I don't know if it was the power of the first kiss, or the fact that I suddenly found myself back in our cabin… or even the combination of both, but I felt like the world had slipped away from beneath my feet and the only thing holding me up was Jake. It wasn't like complete and utter bliss had settled down into the pit of my stomach. It was more like a boiling inferno of something that was threatening to let loose. I could feel everything, sense everything. And what I could feel was Jake's body pressing me up against the wall as he held my face in his hands and pressed his mouth to mine.

It was ecstasy. I won't lie.

His tux jacket had become unbuttoned and I pulled furiously at the cloth of his shirt, pulling him closer to me, arching my body into his. This was something I hadn't dared to play through my imagination for fear of being disappointed. But now… Now all I could do was let my body do what it wanted to. Jake's jacket ended up on the floor but he didn't seem to complain about that. His hands where busy roaming all over and I couldn't help but let it drive me crazy. I suddenly couldn't understand how I had gone so long without dreaming about something like this.

I could feel his hands going for the zipper of my dress when a voice suddenly cut through the room; icy and level and French.

"You know Jakell, I never thought you would stoop so low as to get involved with a human. I thought your blood taught you better then that. It's almost revolting"

And it wasn't like Jake froze and suddenly looked confused. In an instant, one I couldn't even see, I suddenly found myself shielded by Jake's body, pressed firmly against the wall. And I couldn't even see who had said spoken. Plus, he was squishing me.

"Jake!" I gasped, "I can't breathe!" His body pulled off of mine slightly but my view was still blocked.

And in the coldest, almost sinister, voice I had ever heard Jake produce, he said, "What are you doing here?"

"To collect my bounty of course." The woman said in a disgustingly sweet tone, as if she was smiling. "What else would I be doing? Well…." She trailed off, "Besides paying you a visit. We haven't seen each other in so long."

"There is a very specific reason for that." Jake replied, still keeping up his icy front.

The voice tisked as I struggled to obtain a view of our rude intruder. When I finally did I couldn't help but let out another gasp; and a lame gasp to boot. "Jake, who is that?" I squeaked out, immediately noticing the raven haired beauty sitting on a recliner was a vampire. Her icy white skin and ethereal eyes immediately gave her away, and I couldn't help but feel threatened. It didn't help that it looked like Jake was ready to attack if she decided to move.

The woman's piercing black stare immediately found me. "My name is Jezebelle. Not that you're fit to speak it."

Jezebelle? Jake's Jezebelle? Holy crap. This was bad. Not to mention that she had just refereed to me as her bounty. At least, I was assuming she was talking about me. We where on this stupid boat because I was on his family's Sh..t List. It was safe to assume, right? I could suddenly feel my heart hammering away in my chest. I was almost sure; by the lustful look Jezebelle suddenly threw my way, that she could hear it.

"You Jakell. We had so much going for us, but you suddenly let that little heart of yours beat." The woman looked evilly at me, "And for a human nonetheless. Pathetic." She hissed, her voice dripping with disdain.

"Jezebelle… you sound almost jealous." Jake mocked.

Jezebelle face immediately smoothed over and her former look of peace and sinister tranquility settled back into place. If anyone's heart didn't beat, it was definitely hers. But she seemed to avoid Jake's pointed jab into her ego and rounded her shoulders. "So, are you going to hand over the cow or are you going to make me take her from you?" She bit.

A cow? She called me a cow. Who calls people cows? Honestly.

"You should leave." Jake insisted.

"Perhaps." She replied, visibly uncaring. "But you shouldn't underestimate me you know."

"You know better then that Jeze." Jake replied icily, alluding to something I didn't quite understand. Maybe that he was stronger then her and she didn't stand a chance? At least, that's what I was hoping. Besides that, I was glad Jake was there defending me… visibly defending me. I mean, he'd spent the last week or more defending me, but now I actually had a visible opponent and I had a face to attach to the danger.

'Jeze' looked turned darker and she pushed out her bottom lip in an infantile pout. "You know how I feel about that pet name of yours." She quipped, almost playfully.

"I couldn't forget if I wanted to."

"Well then I have an idea." Jezebelle said, relaxing even deeper into the plush recliner. "I will let you off this boat. And once you reach the city, we shall decide from there who gets to keep the cow. A game of cat and mouse perhaps?"

The sudden image of me running through the slick streets of London without Jake suddenly wheedled it's way into my brain. As a cow too. Jezebelle calm and collected walked smoothly behind me as she chased me. I was panicked and throwing my huge cow head back and forth and over my shoulder as I looked for an escape.

Jake didn't answer. He just looked coldly at Jezebelle and tensed, squeezing my arm almost painfully, when Jezebelle rose effortless from the chair. My heart and stomach seemed to jump into my throat with the movement.

"See you soon my love." She smiled before disappearing altogether, leaving the balcony door wide open.

Jake remained still after several seconds, still tense and still holding onto me tightly. I was almost positive I'd have a bruise later on. Not that it mattered, I was already slipping into a full blown panic attack.

"We need to get off this boat." He finally managed to breath out, but still not moving.

"Uh… we're kind of in the middle of the Atlantic." I panted, not able to keep the distress out of my voice.

Jake spun around to face me, keeping his hand firmly planted on my shoulders. I could already see him start to swim in my failing vision. I could feel my knees going out and my blood pressure dropping. "Jake…." I said, feeling my eyes start to roll to the back of my head.

"It's okay, she's gone." He chanted, his eyes wide. I tried concentrating on his eyes, trying to keep myself from feeling the panic that was overtaking me.

"I can't…. I can't…. stop." I managed to squeeze through my hyperventilating. "I-I, s-s-she's g-going to kill m-me!" The darkness was settling in and I could feel myself sinking to the ground, my back still up against the wall, my chest still heaving with the massive breaths I was taking.

I didn't feel Jake catch me when I finally passed out.

A/N: I know, you waited forever and you only got a few pages. Sorry, but yeah, life does tend to trump my little fictional realities. As for the lemon, I haven't decided to ya or na it. So if there is a lemon, you'll know it when you see it.

Story ADD is kicking in again, but I'm rearing it in. I will WIN this time!
