.::Chemistry Within Two Shadows::.{Nara Shikamaru}.:Chapter 9:.

Days passed, no actually weeks, you and Shikamaru have actually been alert but not too alert as both of you were stubborn enough to not let the other believe that you have weakened, but yea, you two are all peace, always hung around and today was actually what you can call one whole month of not being touched by Orochimaru, nope, not one Orochimaru attack and you were actually glad with it.
The Nara family has even grown accustomed to your presence, it's like you've lived there all your life.

With one stretch and yawn you sat up from the green valley and stared down at the view, with a slight giggle you looked up at the blue clear sky and muttered, "How awesome is it to finally live at a place without moving?"

"Who knows, haven't tried it"

You narrowed your eyes and stood up with caution, staring at the dark brown eyes, the grin at his face you release a huge smile and tackle the person down.

"Purr... Please get a room?" Your kitten, Kay purred at the back as you pushed yourself off the person and shook your head lying at his side. "I missed you, Shika-kun"

Shikamaru placed his hands behind his head and stared at the bird fluttering passed, the butterflies soaring side by side, everything seemed to have been in pairs. "How are you?"
"Been better" you groaned as you lay on your side, facing the Nara lad and curled up closer to Shikamaru. "And you?" you questioned with a loss of volume to your voice as your eyes begun to flutter to a close.
"Could've been better, but seeing you..." He turned his head to look at your form, so peaceful and innocent; caressing your cheeks he stood up and carried you in a piggy back. "Seeing you... made it greater, Megu-Chan" He continued as he began to pace home.


"Ooh... Where...?" Slowly opening your eyes you noticed you could see yourself being carried at the back of Shikamaru, you slightly released a smile and asked, "How'd I get here?"
You saw yourself snoozing at the Nara's back, you blushed and looked down.
"Wait a minute... If I'm there then what the f-" You turned and narrowed your eyes, "Kay what the hell!!!"
Kay purred, she was not her kitten self, but a white tall tiger, you blinked and shook your head. "You're joking"
"No, I'm not, just for not ok? Trust me" Kay purred and beckoned you to walk her way.
Staring over your shoulders, you muttered secretly to Shikamaru to take care as you ran. You didn't know where you were headed, but all you knew is that your floating into people and towards the central Konoha, the place where the Hokage Tsunade has been having a really important meeting with the Jounins and the Nara family, Kay told you this, she had eyed onto the male Nara.
"Kay, are you sure about this?"
Kay went into the room and there Tsunade stood, her eyes staring deep into a scroll, bearing in mind that there were a lot of people awaiting for her to talk, you took a seat behind her knowing no one is at knowledge of your presence.
"I called you all here today..." Tsunade began to speak as she stood up with her hand crossed right in front of her, her eyes staring deeply at the scroll. "... We are to discuss the matter of Shishou Megu, I accept her presence here, I accept she were to become a proper citizen, but her past haunts me even though it's not mine"
"Why worry?"
Lady Hokage looked up and Kakashi there with a shrug, you felt kind of insulted by that question, Tsunade shook her head and turned around, staring directly at you - not really just behind you - the map with all the towns and villages are. Anyway, she pointed at one particular spot, Sound Village. "She came from here... I received a disturbing message... It was then after that assault from Orochimaru three years ago, that today was the anniversary of many people's deaths. Shishou Megu was one of those attackers..." She spoke with a stern voice, she wanted something, and you could see it through her saddened eyes. "And since that incident nearing a month ago... People are questioning me that maybe she was to return back to her old ways... And it is that... I... I..."


Waking up, your eyes went to tears straight after and managed to fall off from Shikamaru's back, landing flat onto the concrete, which really hurt like hell, but not as painful as what Tsunade had said about you.

"Megu-Chan" Shikamaru called to you, but you lay there flat, your eyes opened and slightly blinking, you were too deep in thought staring at you hands as it lay there fat, you could see Shikamaru's worried face at the corner of your eyes, Kay in front of you sitting, she too knew your problem. "Megu-Chan... Are you ok?"

"Shikamaru-Kun..." You whispered and leaped forth and hugged him at his waist beginning to cry.

"I know... Something's up... She's not telling me"

"Ah, so you're at that stage... Oooh... Why are you not telling me these things Shikamaru?"

Shikamaru arched a brow; Ino giggled and looked over her shoulder as they talked outside as the full moon rose above them. "I mean, both of you can trust me" She continued as she stared up at the moon, Shikamaru stood up and looked up too. "Yea, but I don't think Megu-Chan is up to that stage yet"

"Yes she is" Ino turned to him. "You know it" she insisted as she slapped his shoulder. "So don't be too nave and just tell her how much you feel about her and then she'll step up... You should know a lot better than this, Shikamaru"

"Insisting something that can happen never works Ino-Chan" Shikamaru replied as he looked away, Ino sighed in defeat, "Well, I can find a way for you to open that stubborn yap of yours and admit how you feel" She grunted as she turned and said good night heading home.

As for you, you leaned over at the wall and spoke, "How often does Ino-Chan persuade you to doing things you don't want to?"
"Ah, all the time" He replied as he turned to face you, his hand rubbing the back of his neck looking straight at you, though he couldn't see your eyes as you were in the shadows, you could see him clearly, he was right under the spotlight of the moon. "But all the things she does to me is out of 'love', as Ino-Chan would say"

"Love?" you winced.

"Oh, not that way; as in like, a brother and sister" He explained as he walked slowly towards you closing the big gap. "But-"

You closed the gap fully and placed your finger on his lips, staring deep into his eyes. "No, don't say anything... Look Shika-kun, I do want a companion other than Kay, but not now... Not until my name on that death list has been erased... That's why I have to go" you explained with a sad voice.

"Will I see you again?"

"It really depends..." You leaned in closing both your lips into a passionate kiss.
