided next to mine.
Now...I have no idea why Mrs. Gandenberger placed us so close together, when we're talkative when on opposite sides of the classroom. So basically, she just did the dumbest thing in the world when she placed us beside each other.
You see, Richard used to sit in the far right corner in the back of the classroom, while I used to sit in the far left corner in the front of the class room. Every day I'd be at his seat, or he'd be at mine, and we'd talk and laugh.
Every day we were told to go to our seat.
And, if we weren't talking at the beginning of class, we'd be yelling in the middle of class or throwing paper ball notes at each other...or just paper balls.
So yeah...Mrs. Gandenberger wasn't doing something very smart when seating us.
"Now, as I was saying....-"
Mrs. G's voice seemed to fade as I drew in my notebook with a bored expression on my face. Now that we had to be quiet...things weren't really fun.
That's when I heard the sound of paper being folded, so I looked in Richard's direction only to see him folding a note up and placing it in the corner of my purse. I grinned and reached over and poked his hand before he could pull it back up, which caused him to go red.
"What could this be?" I questioned in mock interest as I pulled the note up.
After I unfolded the note, I grinned as I read the contents of it.
Stop getting me in trouble woman! It's not nice!
♥
Your LLLLOOOOOOOOOOVVVE
I bit my lip extremely hard so I wouldn't laugh. My god he was so retarded.
Swiftly, I pulled out my pen and wrote him a small reply before crumpling it up and chucking it at his head.
"Tori! I can't believe I'm saying this...but do something like that again and you're going to detention." Mrs. Gandenberger warned.
I nodded lightly, only to get laughed at by Richard as he shook his head and opened the note.
"Class is dismissed!"
My eyes brightened considerably as I literally jumped from my seat and pulled all my stuff into my arms and lifting my purse from the ground.
"Hell no you're not my 'lllloooooooooovvve'. I don't even know why you talk to me!" Richard recited in mock anger.
Laughter sprang from my mouth as I patted his head...which included me reaching above my own head lightly. I grinned widely as I poked him in the cheek as we exited the classroom.
"TTTTOOOORRRRIIII!!" A girl screeched, tackling me to the ground.
"Crrryyyysssttaaaalllll...." I whined, pushing her off and rubbing my sore butt.
"Ow...that looks like it hurts Tori...." Richard began, walking towards me. "Mind if I help you out?"
"Pervert!" I 'shrieked', pushing him away.
"Oh, you wanna go?"
Richard was immediately in my face with an angry expression on while pressing up against me lightly.
"Hell yeah I wanna go!" I retorted, pressing up against him more.
We both raised our fists lightly when a hand was placed on my chest and I was pushed back.
"Bitch, get away from my man." Crystal defended, putting her hand on her hip.
"Oh, I am so not a bitch."
I walked back up and shoved Crystal, making her step back lightly before pulling her fist back and aiming for my nose. I quirked a brow lightly before dodging her 'punch' and beginning to move my fist towards her stomach.
"Ladies, ladies, ladies." Richard cooed, stopping my fist as he walked in between us, an arm around each of our shoulders. "Can't we just work this out?"
"I guess so, Richard." Crystal replied with 'oogly' eyes as she stared at him.
"Yeah...I can work it out." I responded as well, staring at him with the same eyes.
"That's some fucked up shit right there." Another girl's voice intervened, appearing in front of us.
"Hell yeah it is." Crystal and I laughed simultaneously.
"Emo freaks acting like preppy bitches." Richard sighed. "This day is turning out lovely."
"You wish." I grinned, pushing Richard lightly before hugging him as a teacher called out that it was time to get to class. "See ya'll in an hour!"
"I LOVE YOU TORI!"
I was then tackled to the ground again, this time barely catching myself as I 'landed' face first.
"God damn it, Crystal!"
