Arlynn Thomas tilted her head, peering out the frost bitten window, watching as the snow fell in little drunken swirls.
She wiped a few tiny frozen tears away from her rosy cheeks and sniffled.
She was usually an emotionally strong person.
Was being the keyword there.
It turned to 'was' when a certain man fell into her life.
Both Arlynn Thomas and Adam Siska were known as the perfect couple.
They made cute little nicknames for each other.
They held hands and cuddled when the lights turned out for Friday Fright Night Movies.
They got along with the other's friends.
But what went on behind closed doors was anything but perfect.
There were holes in the walls of their apartment from flying objects barely missing its targets.
There were two bedrooms,
one for Adam and the other for Arlynn.
Sometimes they would be in the others' room searching for comfort.
The same comfort they only stayed 'together' for.
"WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT!"
A keyboard smashed into the wall, denting it's wooden structure.
"GOOD FOR NOTHING WHORE!"
A wide-flat-screen monitor followed in it's footsteps.
Arlynn let out a growl, "If I'm good for nothing then--"
"Shut up, Ari."
Adam knew what was coming, he knew that she could trap him with her words.
She could crush him with her voice.
His fingers inched towards the crappy printer on the wooden desk.
Just incase she decided to throw something else.
"No. If I'm good for nothing then why are you wasting time with me?"
"Ari, don't you dare---"
"If I'm such a 'whore' then why do you scream my name in ecstasy, Adam?"
His mouth started to open and close like a fish.
But she wouldn't back down.
Not just yet.
"If I'm such a good for nothing whore, then why are you even here?" She screamed, kicking at the crappy desk, making the printer move dangerously close to the edge.
He felt like a bomb.
Two more seconds and he would explode.
"If I'm worth nothing, then why don't you leave?"
She was pushing him.
She wanted him to bend and break.
She wanted him to back down.
She wanted him gone.
He wanted to punch the wall.
He wanted to explode.
In fact, he was going to explode.
He could just imagine all the guts on the walls,
the blood splattered over her clothes.
Maybe that would be the only thing that he could to to make her happy.
Maybe if he died,
she would find someone better.
Have a better life
without him.
"DON'T FUCKING IGNORE ME ADAM SISKA!" She yelled, grabbing his chin in her hand so he would look at her.
"I FUCKING LOVE YOU!" He screamed back, silencing her. "I STAY HERE BECAUSE I FUCKING LOVE YOU! I DO ALL THOSE THINGS BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!"
She stared at Adam, her mind suddenly blank.
He couldn't love her.
He doesn't love her.
He's lying.
Arlynn backed away towards the exit.
He's lying.
Her fingers finally found their way around the door knob.
Adam saw this and started to walk over toward her, "No Arlynn--"
The door slammed behind her running body, and the crappy printer
crept towards the edge, trying to balance for a few seconds
before smashing into pieces on the floor.
Adam stared down at the pieces in disbelief, then looked at the door.
Don't leave, he finished inside his head.
After his confession she was supposed to love him too.
She wasn't supposed to leave.
She wasn't supposed to leave him in pieces.
She was supposed to stay there.
She was supposed to stay there and be his.
Adam fell down on to his knees, his vision blurring slightly; a certain part of his chest started to thump painfully.
Hurting him so much, that a few tears spilled on to his cheeks.
He was usually an emotionally strong person.
Was being the keyword there.
It turned to 'was' when a certain girl fell out of his life.
All that matters to me girl, win or lose,
is an x-rated complete swirl of me and you...
